Chapter 1198: Ice Emperor

"The final breath passed."

A glint of icy light flashed in Ling Feng's eyes, so sharp that even Murong Han froze for a moment. His sword faltered.

Boom!

Before anyone could comprehend what had happened, the alchemy furnace in Ling Feng's arms shattered.

Because of Murong Han's relentless pursuit, Ling Feng's elemental energy had surged and waned in irregular bursts. The furnace, already strained by the unstable refinement, finally reached its limit and detonated.

The blast tore through Ling Feng's arms, leaving them scorched and bloodied. Yet within the explosion, the Profound Sea Condensing Pill was finally complete!

Ling Feng wasted no time. He swallowed the pill whole, his eyes locking onto Murong Han through the haze of smoke and pain.

"Old fool, you will pay for this!"

Killing intent filled his gaze. A flicker of purple light rippled before him, and a pitch-black donkey appeared out of thin air.

The onlookers were dumbstruck.

A donkey? At a time like this?

Their confusion lasted only a heartbeat before they realized that this was no ordinary donkey!

The black donkey twisted midair in a smooth seven-hundred-twenty-degree spin and shouted, "Old geezer, you've got no shame at all!"

Murong Han's mind blanked for an instant. An enlightened donkey?

He recovered quickly and swung his colossal sword straight at the black donkey's head.

Whether enlightened or not, anything in his way must die!

"You dare raise your hand against your granddaddy divine donkey? You're courting death!"

Despicable Donkey lifted one hoof. With a single clash, the enormous sword struck his hoof and shattered with a thunderous crack, fragments scattering in all directions. The treasured sword, a low-tier sacred artifact, broke into hundreds of shards!

Murong Han's eyes bulged so wide they almost fell from their sockets.

What the hell is this thing?

"Hehe, old geezer, time to hand over your life!"

Despicable Donkey grinned, his hooves transforming into sharp claws. A dark blur flashed through the air. A spray of blood followed.

Murong Han's body plummeted from the sky, lifeless before it hit the ground.

A Human Emperor, slain in a single strike by a black donkey.

He never even had the chance to fight back.

Everyone watching trembled in disbelief. That donkey was far too terrifying!

"Pathetic. You dared to touch someone under this divine beast's protection?"

Despicable Donkey withdrew his claws and turned to glance at Ling Feng. Seeing him drenched in blood, he snorted. "Hey, you're not dead yet, right?"

"Not dead yet," Ling Feng said coldly. "But someone will be."

His eyes sharpened and locked onto Murong Qianjun.

Murong Qianjun felt as if he had fallen into an icy abyss. He had provoked the wrong man and had even gotten his own father killed!

"Young Master Murong," Ling Feng's voice came from behind him, chilling and flat. "Your father's dead. Shouldn't you be mourning him?"

Murong Qianjun broke down completely. "Please! Spare me! I'll give you anything, money, women, treasures, whatever you want, it's yours! Just let me live!"

"Learn when to stop in your next life!"

Ling Feng stepped forward and stomped down!

But just then, a sudden surge of aura made him stop!

The next moment, Ling Feng looked back and saw a lean, distinguished old man, followed by a woman in purple, striding toward him. Though their speed appeared slow, they had already come to a steady stop directly in front of Ling Feng within a few blinks of an eye.

Murong Zining!

Ling Feng's gaze passed over the old man and settled on her.

He hadn't expected to meet her again so soon.

Yet, he felt no surprise, for Tianhuang City lay entirely within the Murong Clan's domain.

Murong Zining's lips twitched when she saw the bloodied, round figure before her.

He was fat, yes, but could he not be fat in a way that was at least somewhat pleasant to look at? This one had buckteeth, flaring nostrils, and coarse features that made her recoil at first sight.

Yet something in his eyes felt strangely familiar. No matter how she tried, she could not connect this fatty with the man she hated most.

She despised Ling Feng, but she had to admit that, in her eyes, he had always been striking and composed.

Murong Qianjun, still mad with fear, scrambled to the feet of the old man and cried out, "Lord Ice Emperor, save me!"

In Tianhuang City, there were three other Human Emperors aside from the Venerable of the Desolate Sea. Each had reached the sixth level or higher. They were known as the Ice Emperor, the Sea Emperor, and the Thunder Emperor.

Among the three, the Ice Emperor ranked second and was the coldest and most ruthless of them all.
