The CEO's Seductive Doll-Chapter 140: The True Real Best Friend of the Doll
"J...?" Eternity whispered, her voice quivering with both shock and relief.
"Hey, D," J replied, his voice calm and steady. "I haven’t seen you in a while."
"You fucker!" Jakob spat. His fury was so immense that they could both feel the heat.
He swung his other arm in an attempt to attack J, but J was faster. He expertly twisted Jakob’s arm behind his back, the motion so swift and precise that Jakob’s face contorted in pain.
"Ouch! What the--" Jakob cried out.
Everything seemed to happen in a blur.
The movements were so quick that Eternity could barely follow what was happening. One moment, Jakob was still struggling against J’s hold, and the next, she heard a loud ’thud’ as Jakob was forced to the ground. J had Jakob pinned, both arms twisted behind his back in a strong grip.
"Call security," J ordered in an authoritative voice.
Eternity nodded, her eyes wide with a mix of panic and awe.
She quickly pulled out her phone, her hands trembling as she dialed the number for security.
"Hello, how may I help you?" One of the security personnel greeted politely.
"Hi, so, uhm..." Eternity began relaying their location and what exactly happened to the security. Her voice shook nervously as she spoke.
As she gave the details to the dispatcher, she kept glancing back at J, who maintained his hold on Jakob with surprising strength, ensuring the stalker could not escape or fight back.

"What’s with that look of disbelief?" J asked, crossing his arms.
Eternity realized she had been openly gawking at him. Embarrassed, she quickly looked away, her cheeks flushing pink.
"I’m just kidding. I’m not the least bit offended," he chuckled. "I know being effeminate gives me the stereotype that I’m soft and flamboyant, but I’m capable of some self-defense if the situation requires it."
"You’re not just ’capable,’ J," she said, her voice filled with admiration. "You’re 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 than capable! In my opinion, as a person with no knowledge in self-defense, you did amazing back there!"
J humbly bowed like a performer after a play, "Thank you, thank you."
Eternity couldn’t help but giggle at his antics. Her body, which she hadn’t even realized was tense, finally relaxed. The heavy feeling in her chest that had been devouring her innards finally dissipated.
After all the drama that had unfolded today, she felt like she could finally breathe easily.
Once Eternity finally composed herself, she noticed that J had been silent for quite a few seconds. When she looked at him, it took her a moment to notice that this time, J was the one openly staring at her.
"Is it your turn now?" she joked. "To gawk?"
But instead of looking sheepish at getting caught, J opened his arms wide and suddenly wrapped them around Eternity’s small body.
"I’m glad I arrived in time," he whispered with the gentlest of voices. "I don’t know what I would do to myself if something were to happen to you."
His embrace was warm and comforting, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, she felt safe. Eternity closed her eyes, resting her head against his chest, and let out a deep, contented sigh.
"I’m glad you were here, too."

"It was Esteban who told me," J said, his voice barely audible over the strong wind whipping around them as he leaned on the rooftop barriers. "After you cornered him in the elevator, he headed to the CFO’s office and told me what he told you earlier. He also mentioned that you were at the security room, checking the CCTV footage."
"So Esteban guessed that once I saw the CCTV videos, I would most likely confront Jakob. Is that right?" Eternity asked.
J nodded. "That’s why I headed to the CEO’s division as soon as I could, and just in time, I arrived."
They stood on the rooftop, a place that Eternity had once considered a secret hideaway for her and Jakob. But now, with everything that had happened, she knew she could never return here with Jakob again. Instead, she would share it with someone who truly cared for her, creating new memories and healing old wounds.
"Back then, in front of the cafeteria," Eternity began, and J shifted his weight uneasily on the barrier, as if expecting this interrogation. "You warned me that Jakob shouldn’t be trusted. Did you know beforehand that he was stalking Evan?"
She said Evan’s name freely now. J didn’t seem bothered or he simply didn’t notice. Instead, he shook his head.
"As I’ve said, I only heard about their weird support group and all that follows it earlier from Esteban, although I’m aware that he had been spreading rumors about you."
"He what?!" she gasped.
He nodded, his face grim, as he rested his chin on the barrier.
"Like what rumors?" She demanded.
"You know," J shrugged. "The cliché ones: you working as Sir Holz’s secretary-slash-sex slave--"
"What?!" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Yes," he said. "But the one rumor that spread across the company like wildfire was that you were the woman in Evan’s viral video in Andromeda’s, since, you know, the woman in the video had the same red hair as you did, making the rumors more believable."
"But I didn’t hear anyone gossiping about it until today," she pointed out.
"Come on, Eternity," J said, straightening his posture. "Would anyone in their right mind gossip in front of the person they’re gossiping about?"
Eternity frowned, getting his point.
"But to answer your question," he continued. "The possible reason why you didn’t hear it until today was because yesterday, he actually witnessed you and Sir Holz in the act."
"So it solidified his claims," she hummed. "And he spread the news all over the company without having any actual evidence aside from word of mouth."
"Exactly," J said. "It was merely word of mouth, yet people gobbled up his words because you two were close."
Eternity looked out over the city. The sky was starting to turn into a dark shade of orange as the sun began to set.
"How can I possibly fix this?" she whispered to herself.
J glanced at her with an unreadable expression on his face. But after a second, it turned into excitement.
"I have a plan, D!" J exclaimed loudly. "Through this plan, you could still clear up your and Sir Holz’s names!"
