The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 333: The Grey Zone

"You still have that unhappy look on your face, darling," Kaiden whispered in Emily’s ear as he lightly brushed his lips against the tip of her left ear before he swiftly pulled his face away to watch her expression as his action caused a beautiful and very alluring shiver to run down her spine.

A beautiful smile bloomed on his lips as he noticed the result of his flirtatious teasing that had been going on ever since they arrived at the newly opened casino in the Basement Town of the city - a newly formed grey area of the city where supernaturals spent there time without any concern about the laws and regulations of the outside world. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Though neither the Sullivans nor Alessandros were doing business in this grey zone, both families were still listed as the S-level VIPs because of their really close connections with the owner of this new zone, the Evans.

"What do you think you are doing?" Emily asked as she snaked both her hands around his shoulders and locked them behind his neck all the while as they both continued to sway their bodies along with the slow music that had recently started playing after the rock party music that had been going on for hours.

Kaiden tightened his hold around her waist as he pulled her against his body before he whispered in response to her question in the most sweet and innocent way possible, "What are you talking about, love? All that I’m doing is dancing with my girlfriend."

If there would be a contest of playing innocent and naive after committing the worst level of crime, Kaiden could undoubtedly win the trophy without missing a second.

Emily stared at the man with suspicion filling her eyes as she allowed him to carry her body with the music in whatever way he wanted. "As long as it will stay like that, only dancing." She was more eager to say it out loud to tease him and the way his eyes squinted at her words, it seemed like her trick worked just perfectly.

"You are saying like you don’t even want it." He whispered as he suddenly twirled her around before pulling her back into his arms. The look in his cerulean eyes was so intense that she could tell he was more than being just flirty. It was almost his wolf taking over to remind her that they weren’t just boyfriend and girlfriend but beyond that, they were soulmates.

But if that was supposed to make Emily feel even the slightest bit nervous or second guess her words or actions, then it was far from what she was actually feeling because the more intense he became, the more excited she got about riling him up more to see how far he was going to take things before placing a full stop on them.

It was definitely a dangerous game that she had started playing but stopping or even taking a step back was not even on her list now. She would probably not agree but it was almost as if a deep part of her wanted him to finally let go off all the shackles that had been keeping him in control for so long.

So, she placed a beautiful smile on her lips as she inched even more close to him, pressing her body against his before she whispered with her breath fanning his chin. "I’m sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. Am I missing out on something?" She used his trick back on him.

The playful smile returned to Kaiden’s lips as he slightly lowered his head, almost causing their lips to brush against each other’s which almost made butterflies flutter like crazy in her tummy. "If that’s the case, then let me help you."

Before Emily’s mind could have processed his words, she was already taken by surprise as he crashed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss while a sizzling energy took over her body that had little to do with the kiss and more with a magical spell.

When the spell ended and the magic dispersed in the air, she found her back pressed against a cold wall but she had no time to check what was actually going on as her mind, heart, and soul, all were focused on the kiss that made her knees weak that she had to clutch his shoulders tightly to keep herself from falling.

His lips moved against hers in perfect sync while his tongue had already found its way through her parted lips and into her mouth where it started playing tango with her tongue. The kiss was not only long, deep, and passionate but it was also sweet, full of love and care.

They finally pulled away from the kiss when both of them were almost out of breaths but while Emily decided to use the moment to catch some much needed oxygen as her lungs protested, Kaiden was already trailing his mouth down her chin to her throat where his tongue and teeth joined the play.

"Kaiden..."

She finally called out his name when she felt his teeth grazing the skin of her throat over her pulsing vein and while she knew that he wasn’t a vampire and won’t be drinking her blood, it was also true that he was a werewolf who very much wanted to mark his mate.

"Ssh, it’s alright, Angel." Kaiden whispered in assurance as he planted several soft kisses all over her throat. "I won’t mark you unless you will ask me to do it. I can wait, Angel, and I mean it. I will wait for eternity just for your consent."

The promise was way more serious and genuine than anyone would have expected. Emily could almost feel every word of his promise being engraved in his wolf’s soul and an undesirable feeling took over her.

Pulling away her face to look directly into her mate’s beautiful cerulean eyes, she whispered, "I want you, Kaiden."
