The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 585 - 626: The Eyes of the Teddy Bear
"You useless girl."
Samara wasn’t angry. She giggled and said, "Sister is too excellent, so as her younger sister, I don’t have to work so hard. Dear Sister, thank you for your hard work. Here, let me massage your legs for you!"
Samara walked over, sat on the soft carpet by Sienna Johnson’s feet, and genuinely started massaging her legs. Sienna pushed her. "Go away!"
"Oh dear, Sister despises me. Samara is so heartbroken."
"What’s wrong with you? Why are you behaving more and more erratically?"
Sienna looked at her sister and noticed that her personality had become much livelier. She hoped her sister would always stay happy.
Samara stuck out her tongue, leaned against Sienna, and didn’t get up.
"Connie, do you like red? I’ll paint your nails with red polish, okay?"
Sienna saw her daughter, Curly, sitting on the carpet painting Connie’s nails. Connie obviously didn’t like it but didn’t stop her.
"Curly, stop bullying Connie, do you hear me?"
"Mom, just eat your fruit and stop interfering with me all the time!" Curly glanced at her mother, clearly displeased.
Sienna looked at Adrian Desmond and said, "Adrian, your daughter despises me."
"I don’t despise you." Adrian fed Sienna a piece of mango, wishing she would finish the entire plate.
His goal was to fatten her up, and after she delivered the baby, he would devour her.
"Connie, you’re the daddy, I’m the mommy, and this is our child... Daddy Connie, what should we name our son?"
Curly treated Connie entirely as if he were an older sister, constantly painting his nails with various colors and making him play house with her. Luckily, Connie was good-natured; most other young boys would have refused long ago.
"Maybe we could call him Tom. When we have a daughter, we’ll call her Jerry."
Tom and Jerry were the names of the cat and mouse from the animated series "Tom and Jerry," which Curly loved to watch.
"Alright."
Curly held her toy bear and said to it, "Tom, this is Dad. Say ’Dad.’ If you call him Dad, Dad will buy you lollipops."
Leaning on Adrian’s shoulder, Sienna watched the little ones play and found it amusing.
"Your daughter is so silly. A toy bear, how can it talk?"
Just as Sienna finished speaking, the toy bear actually called out, "Dad..."
Sienna: ...
"Wow, Tom, you’re amazing! You’re only one and you can already say Dad!" Curly kissed the toy bear, her face beaming with pride.
"How can a toy bear talk?"
"Because that’s no ordinary toy bear; it’s an AI robot."
"You bought it for her?"
"It was a gift from Aaron."
Sienna’s gaze met the bear’s eyes. They were dark and deep, like black holes, reminding her of a camera lens. With that connection, upon closer inspection, the bear’s eyes did indeed resemble a camera lens. Sienna suddenly felt like she was being spied on.
"Curly, bring your toy bear over here to me," Sienna said.
Curly hugged the toy bear tightly. "What are you trying to do? Are you going to steal my son? Let me tell you, no one can separate Tom and me!"
Sienna: ...
"Daddy Connie, Tom is hungry. We need to give him milk now. Come on, let’s go to the kitchen and get some milk."
Curly took Connie’s uninjured hand and ran off.
Though she called it her son, Curly was dragging the bear by its leg as she ran. The bear’s head dangled, swinging back and forth with her movements, its dark eyes fixed on Sienna. If it really were her son, it would have suffered a concussion from all that shaking.
Sienna decided that when her son was born, she would definitely keep Curly away from him.
"I really want to spank your unreliable daughter."
"Don’t you dare!"
Housekeeper Adolph Desmond hurried in. He went to Adrian’s side and whispered, "Sixth Master, His Highness is here."
"Hmm." Adrian showed little reaction, seeming rather indifferent.
"His Highness is here incognito; the outside world doesn’t know he’s out. He came in through the back door."
"Take him directly to Paige."
Adolph Desmond didn’t expect Adrian to not greet His Highness personally. In Abyanabad, the royal family held a very high status. When the Prince arrived, Adrian was expected to greet him, but clearly, Adrian had no intention of doing so.
"Sixth Master, are you not going to meet His Highness?"
Adrian, feeding Sienna mangoes, appeared distracted. He said nonchalantly, "The person he wants to see isn’t me. Why should I go make myself a nuisance?"
"Sixth Master, Prince Dylan is also here."
"Oh?" Adrian’s eyes showed a flicker of interest.
They exchanged a look, both seeing a playful smirk in the other’s eyes. Adrian said to Sienna, "This Kiya seems to have come well-prepared this time."
"Indeed!"
Pauline Briggs and Samara were both curious about the Prince of Abyanabad. Samara asked, "What does the prince look like? Is he handsome?"
Sienna hadn’t seen the Prince of Abyanabad in person, but she had seen photos. From the photos, he just looked like a very ordinary man. Given Paige Desmond’s beauty, marrying Kiya would truly be marrying beneath her.
"Not as handsome as your brother-in-law."
"Can we not compare him to Brother-in-law? How many people can compare to his looks?" Samara remarked.
Pauline Briggs chimed in excitedly, "Adrian, could you ask him later if I can take a picture with him? If my friends find out I took a picture with the prince, they’ll be so jealous!"
"Mom, can you stop being so childish?" Sienna said.
This was the kind of thing only little girls would do. When would her mom ever grow up?
Adrian said, "Mom, Kiya is having marital problems right now; his family life is in turmoil. It’s better for us to keep our distance at a time like this. Taking a photo with Kiya wouldn’t be as good as taking one with me. I’m much better looking than him."
"But you’re not a prince!"
Adrian: ...
"Exactly, Mom. That prince is in a terrible mood. If you accidentally offend him, I’m not helping you," Sienna added.
Pauline Briggs pouted and said, "I know, I know. You people from Abyanabad, how can relations between family be so distant? He’s family, yet he comes here and doesn’t even visit. It’s enough that you alone married an Abyanabad man; my precious granddaughter certainly isn’t marrying a man from Abyanabad in the future!"
Sienna agreed with Pauline Briggs. "Mhmm, I completely agree with you, Mom. Men from our Orienta are way better."
"What’s not good about me?" Adrian asked, unconvinced.
