Chapter 375: Qixi Festival (11)
The sheer resemblances between the one in her memory was spot on.
She said in her mind unaware the folding screen cannot stop someone’s scorching gaze.
Chunhua looked around like a sneaky thief and coughed while hiding the growing tinge of embarrassment on her cheeks, "Anyway, he doesn’t know about the dream so it should be alright..."
Additionally, she can’t deny that he really looks good on it!
She slowly stood up and walked towards the exit and handed the attire to Haoran’s whose expression was unreadable, "I’m done! I have good taste right?" She cheekily asked.
Haoran took the robe and lapels from her hands and slowly curled his lips at the oblivious girl’s daring choice. "Indeed."
---
Since Chunhua didn’t know much about make-up, she went to ask some help and found a kind sister working in the studio to guide her. Surprisingly, her first name was Feng Xiang’er.
It is indeed the Xiang’er she met in the future.
Chunhua was pleasantly amazed at the coincidence. The young Xiang’er was very bubbly, bright, and enthusiastic.
"Don’t you know in ancient times, the only time commoners with no status can wear 9th rank official robes is when they get married?" Feng Xiang’er eagerly said.
"I didn’t know that." Chunhua was fascinated at the girl’s words. Tianmeng Continent didn’t have that rule. It was mostly because the silk and brocades cannot be afford by families with low incomes and not because of the rules.
Subsequently because of the demonic beasts, none of the fancy clothes matter amongst the masses and only survival.
"Additionally, not all wedding dresses are festive red. Back in the days either the dresses of bride or groom turquoise and lime green to signify fortune and beauty. Some even wore black, quoting it was elegant." Xiang’er was encouraged by the girl’s show of interest and continued to talk while her hand paint the plum blossom mark on the girl’s forehead.
"Sister, your skin is so smooth, white and without pores like a white jade. I am so envious." Xiang’er pouted.
"Your skin is beautiful too like a boiled peeled egg." Chunhua returned the compliment. Honestly, it’s all the same in her eyes.
Xiang’er giggled in a happy mood, placed down the thin paint brush and inserted the golden phoenix buyao on the side of Chunhua’s hair bun, "You’re all set. I didn’t put too much powder because you don’t need it and your lips and cheeks had natural tint. Sister, I’m certain whoever is your partner will be mesmerized by your beauty and marry you!"
Xiang’er squealed.
Chunhua was taken aback by that squeal, "You’re too young to talk about marriage."
"What are you saying? We are about the same age." Xiang’er blinked.
Chunhua was choked. She had indeed no right to tell her. "Just, study first and learn some self-defense and stay away from devious people especially the one name Huo Yan." She added, knowing the future.
Xiang’er laughed, "Sister, you’re so weird and I don’t know anyone name Huo Yan." She stopped laughing when suddenly remembered something.
"Wait, I forgot the dress and the shoes. I’ll be back in a minute. Auntie should finish ironing it."
Chunhua saw the Xiang’er went out and came back bringing what Haoran choose.
"Sister, quickly wear this. The Auntie said to hasten." Xiang’er handed over the dress to her.
When Chunhua saw the design of the brocade dress, she stared blankly.
Who can tell her why the dress was extremely familiar?
(@_@;)
Isn’t that the one in her dream?
Darn, it is really the same one!
Chunhua was speechless.
----
The back garden of the Grand West Lake Pagoda was filled with small beautifully decorated lakeside pavilions and kiosk where customers can lounge around, eat or take a rest and feed the koi.
The photo booth had pay to reserve the place, had been operating since nine in the morning and will close after Chunhua and Haoran take their shot, to enjoy the night activities of the Qixi Festival.
Therefore, the number of people in the garden were very few, mostly the photographer and staffs cleaning up the equipment and gathering their things.
Because it was already at night, the lamps in the form of a lanterns in the garden were lit creating a beautiful streak of mirage in the waters and providing a much magical scenery, making the sight in one of the pavilions more breathtaking.
The staffs and the old photographer couldn’t help but stare at the youth standing on the edge of the small lotus pavilion and admiring the boats.
"Where did this brother came from? If I hadn’t known any better. I thought I was looking at a painting!"
"That face and figure! If he was cast into a historical drama, even his acting is awful, I would still watch until last episode!"
"It’s a crime to look so handsome like that. I bet even if he’s wearing rags, he’d still look like an imperial prince. If only his eyes were not scarily cold, I would have asked for a picture."
The female staffs agreed and sighed. Too bad, they could only look but not eat!
"You’re too noisy. Help me set up the lightning and equipment, so we’d finish this shoot fast." The Photographer interrupted the girls’ talk albeit he was also quite excited about this.
With the help of the male staff, Haoran changed into the attire Chunhua chose and his hair was made according to han-style where the hair is gathered into a high bun and fixed with white jade crown and secured by a white pin, diminishing his juvenile looks, turning the angle of his face sharper, more masculine and mature.
Haoran’s body was developed maturely for his age. It was because of this that he can fool the officers into letting him set up a stall. The outline of his broad shoulders and toned body could be faintly seen even with the robes on and from his imposing stance, one cannot deny the impression of a person with ignoble presence, compelling anyone to lower their eyes.
