Silence fell inside the building as everyone rose from their spot, their breath heavy from the excitement. With how confident Riku was in this attack, everyone was ready to cheer and celebrate when the ball was in. However, instead of the powerful spike they were expecting, what they got was a completely different thing here.

Thud!

All the people blinked in confusion as they saw Riku fail to hit the ball perfectly. Even Oyama High players were also dumbfounded at that. Unfortunately for them, the ball still managed to get through the net, and since it was a failed hit, the ball just rolled down to the front side where only their blockers were there, yet not a single one managed to reach the ball.

"Oh! What the hell is that?!"

"Riku, are you fucking serious?! Don't give me a heart attack like that!"

"Man, how dare you toy with my feelings like that!"

"Be more serious, Bastard!"

Riku himself just scratched the back of his neck sheepishly at the crowd's reaction before giving his senpai stinky eyes. "Jimmy, that pass is two centimeters too high! Who the hell are you trying to pass, Rano? Even he couldn't jump that high to reach the ball, you know?!"

"Ah, sorry, sorry, that is my bad." Ogawa laughed awkwardly as he was getting scolded by his kouhai. "This is the first time I set up a quick attack for you! You are running too fast, it is so difficult to match the timing!" He made sure Riku received his complaint.

Still, when he saw the seat on his palm, Ogawa couldn't help but feel awe for his two kouhai. This was the first time he set up a blitz attack like this, and the amount of detail he suddenly had to see was not something he had ever expected before. He had to make sure that the blitz attack was successful by checking the target's running route, scanning through the other side of the court to see the opponent's movement, and observing his other teammates too to see who would be the best to receive the ball if it was impossible for Riku to execute it, and he had to think about all of that in a split of second.

His respect toward Yuki and Riku rose astronomically as he realized how hard the two kouhai worked to perfect this combination attack.

"Well, fine! I will forgive you! But the next time, make sure the ball is coming at the right height and the right spot, okay? Not too far and not too close!"

"Hai, hai!"

While they both chatted casually as if they didn't just give everyone a heart attack, most of the Tsunemori players were still in a daze after the last play. However, this state only lasted for a few more seconds before Koji jumped straight away to his friend. "Goddamnit, Jimmy! You have never said anything about a blitz attack like that!"

"Hey, that is Riku's impulsive idea! Blame him for that, and get out of me! You are heavy, Bastard!" Ogawa complained while dodging his friend.

"Oh, don't be like that! Can you hear everyone singing praises for you?" Asahi smiled mischievously.

That was when Ogawa finally realized that he was basked with praises under the spotlight as all the supporters on the stand rose and gave him a round of standing ovations.

"Good God, this is what I am paying for!"

"Good job, Jimmy! Give us another one!"

"Make sure you do it correctly next time, okay?"

"Keep it up!"

Amagi who was on the stand just shook his head in amusement when he saw this scene. The last attack was something he didn't see coming, but in hindsight, he could understand where Riku was coming from. "Not bad, Agostini… Not bad, indeed…" He muttered.

The other Matsuyama Kita players who overheard his murmur raised one of their eyebrows slightly before Tondo, the team's captain asked, "Care to share with the class, Amagi?"

"What is there to share?" Amagi shrugged helplessly. "It is clear that the last play is a spontaneous attack that isn't planned by that player with the number 11, yet he still could achieve an almost perfect pass in one go. This is Agostini's declaration of war toward all of their future opponents who initially came here to watch Yuki play, that they are not just a one-man team and even without Yuki, they could still survive."

Of course, Riku had never thought that far before. He just wanted to do this quick attack with Ogawa since this was a rare chance for them to do that, and his senpai didn't disappoint him. Sure, the pass wasn't perfect, but he had never expected that it would be successful in one go. The fact that the ball still came in his direction was enough for him, and he knew his senpai would be able to do it better the next time.

Sure enough, Riku didn't have to wait for too long to see the improvement from the last play. After the unexpected attack earlier, now all the eyes were on Ogawa and him, watching them both carefully. When the ball once again came in his direction and Riku gave up control toward his senpai, all of the Oyama High players reacted.

"Hey, don't let him spike so easily!"

"Bastard! He underestimates us! Let's jump together, one! Two! Now!"

As four players were fighting in the air, that was when enlightenment suddenly hit Ogawa's head. Even though he knew Riku would have a way to get through the opponent's blockers, the situation was not in his favor as the blonde boy was getting stared at by three of the opponent's players. On another hand, though, since three players devoted their attention to the blonde boy, there was so much room open for him to take advantage of that Ogawa himself was confused about what to do right now.

'So, this is what he always sees as a setter, huh? No wonder Riku could get addicted to it. Having everything under my control sure is an amazing feeling.'

Without even batting his eyes, Ogawa finally sent the ball toward Riku's direction, yet with a height higher than what the blonde boy could reach. After all, the final target was not him, but Hirano who was lurking from the shadow.

"Shit! He fools us!"

BAM!

Without anyone guarding him, Hirano didn't need to do something excessive, just hit the ball straight to Oyama's defensive line, and since the opponent was too focused on Ogawa and Riku, they reacting too late, which resulted in the ball fell on the ground and adding one more point for Tsunemori High.
