Talent Awakening! Every Legendary Summon Grants Me Assassin Attributes-Chapter 32: First Evolution 2 The unbelievable sight
A surge of lights appeared in the midst of Alkarya Street’s summoning ground, taking the shape of a man before finally forming into a tall, hooded, shadowy figure.
Oliver groaned slightly as he appeared, clearly displeased at what he had seen before entering the game. He wanted to summon up the interface to see what it meant, but that was already too little, too late.
All around him, he could hear murmuring.
Onlookers pointed to him one after the other, as though he had committed some sort of heinous crime.
However, they weren’t cursing, neither were they throwing blame.
Strangely, what filled their faces was admiration. Deep genuine admiration.
Some even waved at him, their smiles wide, eyes glistening with excitement. Like he had won some sort of lottery.
At this, Oliver simply paused. ’What the hell is going on?’
"Why the hell are they waving at me?" He shifted slightly, looking behind to see if there was anyone of particular interest. But there wasn’t... He was the one they were directing their accolades toward.
Oliver grumbled, turning to walk away in an attempt to escape the growing spotlight.
However, that proved to be a far worse mistake than he had anticipated.
A surge of players rushed toward him in excitement, their footsteps pounding against the stone pavements.
From their chaotic ruckus, he could barely pick out coherent words.
Something about... ’top’... ’Ranker’...
The rest blurred into incomprehensible noise, drowned in the overwhelming uproar.
The only thing he knew for certain, was that they were praising him.
[Activating Stealth Skill]
Oliver vanished instantly the mob, using his stealth skill to slip through the crowd, as confusion dawned on them from his sudden disappearance.
"Wow, Lord Crow is so amazing, he can literally disappear totally, his Stealth is on another level." One said.
"No wonder he’s a part of the top ten Rankers." Another praised 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Man, I really wanted to get him to join my party..."
Oliver listened to the fading conversations of the dispersing crowd as he moved past them, and he couldn’t help but groan.
’Top Ranker... Don’t tell me!’ he thought, lightly slapping his forehead.
Once he had finally put some distance between him and the mob, he checked his interface to confirm what they had said.
[Inbox: You are number eight of the top ten Rankers of Alkarya]
[Ranker: This is an exceptional player who climbs the ranks at an unimaginable rate. Only new players who have entered the game within four months can achieve this feat.]
Oliver was baffled.
He had completely forgotten such a system even existed. Considering his previous life had been one of weakness and extremely slow growth, where reaching the level of a Ranker was nothing more than an unattainable dream.
Still... this was good.
Very good.
When advancing to the next stage of the game leaving the beginner phase, his rank would grant him significant authority.
Rank was everything.
It dictated influence, power, and respect.
It gave Oliver—the Crow—the kind of presence a king would wield in the early stages.
’Still, that doesn’t mean I should get cocky... I’m still lacking in power.’
Oliver continued through Alkarya until he found a modest inn—not too large, not too luxurious, just average at best... Enough to avoid attention.
Perfect.
Stepping inside, he deactivated his stealth skill.
The establishment was nearly empty, save for a single man behind the counter and a maid quietly cleaning the dining tables.
NPCs.
’There are little to no NPCs in the game, especially at higher levels... and for an inn? It’s almost a waste. No one actually sleeps in the game,’ Oliver thought as he approached the counter.
The moment he stepped closer, the inn manager noticed him.
"Hello, lad. You here for food or lodging?"
"The inn," Oliver replied, summoning two Cores he had farmed from Orcs in the Ruins.
The inn manager’s eyes gleamed slightly as he grabbed the Cores and casually slipped them into his back pocket—far too quickly.
Greedy.
Then, as if performing a practiced trick, he pulled out a black key from nowhere in particular.
"Room one."
Oliver took the key and gave a slight nod.
’I’ll definitely come back for my Cores when I’m done,’ he thought, already planning ahead as he walked off.
---
Inside the small room he had rented, Oliver chose to sit on the floor instead of the bed.
Then, he opened the system interface.

A wave of pride briefly washed over Oliver’s face, but he suppressed it almost immediately.
First things first.
He tapped the interface.
[Are you sure you want to evolve?]
"Yes," he replied without hesitation.
[First, call your summon]
Oliver narrowed his eyes but complied, summoning the Dark Crow into the room before him. The creature emerged silently, its presence heavy and ominous.
He waited, staring at the grey interface, expecting further instructions.
Nothing came.
Oliver frowned, raising his hand to tap the notification again—
Thump!
Acting on instinct, he clutched his chest, his face twisting into a mixture of shock and agony.
A sudden, overwhelming pain erupted from his heart—so intense it forced him to hunch over, gasping for air.
[Your evolution has begun]
The pain—horrid and unbearable!
Oliver cried out, his teeth grinding together.
It felt as though thousands of burning ants were devouring his heart from within, spreading through his veins, his lungs, his very skin—turning every inch of his body into a battlefield of torment.
This was his evolution.
The agony stretched on mercilessly, until Oliver collapsed onto his side, rolling across the floor as he struggled to remain conscious.
Then—
It stopped.
Abruptly.
The pain, the fire, the consuming horror... Gone, as though it had never existed.
Silence followed.
Then—
Ding!
[You have successfully evolved]
[You have gained the body of a Bronze Assassin]
[Your summon has evolved]
[Your summon has become a Transcendent Crow]
"Grrgh—!" Oliver groaned, forcing himself upright with trembling arms. His body felt lighter... yet sharper. Deadlier.
He turned toward his summon.
And what he saw—
Was unbelievable.
The Crow had grown significantly, its size now nearly half of Oliver’s own. Its body was no longer a crude blend of feathers and flesh, it had transformed into something far more sinister.
It was shadow.
A Pure shadow form.
Its feathers shimmered with a dark, sizzling aura, as though darkness itself clung to its form, writhing faintly in the air.
It stood there—silent, regal and terrifying.
Oliver was no different.
His assassin’s cloak now carried a faint, shifting shadow aura, clinging to him like a living entity, enhancing his presence with an eerie, lethal grace.
But that wasn’t all.
Beside the Crow... was something else.
A small, scaly creature curled tightly into a ball. Its body resembled cold, polished metal, reflecting dim light with a faint, eerie sheen. It was about half the size of the Crow—yet far more enigmatic.
It radiated something ancient.
Something... dangerous.
Ding!
