The CEO's Seductive Doll-Chapter 118: The CEO’s Coffee
The frown on Eternity’s face grew deeper.
"O-okay...?" she said, not knowing how else to react.
J beamed at her one last time as he removed his hands from her shoulders, turned his back to her, and continued walking down the hallway.
Eternity merely followed him wordlessly, too dumbfounded by what she just heard to do anything else.
It didn’t take quite a while because, after a few minutes, they arrived at the door of the CEO’s office.
"Guess I’ll leave you here," J said, nudging her softly on the shoulder. "I’ll head now in the other direction and see you later, D."
"Yes." Eternity nodded. "I’ll see you later."
J flashed his billion-dollar smile at her before turning his heels and heading to the opposite side of the hallway.
Now, Eternity stood alone in front of the CEO’s office.
She scanned her surroundings, taking note of how dull and plain everything looked. She expected the CEO’s front to have a certain grandiosity, to have something that blared out, ’THIS IS THE CEO’S OFFICE!’
Except all she saw was a long grey carpet and a series of potted plants in the hallway.
She shook her head and looked forward to the door, swallowing the lump forming in her throat as she grabbed the door’s handle. Slowly, she pushed it forward, and she stepped inside.

Eternity didn’t know exactly what she expected the CEO’s division to look like.
She expected to see Evan’s personal office immediately as soon as she opened the door.
But much to her surprise, she was greeted by the sight of a series of office tables and office chairs, all equally distributed and separated in the room with exact precision.
This was probably the CEO’s staff member’s office.
But most probably it was directly organized by Evan himself, knowing how much of a control-freak he was.
At the far end of the room, there was a huge tinted glass door, which Eternity assumed led the way to Evan’s office.
She didn’t know if she was supposed to directly go to Evan’s office now, but the moment she opened the door, all eyes flew in her direction. Some even gasped the moment they saw her.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." Eternity drawled, realizing a bit too late how she was making a fool of herself.
And she just arrived.
"Oh!" A familiar voice exclaimed. The sound of a table rattling as someone slammed their hands on its surface echoed inside the room. "So you’re assigned here! Who could’ve known?"
It didn’t take long for Eternity to find out who the source of the voice was.
The guy from this morning, whom Evan referred to as ’Jakob,’ stood up from his seat, making himself known from the sea of office workers, tables, and chairs in the room.
He headed toward her, a bright smile on his lips. Unlike J’s expensive smile, Jakob’s was more genuine.
It was like he was truly happy to see her.
"Miss Doll, was it?" Jakob asked, now standing in front of her. "I’m Jakob Schmidt."
He extended his hand for a handshake, and Eternity shook it firmly.
"Nice to meet you, Sir Schmidt," she said politely, smiling back at him.
"Oh, just call me by my first name!" Jakob chuckled. "I’m not someone worthy to be called a ’Sir,’ and I’m not clearly respectable enough to be referred to with such politeness."
’That self-drag seems too much...’ Eternity thought to herself.
"Okay... nice to meet you, Jakob," she tried again, his name curling out of her tongue like a foreign word.
He beamed brightly at her, like he was the sun.
Eternity already had a guess on what type of person Jakob Schmidt was just by this simple interaction: He was the extrovert who befriends introverts, making sure those introverts are comfortable and would not feel left out.
In other words, she already had a feeling that he was a kind person.
"Well, then, Miss Doll," Jakob said, motioning for her to follow him. "I’ll show you to your office desk."
Eternity nodded and was directed to the far end corner of the room, where an unoccupied table was situated directly in front of the CEO’s personal office.
"Here’s your seat, Miss Secretary," Jakob said, tapping the table with his fingertips.
Suddenly, he looked at her with stern eyes and motioned for her to come closer. Once they were hurdled up in front of the table, his voice lowered and became completely serious.
"I was Sir Holz’s unofficial secretary for the longest time, so allow me to teach you the do’s and don’ts of being his secretary so you won’t get fired on your first day here."
Eternity swallowed a hefty amount of saliva before nodding.

Evan was reading the morning news on his tablet when he heard a soft knock on his door.
"Come in," he replied, setting the tablet down on his table.
The door was slowly pushed open, revealing beauty incarnate entering his office with a cup of what he assumed was coffee in her hand.
"Good morning, Sir Holz." Eternity greeted, bowing meekly.
"Miss Doll," he greeted back. "Is that for me?"
"Yes, Sir!"
Evan didn’t say anything.
Instead, he leaned on the backrest and slouched on his office chair as she walked toward him.
Outside the room, he could hear murmurs of the office workers as they talked about Eternity.
"Did she bring him coffee?" One said. "Poor girl."
"Let’s bet, she’s going to get fired today." Another laughed.
He wasn’t sure if it was a joke or not.
"Sir Holz?"
Evan’s attention finally snapped back to Eternity, who was now setting the coffee cup on top of a coaster on his table.
Once she was done setting up, he peered at the coffee to check if it was exactly what he wanted. Though, of course, he had no way of knowing without directly tasting it, there was something about its aroma and color that affirmed him that this coffee would be okay.
He picked up the coffee through its handle and positioned the cup in front of his mouth. He inhaled the rich aroma of coffee and exhaled loudly.
"Smells nice," Evan murmured before taking a sip on his coffee.
Eternity smiled at him expectantly.
"How was it?" She asked nervously.
"It was exactly like I wanted it."
"Sweet enough to cause diabetes?" Eternity asked.
"Sweet enough to cause diabetes."
