Chapter 524: Chapter 524: Could you go back to sleep tonight?

He lifted the exhausted Munni out of the bathtub, took a towel to dry both their wet bodies, and carried her out of the bathroom back to the bed in the room.

After gently laying Munni on the bed, he lay directly beside her, reached out to turn off the lamp on the bedside table, then habitually reached out and cuddled Munni in his arms to sleep.

When Munni woke up from her slumber, it was almost noon. Last night, Yisen had nearly drained her, so much so that when she woke up, every part of her body ached terribly.

Yisen was no longer beside her. She turned slightly and saw Yisen sitting on a nearby armchair, drinking coffee and reading a financial newspaper.

A slight noise reached Yisen’s ear, and he instinctively looked up, unexpectedly meeting Munni’s somewhat resentful eyes.

Having a relationship can lead to an adrenaline rush, recovering faster... oh, nonsense! It clearly added more pain to her already injured body!

Yisen put down the coffee cup and financial newspaper in his hand, stood up, and walked gracefully to the hospital bed.

"Good morning, girlfriend." He bent down and placed a gentle kiss on Munni’s forehead.

Munni glared at him, displeased, "Could you please go home to sleep tonight?"

"That won’t do. If I go home, who will take care of you?"

"The nurse."

But Yisen shook his head, seemingly worried that Munni would continue this topic and really kick him out tonight. He promptly changed the subject.

"Get up and freshen up. The doctor will come to change the medicine on your foot in a while."

"Okay."

Munni nodded, attempting to get out of bed, but every movement seemed to exacerbate the pain in her body.

She instinctively furrowed her brows and shot another dissatisfied glance at Yisen.

Yisen naturally noticed the dissatisfaction and complaints in her eyes. He had to sympathetically help Munni sit up and asked her to wait for him for a moment.

He turned to the wardrobe, retrieving Munni’s underclothes and a set of loose loungewear.

Munni changed her clothes, after which Yisen carried her to the bathroom for her morning routine. It was only after breakfast that the doctor arrived to apply medicine to her sprained foot and wrapped it with a bandage.

After the doctor left, Munni thought of visiting Grandma Xu in the next ward. Yisen fetched a wheelchair, carefully placed her in it, and then pushed her to the adjoining ward.

Grandma Xu’s condition had improved significantly compared to yesterday.

She had heard about Munni’s mishap at the supermarket yesterday, and upon seeing Munni being pushed in by Yisen in a wheelchair, she couldn’t help but frown.

"Munni, come over and let Grandma take a look."

Grandma Xu, leaning against the head of the bed, waved to Munni as soon as she entered the ward.

Yisen pushed Munni to the bedside, and Grandma Xu held Munni’s hand compassionately, "My dear, you’ve suffered. Rest assured, the Xu Family will seek justice for you."

"Thank you, Grandma. How are you doing?"

"It’s nothing serious. The doctor said to stay in the hospital for observation for two more days, and then I should be able to discharge."

"That’s good. Please take good care of your health."

"Of course, I’m still waiting to hold my great-grandchild." After speaking, Grandma chuckled with delight.

Munni chatted with Grandma Xu in her ward for a while until Grandma started to look weary. Only then did Munni leave the ward to let Grandma rest properly.
