Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas-Chapter 208: A failed plan
Tracy’s POV
Aria must have thought it was over when she made the school council make that verdict against me. I watched Larissa being beaten in the kingdom’s tribunal and later sent to the underworld.
Her family was slaughtered in cold blood because Larissa committed a treasonable felony.
Aria would face my wrath, and she wouldn’t even see it coming.
Tricia, Alexa and Professor Garrich are my only cards to getting my revenge on Ashwood and Aria. And with the look of things, she has also lost her most powerful asset, Liara.
"Ha, hah," I couldn’t contain my laughter.
She wouldn’t be able to last long in Ashwood, even with the Alpha successors at her side, having lost the princesses’ loyalty.
A phone call called me out of my thoughts.
I picked up the call hastily.
"Felicia and Liara have been detained," she said, her voice coming out raspy and hasty.
"What went wrong? Any information? I thought Professor Garrich was supposed to cover the grounds," I stood up from where I sat. This was more than I could bear.
"They are currently being detained in Ashwood, while Jackson has been taken to the kingdom’s correctional facility," she said.
"Really? And where is Professor Garrich in all of this?"
"I think he has been sacked from the academy; he wouldn’t be working here anymore."
"That can’t be true, Gosh," I screamed, crashing everything that was in sight.
"Tracy, are you okay in there?"
"Yes, mum, I’m fine," I replied to my mom, who has been especially closer to me since I was expelled from Ashwood.
"Are you sure you are okay, because it seems you are having your episodes again," she insisted.
"Mom, I said that I’m fine. I’m just tired of being indoors. I need to go to school, and yet no academy would accept me, because of her."
"And now I’m convinced that you are having one of your episodes again," Mum said, trying to get inside my room.
My mum had always insisted that I had bipolar tendencies, probably because my father was also bipolar. But I wasn’t bipolar, I was fine. But how would I defend that after being sent out of school for having communicated with vampires, and my only defence in the kingdom’s council tribunal was ’the bipolar disorder tendencies’?.
"I’m fine, mum, just get back to what you are doing, because I wouldn’t be opening up anytime soon."
"Hello, Tracy, you seem distracted. Can I call you later when you are less distracted?"
"Hold up, we are not done yet. So what is the next step?"
"I’m not sure yet, and I can’t blow up my cover yet," she replied. "But soon enough, I will cause confusion between her and the Alpha successors, and when there is an issue between them, I’ll make sure Sir Kaelric isn’t also on her side, so that we can get to her."
"Are you sure that you can do this? Everyone I had trusted had failed, and it seems the bond she shares with her mates is very strong; it would be hard to penetrate."
"It’s going to be easy, trust me."
"Then your friend will be free in no distant time. I’m making some plans. Ashwood and the entire kingdom don’t know what awaits them," I replied.
"I just want my friend free, I don’t care about the rest of your plans, provided my friend and I are safe."
"Of course, you both will be safe," I said and hung up the phone.
Everyone in Ashwood is selfish. Look at her asking for her friend’s safety, without caring how many lives will be lost in the process of ensuring it. Let’s see how that goes. I just want her to fulfil her own part of the deal, or I’ll make sure she dies.
A wicked laugh tore through my throat.
"Open this door, Tracy, or I’ll tear it down," my mum shouted as she knocked on my door.
"What for mum? I told you that I’m ok. I’m perfectly fine, so what do you want this time?" I yelled back at her.
"It’s important for you to know that Felicia, your sister, is suddenly missing," she said. "And I want you outside, right now, before you make me do the wrong thing.
I reluctantly walked to the door and opened it, leaving it slightly ajar.
She knocked it open, stepping inside like she owned my room, and plopping herself on my bed. "Tracy, what are you doing locked up inside all day, and crashing out? Just take a look at your room.
It’s ok that you let your bipolar tendencies make you almost commit a treasonable felony in Ashwood, and right now, you lock yourself up in this room, ruining the whole place. Do you want me to get you off my property? You are just like your father."
"Enough, mum. I’m just like you. You want me to be this and that all at the same time, but I just can’t choose what I want to be. You are such a bully. Most times, I can’t even believe you. Tracy, you are an Alpha’s daughter; you have to act like that to attract an Alpha. Tracy, no Betas in your league, you are supposed to associate with Alpha’s only. Tracy, you should always be the lead; don’t let anyone take it from you, do whatever it takes to always be on top. The moment you cease to be on top, that moment you cease to be recognized in my home. So many expectations, Mom, so much."
I let out a sad laugh, while Mum just stared at me, dumbfounded. "You know what, I learned to always be on top, even if it meant bullying others to silence.
I made friends who are Alphas only; any rank lower than that is for my use and discarded when they are no longer useful. You want to know what landed me in this situation? I always wanted to be on top.
