The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife-Chapter 399: What if your husband finds out we secretly got a room behind his back?
The car came to a stop at the hotel entrance, where the doorman respectfully stepped forward to open the car door for the two of them. Xu Yisen got out of the car, retrieved the suitcase from the trunk, and walked into the hotel lobby, one hand pushing the suitcase and the other holding Munni’s hand.
Secretary Tang had already booked a room for them in advance. When they reached the front desk, the receptionist asked for their ID cards.
After Munni handed her ID card to the receptionist, she looked down, scrolling through her social media feed on her phone.
"Darling, I’m curious about how your husband would react if he found out we’re booking a room behind his back."
Suddenly, Yisen’s playful and suggestive voice sounded in her ear.
Munni paused slightly, looking up in confusion at Yisen, noting a hint of mischief within his brow.
Through the corner of her eye, Munni noticed the receptionist struggling to hide a trace of shock upon hearing Yisen’s words.
Understanding perfectly, she cooperatively held her phone in one hand and wrapped the other around Yisen’s arm, playfully saying, "He’ll find out eventually, no big deal, I’ll just make you an official one then."
"That’s actually a pretty good idea."
The receptionist’s expression was indescribable. With trembling hands, she returned Yisen’s credit card and their ID cards to them, then handed over the room card.
She couldn’t bring herself to say "Have a pleasant night," finally blurting out, "Welcome to your stay."
"Thank you." Munni replied with a bright smile to the receptionist, then turned away, still holding Yisen’s arm, saying, "I really hope my husband has frequent business trips. That way, I could see you more often."
"Me too."
Only when the two stepped into the elevator did their flirtatious banter finally end.
Munni let go of Yisen’s arm and, thinking back to the receptionist’s reaction, couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
"Munni, you’re really naughty."
Munni shrugged, "What can I say? I have a devious ex-husband."
"Blame me, huh?"
"Yep."
Yisen let out a light laugh and affectionately patted Munni’s head with her baseball cap on, "Alright, blame me."
When the elevator reached the fifteenth floor, the door slowly opened, and Yisen led Munni out by the hand to find the room.
It was only then that Munni abruptly realized, "We only booked one room?"
Yisen nodded, "Mm-hmm."
"...!"
"Secretary Tang said that when booking, there was only one suite left, so he only booked one room."
Yisen completely threw Secretary Tang under the bus, very carefree and disloyal.
Understanding him as well as Munni did, how could she not see his intentions?
She shot a suspicious sidelong glance at Yisen but ultimately entered the suite.
Yisen followed behind her, a subtle smile of victory unconsciously appearing on his lips... Easier to persuade than he imagined.
The two placed their luggage down, and Yisen glanced at his watch; it was already six o’clock.
"Munni, are you hungry? Want to have dinner together?"
"Mm, okay."
Munni took off the baseball cap on her head and walked into the bathroom, intending to tie up her long hair.
Yisen followed her into the bathroom, standing at the sink to wash his hands.
Through the large mirror in front of him, he saw Munni next to him gently combing her long, shiny black hair cascading down her back. Inspired, he spoke up, "Let me braid your hair."
"You can do that?" Munni looked at Yisen, surprised.
