The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System-Chapter 115 - Icy flower
"Ugh..." Qingyi couldn’t help but shiver slightly as he walked down the tunnel.
The walls around him were already completely covered in ice, and even the Three Bladed Monarch set seemed insufficient to fully protect him from the icy Qi.
Fortunately, his constitution was powerful enough to withstand it alone, and the little that passed through the set was only uncomfortable, nothing more.
He had been walking for more than two hours, and the icy Qi was getting stronger and stronger.
Luckily, the tunnel was wide and all the passages that could lead him astray had already been marked by Yunfei.
"I think we’re getting closer..." Ruxue spoke from inside the sword, and Qingyi nodded as he saw a blue glow illuminating the end of the tunnel on the horizon. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
He activated his draconic eyes, observing the thick lines of pure Qi that accompanied the blue glow, superior in intensity even to the lines that formed the highest quality cultivation chambers in the Ascending Dragon Sect.
He took a deep breath before moving forward, stopping his steps when he found himself in a large room.
The floor was covered in tall, strange, bluish grass. Amongst this vegetation, a countless number of different spiritual herbs were growing vibrantly.
Most had an affinity with ice, but many exuded pure Qi.
This was a natural spiritual garden, and one of the largest Qingyi had ever seen in his life. Even in books, such vast spiritual gardens were rare.
As he walked towards the center, he felt the air around him cool down even more, to a level where even the protections of the Three Bladed Monarch set began to fail, his constitution being forced to endure the cold alone.
Without wasting any more time, Qingyi crouched down and started collecting herbs.
He was curious to find out what was causing that cold Qi, but he was also in a hurry.
He didn’t know how long Yunfei’s advance would take and, even if it was quick, they would still have to wait for the golden crystals to shine again since.
After a few minutes, he finally reached his limit and examined his spatial ring.
There were almost six hundred spirit herbs of various kinds, from Golden Spirit Grass to Thousand-Year Mortal Jade Flowers.
He couldn’t help but feel a little pain in his heart as he looked back.
He had barely collected twenty-five percent of the herbs in the place, and those that remained would be enough to make him a fortune when he returned to the sect.
Even so, he forced himself to step back.
His hands were already numb and if he stayed there any longer, his body would begin to suffer.
He walked towards the garden exit with quick steps, but stopped at the last moment.
His eyes focused on something below him, feeling a particularly intense chill against the sides of his feet.
He took a step back and crouched down.
Below him was a small flower, with petals similar to roses, but bluish and brittle.
Qingyi brought his fingers close to it, feeling the powerful ice Qi concentrate on him with enough intensity to freeze his fingertips.
Covering himself with lightning sword Qi, he finally grabbed the flower, pulling it out of the ground and placing it in his spatial ring.
In the next moment, the ground beneath her feet shook and the powerful freezing Qi surrounding the garden seemed to disappear.
Qingyi’s eyes sparkled, but this sparkle didn’t last long.
Before he could even move, the spiritual herbs on the ground began to wither and die.
Was it that flower that was keeping the garden alive? But how?
Gritting his teeth, he drew his sword and used the second form of the Storm Monarch’s sword art, cutting down as many spirit herbs as he could.
As he expected, only the ones on the ground died, as if some array had sucked out all their life force the moment he took out that icy flower.
"Ruxue," Qingyi called out, taking the flower from his storage ring. "Do you know what kind of flower this is?"
"No," she shook her head. "But it doesn’t look like something from Mortal Heaven, nor does it look fully mature. To exude such strong Qi before it’s even fully matured, it can’t be an ordinary item."
"Hm..." Qingyi thought for a moment before trying to use the system to see its information.
Again, nothing. In the end, he just put it away, deciding to ask Feiyan or her master when he found them again.
With a sigh, he picked up all the spiritual herbs on the ground and took one last look at the now dead garden before entering the tunnels, heading up towards Yunfei.
The black-haired beauty was still cultivating peacefully, her eyes closed and her breathing calm and slow.
Sensing Qingyi’s presence, she opened her eyes, smiling subtly at the handsome young man.
"Was everything all right?" She asked, getting up. The effect of the pill had worn off, but she still felt full of energy.
The pills she had with her ran out in a few months when she arrived in this place and taking a cultivation pill after so long depending only on the miserable Qi density on the desert was liberating.
"Yes," Qingyi nodded as he accessed his spatial ring.
The room was immediately filled with a pure, deep Qi as hundreds of spiritual herbs left his ring.
Yunfei’s eyes were filled with shock. How had Qingyi gotten that many?
Even with the protections of the set he was wearing, she didn’t think he’d get more than a few dozen before being forced to retreat.
"Is that enough?" Qingyi asked, smiling as he noticed the expression that covered her face.
"Enough? With that many, I should have more than a fifty percent chance of advancing!" she exclaimed, picking up the spirit herbs and starting to organize them.
The Iron Body Realm, a level that was only a dream for almost every expert in the Heavenly Thunder Realm.
She would finally reach that level, and all because of one person - the same one who had finally claimed the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword and who would allow her to meet her disciples again.
