"You ugly beast! Do you take me for a fool?" Lou Qianzhong snapped, swinging a jet-black iron rod at Hei Sha's wings with all his might.

The force tore through the air, generating a piercing roar as sparks flared from the rod, stirring a wave of blistering heat.

"How dare you resist, you puny ant!"

Hei Sha bared its sharp fangs and flapped its wings. In an instant, it spun around and raised its demonic claws, directly seizing Lou Qianzhong's iron rod.

Lin Mu's eyes widened. Even a mid-tier Human Emperor could not withstand a strike like that. Yet the monster remained unscathed!

Hei Sha's grin widened. "Ignorant mortals. We have long transcended humans, evolved into the strongest beings between heaven and earth. Since you came to us, accept your fate! Heh heh heh!"

With a flick of its fingers, Lou Qianzhong's rod was sent flying, dragging him backward several steps. Hei Sha's blood-red pupils scanned him with disdain. "Old man, you look withered. I'll save you for later. No need to hurry. Heh heh heh!"

Lou Qianzhong's face burned crimson. He was a dominant figure in the Inner Sea, and yet at Heavenly Pool Island, he hadn't even entered before being held up by just two gatekeeping monsters.

Hei Sha screamed in pain. Ignoring the black blood coating its palm, it thrashed wildly at the flames, but no matter how hard it tried, the fire refused to die out.

A sharp cracking echoed as Xuan Sha tore Hei Sha's hand and flung it into the sea.

"Saved your life," Xuan Sha replied coldly. "Those flames are not ordinary. Hesitate and your entire arm would be ruined!"

Cold sweat poured down Hei Sha's forehead. It glared at the humans, furious. "Who dares attack me? I don't even know who struck!"

Ling Feng's eyes burned with killing intent. He hadn't planned to waste time on these two monsters, but the moment they moved against Tuoba Yan, all restraint vanished!
