Chapter 636: Chapter 677: Inviting a Harmful Friend

"It’s not my place to say, Sixth Master, but you spoil women too much. That’s why they become so arrogant. Women should stay at home, do housework, and take care of the children. Why should any woman be involved in business?"

As an old-fashioned man, Keith Hector couldn’t accept women who put themselves in the public eye.

"Our Madam is no ordinary woman."

Walter Klein wondered what people would think if they knew their Sixth Master hadn’t actually married Sienna Johnson. What if they found out Sienna was the one who had, in a sense, married *him*?

Keith Hector glanced at the car behind them and gossiped, "I heard Madam is very fierce. She doesn’t allow Sixth Master to marry other wives, does she? Sixth Master is almost thirty and only has one wife. Is there really only one woman in his household?"

Walter Klein pressed his forehead, a headache blooming as he looked at this unreliable clown. He shouldn’t have asked him to act in the first place.

"Sixth Master has only Madam as his wife, and she will be his only wife in the future. You absolutely must not spread rumors about this. Madam gets very jealous."

To protect their Sixth Master’s image, Walter was too embarrassed to admit the truth: Madam had kicked Sixth Master out of their bedroom, and he’d been sleeping in the guest room for days.

Their formidable Sixth Master was utterly dominated by his wife at home.

"Sixth Master can’t even handle one woman?"

Walter Klein corrected him, "It’s not that Sixth Master can’t handle a woman. It’s love—L-O-V-E—something a person like you will never understand."

"’Love? I get it! Isn’t it just about wanting to sleep with a particular woman? But to give up sleeping with all other women just for one? That price is too high!’"

Walter Klein gave Keith Hector a deep look. Keith Hector, you don’t understand love!

...

The bird’s nest processing factory wasn’t far. Sienna had visited several such factories before, so she was reasonably familiar with their operations.

The factory building was clean and tidy, the machinery looked new, and transportation access was convenient. Being close to the sea, the finished bird’s nest products could easily be shipped to Sileria City by sea or land.

Furthermore, if they bought the factory, the current workers could stay on, saving them the trouble of hiring new staff.

"Madam, what do you think? The price is negotiable."

After Walter’s subtle reminder, Keith Hector’s attitude towards Sienna changed instantly. He became so enthusiastic that Sienna half-wondered if this was Keith Hector’s twin brother.

"How much are you asking for it?"

"’Seventy-five thousand!’" Keith Hector stated firmly.

Sienna looked at Adrian Desmond, seeking his opinion. She wasn’t very familiar with the market in Abyanabad and didn’t know if seventy-five thousand for this factory was high or low.

But for this price in Sileria City, it would definitely be a steal for her.

"’It’s acceptable,’" Adrian said.

"Then let’s sign the contract today!" Keith Hector urged, clearly impatient.

If this deal went through, Keith Hector would receive a 5% commission, so he was understandably anxious. If this woman decided not to buy, the money he was counting on would vanish.

Were things progressing too smoothly? Keith Hector seemed overly eager to sell. Sienna glanced at Adrian. He made the decision for her, and they agreed to buy the bird’s nest processing factory on the spot.

Finally, they also toured the swiftlet houses, and with that, the deal to purchase the factory was effectively sealed.

Sienna used money from her private account. Seventy-five thousand wasn’t a large sum for her, and she could easily afford it. Adrian, however, looked uncomfortable. In Abyanabad, it wasn’t customary for a woman to pay when a man was present.

This woman, however, always seemed to enjoy challenging him in this regard.

Once the contract was signed, Walter Klein was tasked with handling the remaining procedures. Since Sienna wasn’t familiar with Abyanabad, she entrusted all the follow-up work to him.

Sienna had an impetuous nature. Now that the bird’s nest processing factory was theirs, she naturally wanted to visit the island and see her swiftlet houses.

When Sienna mentioned wanting to go to the island, Adrian was secretly overjoyed. His earlier frustration about Sienna insisting on paying for the factory vanished.

Adrian had actually spent 450 thousand to acquire the bird’s nest processing factory, whereas Sienna had only paid 75 thousand for it. Thinking about it this way, he felt a little better. In a sense, the factory was indeed a gift from him to Sienna.

"’Let’s head back tomorrow,’ Adrian suggested. ’You’ve walked a lot today. You should go back and get a good night’s rest. Rest well.’"

"’Alright,’ Sienna agreed, genuinely feeling quite tired."

...

On the way back to Desmond Manor, Adrian received a phone call. A friend was inviting him to a dinner party and insisted he attend. If he refused, they threatened to tell Sienna all about his past scandals.

The voice on the other end was so loud that Sienna overheard everything. The look she gave Adrian instantly turned suspicious.

"’Don’t listen to their nonsense! I don’t have any scandals,’ Adrian quickly explained. He dreaded to think what would happen if this jealous woman misunderstood."

Sienna wasn’t in the guest room, and he definitely didn’t want to keep sleeping there alone. He only ever slept soundly when he was holding her.

"’Sister-in-law, all men are scoundrels at heart. And with a face like Adrian’s, do you really believe he wasn’t a player before?’" Dan Taylor fearlessly chimed in from the other end.

Sienna glanced at Adrian, took the phone from his hand, and said with a smile, "Alright, we’ll be right over."

"’Sister-in-law, I eagerly await your grand arrival!’" Dan Taylor said gleefully.

"’You look exhausted. Shouldn’t we just go back and rest? Don’t you need to go to the island tomorrow?’" Adrian tried to dissuade her. He really didn’t want to go; who knew what those loose-lipped friends of his might say.

Seeing Adrian’s reluctance, Sienna became even more determined. "We’ll see you shortly," she said into the phone.

"’See you soon! And when you get here, Sister-in-law, perhaps you can give me a check-up and see if I’m fully recovered. I haven’t been with any of my wives for a month. If I don’t get back to them soon, they’re bound to start looking elsewhere!’"

Sienna’s expression turned grim. "I think you’d be better off divorcing a few of your wives."

"’But Sister-in-law, every single one of them is precious to me! My first wife is gentle, my second is alluring, my sixth is a fiery little chili pepper—so full of spice! My tenth wife is fantastic in bed, leaves me breathless. My thirteenth is the tightest down there, and it feels incredible when she clenches. My eighteenth is so innocent and vivacious... I can’t bear to part with any of them!’"

Are we really that close? Why is he telling me such intimate details about his sex life? I don’t want to hear this at all!

"’Dan Taylor, if you continue like this, no amount of tonic will save you. If you don’t learn some self-control, you’ll eventually only be able to look at your wives. Your first, second, third, and eighteenth wives—no matter how gentle, alluring, or vivacious they are—will be completely off-limits to you...’"

"’Sister-in-law, it’s not that serious, is it?’"

"’Reconsider your ways, sir!’" Sienna said, then hung up the phone.

"’You were just trying to scare him, weren’t you?’" Adrian asked. "’Is it really that serious?’"

"’He has a kidney deficiency,’ Sienna stated. ’And it’s extremely severe.’"
