The Broken Halo-Chapter 201: A Kick!
The moment the fists of Simon and Akaza collided, Simon’s expression drastically changed as he felt the enormous strength that Akaza possessed.
His bones nearly broke, and his muscles were nearly torn apart.
The main reason why his arm was in one piece was because of the Chaos Wraps.
The defensive capabilities of the Chaos Wraps were strange and very confusing to explain, but Simon had a feeling that it would be very difficult for him to shatter his bones and arm to a state where his arm would become useless, even if he threw a punch at a mountain.
’Tsk. This is why I said that Martial Demons are very annoying. They’re physical capabilities are very high, but what makes it worse is how effective they are in using their body.’
’They know to utilize nearly every part of their external and internal body, and the power they can release from a punch is always a lot more powerful than what they’re meant to be capable of.’
Even though Simon had the physical capabilities of a Supreme Archfiend, his physical strength was in comparison to Supreme Archfiends with Noble Bloodlines.
Akaza had a royal bloodline, and his race was a race that focused a lot on the physical body.
Simon took a glance at his right arm after their punch, then he saw Akaza’s left arm move.
He was about to release another punch, and Simon knew that he could not take it head on.
’I have to dodge it.’
Without hesitation, Simon jumped to the side and dodged Akaza’s punch, causing Akaza to frown in annoyance and anger.
Akaza swiftly turned his legs and appeared before Simon with his right fist nearly landing a upper cut on Simon’s head.
However, Simon’s reflexes were truly absurd and his speed was also not slower than Akaza’s.
He moved his head back, barely dodging the upper cut by an inch, then he felt and heard a disturbance in the wind from his left hand side, and his eyes flashed with a cold and calculating glint.
’A punch to the left side of my waist.’
Simon’s left hand moved, and he slapped Akaza’s left wrist away with his hand coated in demonic energy.
This surprised Akaza, but Simon was not done.
He raised his right knee, and he struck Akaza in the chin.
Akaza’s head snapped back, but Simon clicked his tongue when he saw Akaza’s murky white demonic energy around his chin.
Simon did not attack any further, and he quickly distanced himself away from Akaza.
A few moments later, a drop of sweat fell from Simon’s chin beneath his mask as he attempted to regulate his breath and increase Devour’s rate of demonic energy absorption.
Meanwhile, Akaza slowly lowered his head, and a tinge of anger, disappointment, and annoyance could be seen in his eyes.
"Why are you acting like a coward? Why didn’t you continue attacking me? Why are you running away?"
Simon scoffed, then he clenched and unclenched his right hand a few times.
"Your physical strength is way higher than mine. We clashed earlier while covering our fists with our demonic energy, but I was at the losing end. I would be a fool to continue this battle by facing you head on with our fists."
Akaza frowned, and a tinge of disgust could he seen in his eyes.
"But your physical strength is on par with a Supreme Archfiend even though you’re a Minor Fiend. I don’t know how you were able to gain such strength, but I’m sure it came with its own dangers and perils. "
"If you fought me like a true warrior, then you’d surely improve and get stronger too. That is how demons of old used to get stronger before the appearance of hell stones."
Simon calmly shook his head. "You may be right, but that’s also a quick way to die. Since I have another choice, I’ll take it. Even if it’s a cowardly method."
Akaza sighed in disappointment.
"You disappoint me."
Simon’s lips curled up slightly behind his mask.
"I’ll say those words back at you when you’re under my foot."
Akaza could not help but smile despite his disappointment. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Even though you’re a coward, I’ll admit that you sure have a way with words."
Simon chuckled softly, then he took a stance.
"Enough talking. Come. I have plans for you and the Iron Fangs."
Akaza was stunned, then he laughed loudly.
"I see! I see! So that was your main aim all along. Now I know the main reason why you didn’t personally kill my subordinates."
Simon gave no verbal response. The only response he gave were his fingers giving a "come here" gesture.
Akaza growled.
"As you-"
Bang!
"Wish!"
Akaza suddenly appeared right in front of Simon once again at an extremely fast speed, but Simon was calm and could follow his movement.
Although Akaza was physically stronger and tougher than him, Simon was faster than him.
Though not by a wide margin, but he was still faster than him.
Akaza came flying down with his fist aiming for Simon’s head.
Simon took three quick steps to the back, dodging the punch.
Bang!
The ground shattered, causing a small dust cloud to appear around Akaza.
Simon heard the howling of the wind, and he calmly ducked his head, dodging a kick aimed at his head.
Another kick was about to hit him from below, but his Simon quickly grabbed Akaza’s leg that he dodged, then he lightly pushed Akaza to the back, completely throwing him off balance.
"What?"
Akaza stumbled and he could not regain his balance immediately.
This time around, Simon did not waste the opportunity.
He appeared before Akaza and kicked the confused Akaza in the nuts with his foot enhanced with demonic energy.
Crack!
The sound of something breaking echoed in the ruined liquor shop, and the expressions of everybody who heard that drastically changed.
Too wicked.
Too cruel.
This was the thought every single one of them had, but would Simon care about this?
Definitely not.
In the next moment, Akaza’s scream of immense pain tore through the air.
