The Accidental Mage: Awakening of the Ordinary-Chapter 35: Gods’ Gathering

*In Mount Olympus, seven of the twelve gods were having a meeting about the power that everyone felt earlier.*

"Is these everyone? Where are the others?"

A god that looks like a middle aged man with a great physic queried. His voice was deep and loud, and sounds charismatic. He has a lightning bolts around his entire body that sparks every now and then. He was called Zeus, and he rules the Mount Olympus.

"Ares was still doing his training, especially after feeling that monstrous power from earlier. I wouldn't be surprise if he was doing his training more intense than usual."

A young looking god replied, he was holding a staff with two entwined snakes.

"And how about Apollo? Hermes, would you mind to tell us what his reason for not attending this assembly is?"

"Well, Apollo said that he didn't want to side with anyone or any group, and only wants to be neutral."

"What is it that he wants to convey with that message, Hermes? Are you saying to us present in this assembly that Apollo was trying to tell us that there is another side that could take us on?"

Zeus replied with a menacing look in his eyes. The lightning bolts around his body sparks rapidly.

Zeus is known for his temper, and almost all the gods in this meeting doesn't want him to get angry because he can be so annoying when he does.

"I could only repeat what his message was, I don't have the right to speak for him, Zeus. I apologize."

Hermes bowed his head after apologizing. The thing is Hermes can get intimidated by Zeus really easily.

"Let's forget those fools for now and proceed with the topic that everyone wants to talk about."

Artemis replied, she is the goddess of the hunt, and she always brings her bow and arrow wherever she goes.

"Everyone felt that powerful energy but no one could pinpoint where it really came from because of how fast it disappeared. The way I see it, it's just one of 'his' experiments that failed just like what we felt over a year ago, we thought that maybe there's another 'one' that needs to be taken care of but it turns out it was just one of Hades' failed experiments."

Poseidon replied casually, as Zeus' older brother, he doesn't really care about his younger brother's position and just do what he wants or say what he wants the way he wants to say it.

"Hmmp. If this is just one of Hades' little experiment, then shouldn't we be more thoughtful about it? If he could perfect this experiment of his' then we might as well just kneel to him, am I wrong?"

"No. You have a point, but what I am trying to say is that, why should fear his little experiments when we can just use force against it, just like old times."

Poseidon replied as he lay back into his chair and wears a smirk on his face.

"You're right, let's do what it your way again. No one has ever escape death from our hands, not even the great one."

Zeus replied with an evil grin.

"Could you please uphold peace for once? You two are always into chaos and battle, why not promote love instead?"

Aphrodite spoke for once and then shuts her mouth immediately when Zeus and Poseidon give her a look of contempt.

"Artemis, I want you to get to the bottom of this and report back to us."

"Why do you always pick me when it comes to locating someone? If your argument is that I am the goddess of the hunt, then you should also let me kill everyone I hunt for you, is that okay?"

Artemis protest to Zeus orders.

"Alright, you can kill the small fries but when it comes to Hades himself, you should report back to us. Is that clear?"

Zeus ordered.

"Whatever, Zeus. I'll be on my way after I prepare my something."

"Alright, now this assembly is adjourned. You may now take your leave."

Zeus stood up from his and went into his balcony to look at the beautiful scenery. His gaze was laying around the massive landmass in front of him.

Everyone left the room except for Poseidon who remained sitting in his chair.

"You don't have to worry about it Zeus."

"I don't know what you're talking about Poseidon, I don't feel worry, it's the opposite actually. It seem the assembly has given me reason to feel excited. Yes, I actually felt excited because it's been decades since I had experienced the joy of battle. So, if Hades were to complete his experiment and decides to face us, then I can experience that happiness again."

"I feel you brother, I feel you."

Poseidon replied as he stood from his chair with his fist clenched.

"I will take my leave now, I'll see you soon."

Poseidon left the room.

A little while later, Artemis came back to the room and ask for permission to leave.

"I'm done preparing my things Zeus. I came to ask for your permission so that I can leave."

"A permission has been granted, take your leave and Godspeed."

Zeus raised his hand and a huge eagle came in their balcony.

"You can use this one as your carrier, he can take you anywhere you wanted."

"Thank you Zeus."

Artemis bowed her head and take her leave by riding at the back of the huge eagle.

Back to the Emberheart's Kingdom, all the people where in panic. The guards were stationed from every corner of the capital's great wall.

Aziel manage to slip through the front gate and head directly to their Academy's dorm.

It was already past dinner time when he got into their door.

When he opens their door, he was greeted by a triple smack in his head.

"What the hell were you thinking!? Everyone was in panic because of you!"

"The last time you only killed one beast, but now you're destroying dungeons!? What is wrong with you!?"

"We know that you don't want to put our lives in danger again, but you could at least tell us first this time before making your move."

Damian was the first one to scold him, which was followed by Jake who was shouting silently, and then Rocky was the last to say his two cents.

"I'm sorry guys, I'm sorry that I made you worry. Next time I will give you a heads up first."

Next time!? There will be no more next time!"

Damian yelled but Aziel just smile playfully and went inside the dorm.

Aziel gave the two shrunken monolith to Rocky before walking directly to the bathroom to take a bath.

After he finished cleaning his body and changed his clothes, Aziel went straight to his bed to do meditation.

"Dude! Don't tell me you're not hungry!? We waited for you to get back here so that we could eat dinner together! But now, you're training again? Oh, come on man, let's go! I'm starving!"

Jake complains and started walking towards the door.

Aziel had no choice but to follow because the other two, which is Damian and Rocky, was practically crying from hunger beside him.

"Alright, we're eating dinner!"

Aziel stood from his bed and walked outside the door.

"YES!"

Aziel's three companions celebrated and happily went to the cafeteria.

On their way there, Rocky was eager to know what really happened to the dungeon, and why did it collapsed?

"I will tell you guys what really happened when we get back to our room. It isn't safe to talk about it anywhere outside our room, so please just wait for a while. I will clear all your thoughts about the incident."

Aziel replied.

"What do y'all want to eat for dinner?"

Jake asked.

"You know what Jake? I was my first time hearing you ask about food. I think you should start to worry about your appetite now."

Rocky said while walking with his hands protecting his head.

Jake was embarrassed by Rocky's words, and was about to give him a smack of the century when suddenly all their stomachs growled simultaneously.

"Well, I don't feel embarrassed anymore."

Jake said then laugh, and everyone laugh after.

When their group reach the cafeteria, it was already quiet. Only a few people left eating, and the cafeteria was about to close.

"Here they are! My new heroes! I got a little sad when I didn't saw you guys here for dinner, and I thought you won't show up."

"We're a bit busy earlier because of training. Miss?"

Aziel asked politely.

"Oh, my bad. It's Edith. Edith Morgan."

Edith introduces herself.

"Miss Edith, thank you for letting us eat here. And we're very sorry if we put too much food on our platter, but we always make sure not to leave any left overs."

"Yeah, and the food here is awesome. I don't mind getting fat if I can eat here as much food as I want."

Jake smiled to Edith.

"Dude, I would really have to worry about my appetite if I were you."

Rocky teased Jake once again.

"YOU!"

Jake's face was all red but he can't do anything as he doesn't want to look like a bully in front of other people.

"Alright! Stop it with your games kids, I'm really starving."

Damian holding his platter cut through their line and grab his food.

"Dude!"

Rocky reacted.

"What? I thought you were just gonna continue teasing each other. So, I took the initiative to grab my food first."

Damian replied coldly.

"Alright. Alright. Let's grab our food so we can eat already. Miss Edith, I am very sorry for my friends, but don't worry, they're good people."

"Wha..."

Damian was annoyed by Aziel's sentence and smack his head.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"Shut it! I'll head to the table first, and don't make me wait too long."

Damian walks to their table.

"He's a little grumpy."

"Yeah, forgive him. He's a little hungry, that's why."

Aziel replied.

"Hurry up guys! My food is getting cold!"

"Alright, we'll be there."

Aziel's group bowed to Edith and grabbed their food before heading to their table.

A few moments later and everyone finished their dinner.

"BURP!"

The four fellow simultaneously belched.

They all laugh in embarrassment and headed to their room after giving their thanks to Edith.
