The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 658: Acting Like a Rascal
Everything happened too suddenly for Summer Monroe to grab something to steady herself.
Just as Summer thought she was about to fall flat on her face, a large hand caught her wrist in a flash and pulled her to the side.
In the next moment, she found herself flung into a warm embrace that smelled wonderfully of pine.
Damian Knight was also startled by Summer’s sudden trip, but his hand reacted faster than his mind, pulling Summer close, his arms then opening to catch her smoothly.
Due to the momentum, the chair creaked and slid back about a centimeter.
His back hit the edge of the table, and he couldn’t help but let out a muffled "uh" sound.
Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open, and a woman stepped in, carrying a bag of fruit.
She saw the woman in the man’s arms, and the man let out a sound. Her mind went blank, and she stood there in shock.
Nowadays, are young people so open that they do "that thing" right by the dining table?
Damian was quick to respond, holding onto Summer while asking, "Is there something you need?"
The woman snapped back to her senses, awkwardly placing the bag of fruit on the floor and saying with a dry laugh, "I’m from downstairs. I saw you moving in and came to say hello. Didn’t expect to come at such a bad time... Please, carry on, carry on. I didn’t see anything!"
After saying this, the woman quickly turned and left, kindly closing the door with a bang.
Summer realized the misunderstanding and her small face instantly flushed red, right down to her neck. She tried to escape from Damian’s embrace.
However, Damian’s hands were firmly around her waist with no intention of letting go, and he smiled mildly, saying, "The lady downstairs seems to have misunderstood us."
Of course, she knew!
"Why didn’t you close the door when you came in? Let go of me so we can talk."
Damian acted as if he hadn’t heard, keeping his arms around Summer’s slim waist, feeling her through the fabric.
The girl’s body was soft and taut, which made one unwilling to let go.
Ignoring Summer’s embarrassment and shyness, he bent down to whisper in her ear, "Actually, it’s not really a misunderstanding. We are husband and wife."
While Damian spoke, his chest vibrated, and his breath was all over her face.
Summer’s mind was about to explode, her entire face was redder than tonight’s sunset.
No matter that Damian wouldn’t let go, she forced her way out of his arms, finally escaping after much effort.
She retreated a few steps until she felt she was at a safe distance, her beautiful eyes glaring at Damian in shame and anger, "Why didn’t you let go? Are you being a rogue?!"
"Rogue?" Damian tilted his head slightly, the corner of his mouth curving mischievously, "I’m no rogue."
He’s embracing his own wife.
Seeing the smile on Damian’s face made Summer even more uncomfortable, the warmth of his hands around her waist lingered, making her feel as if her whole body was being tickled.
Summer decided to ignore him and didn’t look at him, turning to walk into the kitchen.
When she returned, she was only holding a pair of chopsticks.
Damian asked with an innocent expression, "What about mine?"
"Get it yourself!" Summer didn’t look at him, she just sat down and started eating.
Damian couldn’t help but reach out and adjust her forehead as he saw Summer almost bury her head in the bowl.
Summer felt Damian’s hand as if it was burning, and she quickly leaned back, angrily glaring at him.
Damian spread his hands, looking even more innocent.
"I was just afraid your hair would get in your rice."
