Cedric was fuming like a bull at the man’s words. He wanted to punch him and throw him out of this country and their lives, but the fact that he was her biological father of Eleanor stops him. And he didn’t like approaching him on her own.

He wanted to yell, shout and scold her but he held back. Cedric can’t do that. He made enough mess with his idiocy and with his anger issues.

But that man’s words still ringing in his ears making him further angry. ’When one is incapable of protecting the one they loved they have no right to be together with them. Yet again, it’s their choice. A third person is a nobody when two people are together,’

He didn’t notice that he was hurting his precious wife.

"Cedric, leave me. You are hurting me!" Eleanor winced in pain. Cedric realized what he was doing when he heard her pained voice. He noticed her bruised wrist.

"I am sorry. I am just too angry," he said.

"You always hurt me and then say sorry," she said with tears in her eyes. She can’t understand why he always hurt her as if he made a pact with her which says he can hurt her anytime and anywhere without caring about her feelings.

Was all his care all these days a show?

She was confused again. Cedric always confuses her.

Yet again! She has to be the one who should understand him!

She has to be the considerate one!

She has to be the one who has to consider both families fame and prestige!

She has to be the one to bend all her rules and morals for him!

And again! She has to be the one who has to take the burnt!

She has to be the one who has to endure the pain!

And again... she was the one who gets hurt.

She was the one who got no explanation.

She was the one who gets blamed for everything.

She has to forgive him for everything understands him, swallowing the pain she received, and again... she has to behave as if nothing happened yet a misunderstanding. And again back to the loving couple.

She admits, she loves this imperfect man. What she can do other than bear everything for committing the sin of falling in love with him.

"I am really sorry. Please don’t cry," he begged, seeing her teary eyes.

Cedric realized he really hurt her. And adding to the fact that being pregnant, she was digging into the past every now and then making his life hell. Maybe this was one of the biggest disadvantages for him since she became pregnant. She was literally showing him hell whenever she got mood swings with her sarcastic comments.

And now... he dragged her from the crowd bruising her wrist with his tight grip. When she said "You always hurt me and then say sorry," his heart dropped to his stomach.

He was being careful with his words and actions in front of her every damned second! But someone how he messes it up every damned time, making her sad! And he can’t blame her, he was the one to be blamed. Because she was trying to give him a chance but his foolishness messes everything up. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

What he can do when he was at fault?

If it was some other woman, she would have dumped him in a dumpster before walking away without looking back. But she... was a kind woman, a loyal one, and an emotional one. She doesn’t give up on someone till the last string was broken.

She was a rare gem that one could find. Eleanor has many chances to leave him. She got her brother back, her business got back on track, Zora’s family is clearing the debts that they took from Emerson groups, and she was fulfilling her dreams now. She gave everything, in fact, the presence of Cedric was redundant to her. But she gave him a chance only because she loves him. But here he was ruining.

To the eyes of the world, she has a perfect life while others envied to get but only he knew how imperfect their life was.

Cedric took a deep breath and walked to her. Cupping her face in his palms, he looked into her tear-filled emerald eyes. "I am sorry. Beat me up. We will buy a whip, beat me till my skin tore apart. I won’t complain a single word. I deserve to be beaten up. I am really sorry.

"I have anger issues and I am foolish too. But please don’t cry. That makes my heart bleed in pain. I will change everything. And I am trying hard to change them from now, I will try harder. Please... don’t cry. I will buy you a blueberry cake along with chips and french fries," he said. She just nodded at him. Eleanor knew she can’t deny him. And she knew she can’t resist the food. But she resisted this time. Because of Pica, she wasn’t interested in food as she was back then. Nevertheless, she stayed quiet. She was tired of fighting with this man. Maybe she needs to go back to her house and stay with her family for a while. She missed her brother and father. Eleanor needs to have a chat with Cedric after she reaches home.

Cedric knew she was disappointed but she chose to stay quiet. A date would cheer her up. He will take her to the date after collecting the diet chart before going home. Maybe this will help her in lifting her mood. He started making plans for a date.

"Shall we go?" he asked.

"I need to use the restroom," she said to him in a low voice.

"Do you want me to accompany you?" he asked.

"No need. I can manage," she said as she started walking back into the banquet hall. Cedric started walking behind her ignoring her words.

Eleanor noticed this and glared at him. Cedric stopped in his tracks. Maybe he shall go back and ask Nathaira or Tiffany to accompany her. She would be mad if he follows. And he can’t afford to anger her.

He went back and saw that everyone dispersed leaving Myna and Anthony alone. He started searching for them but couldn’t find them. Finally, he decided to take his phone and call them. Taking his phone out he dailed Oliver’s number and asked Nathaira to go to the washroom to accompany Eleanor. Nathaira agreed and went to the washroom. Cedric heaved a sigh of relief and then went back to one of the business partners to continue.

Just then Nathaira came running to Cedric panting, "Cedric, Eleanor is missing," she said frantically.

Cedric’s heart stopped at her words.
