Chapter 1214: Demonic Transformation

"What a venomous woman!"

A cold glint flashed in Ling Feng's eyes. "Yangshu Zi is your senior brother. Ten years ago you nearly wiped out the entire Jiugong Sect. Now you want to kill the last senior brother you have left?"

"As long as I can bring my husband back to life, everything is worth it!"

Madam Zhuqu had already lost all reason. She had become a puppet who willingly let herself be enslaved by a demonic creature.

Ling Feng shook his head, let out a light snort, and said coldly, "Madam Zhuqu, no matter how cunning your schemes are, if I am unwilling, do you think you can force me to use the power of my spiritual consciousness to open that soul seal?"

Madam Zhuqu gave a shrill, twisted laugh. "You do not need to worry about that. My master commands boundless divine skills. Making you undo the restriction is nothing more than a flick of his hand."

The ghostly face taking shape in the black smoke spoke again. "Bring him here. You have done well, and my ten-year wait was not in vain. Once I break free, the Spring of Eternal Youth will be yours!"

"Thank you, Master!"

Overjoyed, Madam Zhuqu bowed repeatedly. She reached out to seize the weakened Ling Feng.

At that moment the cabin door behind her was kicked open with brutal force. Bursting in were the Bald Blade Emperor, Shui Wuhen, and Lan Yuhuang.

"Damn it!"

The Bald Blade Emperor roared, "So it really was you playing dirty, you old hag."

"How... how is this possible?"

Madam Zhuqu's pupils shrank sharply. She stared at the three with disbelief. "All of you were poisoned. You should still be locked obediently inside the cabin!"

"You do know poisons can be cured, right? You really look down on a high-tier alchemist."

Ling Feng let out a cold laugh. Under Madam Zhuqu's stunned gaze, he rose to his feet with a mocking smile.

"So it was then!"

Madam Zhuqu's eyelids twitched violently. "The medicinal pills you sold them."

"Exactly!"

The Bald Blade Emperor grinned wide. "Old hag, if it were not for brother Long Fei, I would have walked right into your trap!"

When Ling Feng sold them the medicinal pills, he had already added an antidotal component. He had used spiritual consciousness to quietly inform the three of Madam Zhuqu's hidden intentions.

Unfortunately, although Ling Feng suspected she was scheming, he never imagined she had made a deal with the ancient demonic creature imprisoned inside this cursed ship!

Madam Zhuqu glared at Ling Feng ruthlessly. She clenched her teeth, then exhaled slowly as if calming herself.

"Even if you haven't been poisoned, so what? It simply means a little more effort on my part!"

She gave a cold snort. "Master, I will deal with them shortly."

"Hmph! Useless, always failing at the crucial moment!"

The sealed demon let out a displeased growl. The grotesque ghost face dissolved into smoke and plunged into Madam Zhuqu's body. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

In that instant!

An evil, chilling aura surged outward. A thick stench of decay spread from her body and swept through the cabin.

Ling Feng leapt forward and landed beside Lan Yuhuang and the others. His expression grew grave as he witnessed the scene.

"Aah!"

Madam Zhuqu screamed in unbearable agony as her body underwent a horrifying transformation.

Her flesh split open. Her frame grew taller at an alarming rate until she reached nearly two zhang in height!

Red fur sprouted across her once thin and aging body. Her limbs jerked uncontrollably as her human arms and legs twisted into beast-like claws covered in thick hair.

"Roar!"

A bestial roar erupted from her throat. Madam Zhuqu was gone. What stood before them was a monster.

Her hands and feet had become those of a beast, and even her face twisted into a fanged, green-skinned monster!

Creak! Creak!

The monster that had been Madam Zhuqu raised an arm tipped with razor-sharp talons. With a casual swipe, those claws carved deep marks into the supposedly indestructible cabin wall.
