Chapter 634: Chapter 675: Not Letting Her Go Back

"But I can’t stay in Abyanabad forever, right? I still have a ton of things at my company waiting for me to handle. Adrian, let me tell you, the Eastminster Group is the Johnson Family’s legacy. I will never let it collapse under my watch. I want to pass it down from generation to generation."

Sienna Johnson looked at the man smiling with ulterior motives. He’s definitely scheming something, she thought.

"Don’t worry, I won’t let your Eastminster Group go bankrupt."

"Pfft! You jinx! Can’t you say something nice for a change?"

"Fine, your Eastminster Group will definitely become the world’s most influential company, and you will be the richest person in the world."

"That’s my goal!" Sienna Johnson laughed.

Adrian tried to get Sienna up, but she flopped around as if boneless, unwilling to move. She had become incredibly lazy these past few days.

"What are you doing?"

"You want to buy a bird’s nest processing factory, right? Let’s go. I just contacted one for you, and Walter Klein has already checked it out. He said it’s quite good. We’ll take the money, and if it’s suitable, we’ll buy it today," Adrian said magnanimously.

"A bird’s nest processing factory?"

"Yes, didn’t you originally want to build one?"

Sienna hesitated. When I first saw the bird’s nests on Swallow Island, I was truly tempted. But after that incident with Night Owl, I’m still a bit scared. This place is different from Sileria City; it’s not somewhere I can just play around.

"I don’t understand the business rules here. I think I should just forget about it..."

Since she came to Abyanabad, Adrian had no intention of letting her return, so her giving up was out of the question. Besides, she had been lost in thought a lot recently, and Adrian figured he should find something for her to do.

"Just go and see. A friend helped find it. It’s not good to suddenly say no."

"Sixth Master, when did you become so considerate? Actually thinking about other people’s feelings now?" This isn’t like Adrian at all, she thought.

"Weren’t you the one who told me to be more modest with people, Mrs. Desmond? Let’s go. It’s not good to stand people up."

"Mrs. Desmond, if you can’t walk, I’ll carry you." Adrian bent down as if to pick Sienna up, but she quickly stopped him. "No, no..."

"Do you want to change your clothes? Dressed like this, others might think you’re my daughter."

"Why don’t you say I’m your mother?"

"My mother is not as young as you."

Persuaded by Adrian, Sienna went to the dressing room to change.

Sienna’s wardrobe was filled to bursting. Adrian had specially hired a designer to select a multitude of clothes for her, based on her figure and temperament.

Most of the clothes inside still had their tags on. Sienna felt a bit overwhelmed. With so many clothes, when will I ever wear them all? My figure has changed since I got pregnant. If it doesn’t go back to normal after the baby, won’t all these clothes be a waste?

In the northeast corner of the wardrobe were traditional Amwanese garments. Sienna’s gaze fell upon a Nyonya Dress.

Remembering Adrian had said their client today was Amwanese, Sienna decided to dress appropriately for the culture. She chose a traditional Amwanese outfit—the Nyonya Dress.

The ensemble featured a Turkish green top with exquisite embroidered lace, paired with a light pink Batik Sarong skirt. The cut was flattering, perfectly accentuating the female form and making the wearer appear even more charming and graceful.

On her feet, she wore a pair of beaded shoes. Crafting such a pair often required thousands of beads and two to three months of meticulous work. Sienna adored these shoes.

Her long hair was swept up high. Sienna wasn’t fond of jewelry, so she casually plucked three of Abyanabad’s national flowers—peach-pink Rhododendrons—and tucked them into her thick, dark hair.

Sienna stood before the full-length mirror, examining her reflection. Apart from my slightly larger belly, everything is perfect, she thought with satisfaction.

In the hallway, Walter Klein was informing Adrian about the intruder in Curly’s room the previous night. Upon hearing this, Adrian was shocked, his heart leaping into his throat.

"Is Curly alright?" Adrian asked urgently.

"Miss is alright."

Hearing that Curly was unharmed, Adrian finally let out a breath of relief.

His heart still racing from the shock, Adrian asked with lingering fear, "Night Owl didn’t do anything to Curly, did he?"

After hearing the full account from the bodyguard, Walter Klein found it incredibly bizarre. "Nothing, really. They just ate candy together. Apparently... Night Owl even fought with Miss over the candy..."

How childish, Walter Klein thought, his expression a mixture of disbelief and amusement.

"The bodyguard saw that the man wasn’t harming Miss, so he didn’t intervene immediately."

"Sixth Master, the bodyguard said the man was rather strange. Could he be an imposter? What’s his agenda? Why is he trying to get close to Miss?"

"Adrian, do I look good in this dress?"

Sienna pushed open the latticed door and walked out slowly, appearing before Adrian like the most beautiful flower coming into bloom.

Sienna in her Nyonya Dress was a stunning sight, even taking Walter Klein’s breath away for a moment. He quickly lowered his head, not daring to stare.

"Why aren’t you saying anything? Does it not look good? Maybe I should change," Sienna said, a little self-consciously.

The Nyonya Dress demanded a slender waist and a good figure. Sienna, being pregnant, felt a little insecure. I hope I don’t look like I’m trying too hard and failing, she worried.

"Beautiful!"

Their eyes met, a silent exchange of affection passing between them. Sienna blushed. "I’m pregnant; how can I be beautiful? You’re just trying to make me feel good."

"You really are. So beautiful that I almost don’t want to let anyone else see you."

Adrian gently pinched her chin, gazing at her face, radiant in the sunlight. Though he saw it every day, her beauty still took his breath away in that moment.

"Really beautiful?"

"Beautiful."

Sienna touched her belly. "You said the client is Amwanese, so I picked this outfit..." She gave him a sly smile. "Who knows, maybe seeing me in their national dress will please him, and he’ll give me a discount on the bird’s nest processing factory."

"Mrs. Desmond, you’ve really pulled out all the stops. Are you planning to use a honey trap for the bird’s nest factory?" Adrian teased.

"If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll get angry!"

"Let’s go, Mrs. Desmond."

"Mr. Desmond, please!"

Walter Klein trailed behind, watching the couple walk hand-in-hand, their eyes locked in a loving gaze, completely oblivious to anyone else. They’re practically torturing us single people, he lamented internally, tears welling up in his heart.

"What are you dawdling for?" Adrian suddenly turned back and snapped at Walter Klein.

Walter Klein quickly caught up. "Sixth Master, your orders?"

"You don’t need to follow us. Go meet Boss Hector first and tell him we’ll be there shortly."

"Yes."

Walter Klein glanced at Sienna and quickly lowered his head.

This Madam is too perceptive, Walter Klein thought. I’m really afraid she’ll see through this charade. Boss Hector? He’s just an actor Sixth Master hired. To make his wife happy, Sixth Master has truly gone to extraordinary lengths. He’s already the actual owner of that bird’s nest processing factory.
