The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 46: Give Me the Child After It’s Born
Jasper Yale said something that made Yelena Hughes struggle a lot less.
"If I’m really pregnant, what will you do, young master?"
A cold voice whispered in Yelena Hughes’ ear, "Get rid of it."
This was a child meticulously conceived through plot, how could Jasper Yale possibly let her keep it? There couldn’t be a child between him and her.
Yelena Hughes watched as Aaron Payne rifled through the medical kit, and soon, a thin, long needle appeared in her sight.
"Doctor!"
As Aaron Payne reached for her hand, she softened her voice, her words taking on a coquettish tone that evoked pity. "Be gentle, okay?"
Aaron Payne couldn’t help but chuckle, "You’re something else, only kids act like this when getting a shot."
Yelena Hughes was truly nervous; with Jasper Yale’s eyes lowered, he could see the fine beads of sweat on her temple. "Are you scared? It doesn’t hurt."
Yelena Hughes’ lips were trembling, and Aaron Payne held the needle in his hand, "If you’re afraid, don’t look. Turn your head to the side, it’s just like a mosquito bite."
"Don’t treat me like a three-year-old."
Interesting indeed.
Aaron Payne noticed how Yelena Hughes stared intently at the spot about to receive the injection, this woman, the more scared she was, the more she had to watch. He deliberately played a trick to scare her, "I’m going to start now, ready!"
Yelena Hughes’ whole body tensed up, but Aaron Payne grinned mischievously, "Oops, sorry, I got distracted, let’s do it again."
As soon as he finished speaking, his leg was kicked hard, Jasper Yale gave him a warning look, signaling him to proceed!
Aaron Payne had to comply, and as Yelena Hughes watched the needle touch her hand, the reality that she didn’t even have control over her own body hit her hard. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Today, Jasper Yale’s one word was enough to have her blood drawn for testing. What about tomorrow? Could he just carve a piece of meat from her?
Her arm moved powerfully, causing the needle to twist inside her flesh, Aaron Payne quickly held her still, "Why are you moving? Not afraid of pain now?"
After the blood was drawn, Jasper Yale noticed the swelling at the spot where the needle was removed, "Serves you right."
But his tone wasn’t as harsh, it even carried a hint of reproach.
Yelena Hughes murmured, "Thank you, young master."
"Thank me?"
"Yeah, thank you for being concerned about my health and giving me a shot."
Aaron Payne could barely hold back his laughter, but what puzzled him most was that Yelena Hughes was being so sarcastic, and yet Jasper Yale wasn’t annoyed. When had his temper improved so much?
As they went downstairs, Aaron Payne saw the feast laid out on the table, still untouched, and couldn’t help but frown.
Yelena Hughes went to the bathroom again to throw up, vomiting so violently that she felt dizzy when she came out.
Jasper Yale sat by the bed; Yelena Hughes pressed a hand to her stomach, her body slightly hunched. Even if she were allowed to leave now, she didn’t have the strength to leave the room.
She glanced at the large bed within reach, wanting to lie down, but Jasper Yale was still seated there.
The man was replying to messages; he hadn’t gone back all night, surely Nancy Alden wouldn’t just ignore that.
"Can you leave?"
When Jasper Yale heard this, he finally looked up at where the voice came from, "Are you talking to me?"
"I want to lie down for a bit, not feeling well."
"I haven’t stopped you from sleeping, come here."
Yelena Hughes couldn’t be bothered with anything else, she lifted the quilt and lay on the other side of the bed, as Jasper Yale put his phone aside. She had vomited so much that her stomach was surely empty by now.
"Get up and eat something."
Now, whenever Yelena Hughes heard the word ’eat’, she felt like throwing up again. "I can’t eat anymore."
"Aaron Payne said you’re very weak, you need to nourish yourself."
Yelena Hughes lay with her back to the man; if only her ears could find some peace, "I’m not hungry."
The way she was turned out to be his indulgence towards Nancy Alden that caused this outcome. He stared at Yelena Hughes’ back; she was truly thin, like a paper figure hidden beneath the quilt.
Jasper Yale grabbed Yelena Hughes’ shoulder, her head spinning with dizziness, "Young master, please, let this pregnant woman rest for a while."
"What did you say?" Jasper Yale’s fingers tightened, "You already took a test, you knew you were pregnant, didn’t you?"
Yelena Hughes could hardly open her eyes, "Wasn’t it you who said I’m pregnant? I now feel like it’s possible. Even if you don’t want it, it’s inside me now. Can you let the mother of your child sleep?"
Jasper Yale was supposed to be furious, but inexplicably, the words ’the child’s mother’ wound around his heart like a rubber band.
With a slight pull, he felt uncomfortable, how could he let Yelena Hughes get pregnant?
But with a slight relaxation, a bizarre thought arose; was he... going to be a father?
Yelena Hughes found the quiet around her so comforting, but soon the quilt was pulled back, and Jasper Yale’s body drew closer.
"If you’re pregnant, then have the baby, I agree."
"..." Yelena Hughes struggled to keep her eyes open; men like Jasper Yale played wild, playing games with many women who threw themselves at him like moths to a flame, only to be burned to ashes. Those who thought they could use their children to ascend were numerous; would he really agree to let her have the child?
Her body gently retreated as her eyes fell on Jasper Yale’s face.
"Have the child, and not just medicine, I can take care of everything for your sister in the future. Nancy Alden’s body can’t bear a child; if you’re really pregnant, don’t terminate it."
This man was indeed terrifying; anyone but Nancy Alden could be a stepping stone.
He was constantly thinking, always arranging for Miss Alden, not only seeking a substitute for warmth but also planning for the fact that Nancy Alden couldn’t have children.
Yelena Hughes’ lips curled mockingly, "Have the child, so it can be Miss Alden’s?"
"What, you think you’re being wronged?"
Yelena Hughes slowly opened her eye corners, realizing the word ’filthy’ had little to do with money. She smiled sweetly, "Sure, as long as the young master gives me money, lots and lots of money."
She said this on purpose; he disgusted her to no end, why couldn’t she disgust him back?
Yelena Hughes tried to turn back to sleep but was stopped by Jasper Yale, who pinched her chin, "From how you’re talking, you’re sure you’re pregnant."
"Mm," Yelena Hughes’ face showed no hint, "I’m just waiting to enjoy a life of luxury, a lifetime of glory and wealth."
She pulled Jasper Yale’s hand away, exhaustion in her eyes, "But right now I really need to sleep; the baby says he’s tired and wants to rest."
Yelena Hughes fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow.
Jasper Yale listened to the long, steady breathing beside him; at a time like this, she still thought of sleeping?
Sleeping, really?
He reached out to wake her but seeing the pallor on her face, pulled his hand back.
When Jasper Yale received Aaron Payne’s call, Yelena Hughes was still asleep.
He got off the bed and only spoke after leaving the room, "What’s the result?"
"Take a guess."
"Do you have a death wish?"
Aaron Payne laughed from the other end of the line, "Young master, congratulations."
Jasper Yale felt his heart skip a beat.
