Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon's Might-Chapter 448 - 440: What do you think this is?
Chapter 448: Chapter 440: What do you think this is?
The Plane Talisman is still reliable; it doesn’t have problems easily.
This time when Leon used the Plane Talisman, he smoothly appeared at Watchtower Port—Volcanic Island has Tassera’s magical protection, disallowing arbitrary teleportation in or out—without facing the awkward situation of deviating a thousand kilometers from the destination like last time.
Upon returning to Watchtower Port, Leon suddenly became leisurely. He transformed into human form and strolled slowly down the bustling streets of Watchtower Port, buying some snacks on the way. After eating, he flew casually to Volcanic Island, and upon reaching Tassera’s Mage Tower, found that Tassera was unexpectedly not inside; the Mage Tower was completely empty.
Leon was too lazy to run around, so he lounged languidly on Tassera’s bed, read a book for a while and fell asleep wrapped in a blanket. Upon waking, he found Tassera sitting by the bed... He liked Tassera’s back view; her loosely curled long hair cascading like a waterfall, and the alluring curves beneath her robe made his mouth dry.
"You’re awake?" Tassera didn’t turn around, "When did you get back?"
"Can’t remember," Leon turned over, sat up slightly, wrapped his arms around Tassera’s slender waist, and caressed her flat belly, "I only know I went to find her as soon as I returned because I missed her."
"Since when did you learn to sweet talk?" Tassera raised an eyebrow, "Are you a Red Dragon or a Green Dragon?"
"Don’t you like it?" Leon gently inhaled the fresh scent of Tassera’s hair, "I won’t say it in the future." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"I like it." Tassera turned around and looked down at Leon, her long hair flowing, eyes sparkling with captivating light, openly said, "I like it, super love it."
Leon pursed his lips, suddenly reached out to hook Tassera’s neck and flipped her onto the bed, pressing her down.
"What are you doing? Don’t fool around," Tassera opened her eyes wide, "I was still reading."
Leon was now straddling Tassera, snatched the book from her hand, glanced at it, and tossed it to the floor, saying, "What trash book is this? No point reading."
"I borrowed it at a high price through Edwin’s connections," Tassera knew Leon had no aptitude for magic, "You can’t just call it a trash book because you don’t understand it."
"I’m calling it trash; it’s trash," Leon reached into the air, about to fetch the book he snatched from the Witchcraft Grocery Store in Border’s Gate, but paused awkwardly.
Leon’s unusual behavior caught Tassera’s attention, she asked, "What’s up with you?"
"Can you guess what I did in Ferren?" Leon teased.
"No idea." Tassera tilted her head, "I remember you said... taking advantage of the chaos to gain some benefits?"
Leon claimed triumphantly, "I didn’t go to Ferren for myself at all; it was entirely for her."
"For me?" Tassera naturally trusted Leon but shook her head, "I don’t believe it."
"Since she doesn’t believe..." Leon laughed, activated Sleeve of the Universe, and pulled out a book, flaunting it before Tassera while gently caressing its gold-embossed cover, "Then I’ll just forget about this Sachiat’s Code."
"Sachiat’s Code?" Tassera’s pupils instantly contracted into slits; as a mage, she’d certainly heard of this legendary book, one rumored to contain powerful knowledge and possibly curses, "Is it real?"
"Fake, a fraud, a counterfeit," Leon flipped through Sachiat’s Code, which was filled with indecipherable symbols and strange runes, causing him a headache, then displayed the book to Tassera, "I can’t understand it, definitely fake."
"It’s real. Definitely real! I can feel the arcane magic energy flowing from that book." Tassera wanted to snatch the book, but Leon was ready.
Leon closed the book ahead of time, held it up high, and said, "Did I say you could look?"
"I want to see, really look," Tassera pouted, eyes watery, "Please, I’m begging you."
"Begging alone won’t cut it," Leon wasn’t going to give in easily, "You need to offer something substantial."
"I swear, I’ll agree to anything you ask me to do," Tassera looked at Leon firmly, then curiously asked, "Where did you get Sachiat’s Code?"
"Of course, I stole it." Leon said matter-of-factly, without a trace of shame, his outlook influenced by his Red Dragon identity, "Once I’ve decided what I want you to do for me, then, once you’ve done it, I’ll give it to you."
"Now, I want it now." Tassera lifted herself up and flipped Leon over, but Leon stored Sachiat’s Code within the space of his Sleeve of the Universe.
Now, Tassera had taken charge, sitting proudly atop Leon, with bright eyes that seemed to sparkle, gently biting her lip, she leaned down to kiss Leon’s ear, and whispered, "If you don’t give me Sachiat’s Code, I won’t let you touch me."
Leon wrinkled his nose, grunting as he pulled Tassera’s wrists aside, pinning them on the bed, and said, "I have plenty of strength and means."
"You’re such a jerk," Tassera shouted angrily, "Indeed, Red Dragons are bullies, thugs."
"Shout all you want," Leon said, "Even if you yell your throat hoarse, no one will save you."
After the storm had passed.
Leon rested his forearm under his head serving as a pillow, a satisfied grin on his face, while Tassera sulkily pinched him several times without venting enough. "Can you show me now?"
Leon, contented, no longer teased Tassera, lazily stretched out, and under her eager gaze, brought out the Sachiat’s Code.
Tassera received the Sachiat’s Code, hurriedly opened the pages, and started reading with keen interest. Noticing Leon beside her reading a book, she asked, "What are you reading?"
"You read yours, I’ll read mine," Leon deliberately turned away, "We won’t disturb each other."
"I asked what you’re reading," Tassera leaned on Leon.
"Nothing much," Leon allowed Tassera to tug at him, "It’s just Karsas Annals."
"It’s really nothing much," Tassera nodded, continued reading her Sachiat’s Code. Then suddenly, she reached out lightning-fast but missed.
"You didn’t think I’d be unprepared, did you?" Leon chuckled happily.
Tassera dissatisfiedly bit her lip, strands of hair caught in her mouth.
"Even if I give it to you, you won’t make anything of it," Leon said casually, "Karsas Annals is a record, detailing how to use Karsus Crown to deconstruct magic from its arcane structure base. Without Karsus Crown, reading it is futile."
Tassera was rather deflated until Leon pulled out a crown.
"Karsus Crown needs to be reforged to be usable," Leon fiddled with the Karsus Crown, attempting to fit the Nether Stone into it, "What do you think, if the Elder Brain wore Karsus Crown to become a Neser Brain, what would happen if a dragon wore it? Would it become a Nether Dragon?"
Leon mused to himself for quite a while, noticing Tassera uncharacteristically silent, turned to see she was pinching her own cheek.
"What are you doing?" Leon asked.
"Just checking if I’m dreaming." Tassera pinched herself hard, grimaced, "Ouch, that hurt. Not a dream."
"How did you become so silly?" Leon said disdainfully.
"Not dreaming?" Tassera soothed her trembling chest, trying to calm her excited heart, "Let’s do it again."
"Why suddenly do it again?" Leon wondered.
"Otherwise, I won’t feel at ease holding it," Tassera replied.
"Doing it again will make you feel at ease?" Leon said in disbelief, "This is Karsus Crown we’re talking about."
Tassera giggled foolishly.
