The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System-Chapter 55 - Escape
Chapter 55: 55 - Escape
Long Qingyi jumped over the treetops, landing silently on a branch.
His eyes scanned everything around him. It was dark, but with his draconic eyes activated, he could see clearly.
During the seven days he had been trained by Tang Biyue, he had not only greatly increased his control over Qi and his battle capabilities, but he had also studied various escape routes.
That place was known as the Beast Land.
It was a territory controlled entirely by spirit creatures and one of the main barriers separating the outer area of the Blue Moon Continent from the Nine Peaks Basin.
The mountain they stood on was in a deep valley, surrounded by dense forests, imposing mountains and winding canyons.
To the north and east, he would encounter beasts whose power reached the Iron Body Realm, while to the west, in the mountain ranges, there were even beasts of the Burning Blood Realm.
Going to any of those regions would be suicide, any beast above the Iron Body Realm would be able to kill him before he even felt its presence.
"Only the south remains..." he whispered to himself.
The south was the region with the fewest and weakest beasts.
The most powerful were only in the Golden Core Realm, with the majority in the Foundation Realm.
Of course, it was still dangerous, but Tang Yandu’s words made him ignore this danger completely.
He couldn’t be taken into the Tang family; if he allowed that to happen, it would be the end for him.
"System... how far away do I have to be to activate the talisman without being caught by Tang Biyue?"
[At least twenty kilometers. The talisman’s activation time is thirty seconds].
"Hm... that’ll have to do." He sighed, opening the system store and buying the talisman.
He couldn’t help but feel his heart ache as a golden piece of paper appeared in his hands and more than ten thousand lust points disappeared from his status.
He looked at the golden paper, which glowed faintly. He could feel a powerful Qi emanating from the words on it.
Putting the talisman away, he turned south.
"Twenty kilometers..." he repeated to himself, activating the Lightning Steps.
As a Foundation Realm cultivator, he could run at more than 60 kilometers per hour, even without using his movement techniques.
If he used his movement skills, it wouldn’t take him more than a few minutes to reach a safe distance.
His body disappeared into the darkness of the night and, slowly, the mountain began to move away.
The further he got, the more presences he felt - pulses of spiritual energy and horrendous roars echoing through the forest.
That was a dangerous forest to venture into at night.
Tang Biyue’s presence kept any beast away, but the moment he passed the fifteen-kilometer mark, that protection ended.
Qingyi immediately felt several auras falling on him.
His body trembled and his legs almost failed him, but he resisted, enveloping himself in a mantle of silver-blue Qi as he cut through the dense forest.
When he finally reached the twenty-kilometer mark, he stopped. His eyes shone as he raised his sword.
A crash echoed, his arms almost giving way as he was catapulted towards the ground, his body opening a small crater on impact.
"Crystal Serpent! Peak Foundation Realm!" Qingyi’s eyes widened as he hastily stood up.
In front of him, a monstrous figure stretched more than twenty meters in length.
Its eyes were a deep black and its white, almost translucent scales reflected the moonlight.
Without wasting any time, Qingyi grabbed the teleportation talisman, tearing it in half.
[Teleportation talisman activating in 30 seconds...]
Qingyi read the system notification, but barely paid any attention to it.
His eyes were fixed on the beast as the pieces of the talisman rose into the sky, glowing with an intense golden light.
The serpent hissed with that light.
Its forked tongue felt the air for a brief moment before it opened a mouth full of thin, sharp teeth and advanced towards Qingyi.
Its colossal body tore up the ground as it moved, snaking through the closed forest.
Strands of Qi that seemed to be made of crystals spread out above it, burning everything they touched.
Qingyi dodged and escaped the creature’s jaws, but its tail still hit him.
A deafening bang echoed, Qingyi coughing up blood as he was thrown backwards once again.
[15 seconds]
He showed a bloody smile on his face, activating Lightning Steps and swinging his sword towards the spirit beast, which tried to swallow him again.
Qingyi narrowly dodged it, jumping over its head and parrying its tail with his glowing blade.
He pushed every ounce of Lightning Sword Qi out of his Dantian, roared, and forced his arms until they went limp, but achieved nothing but a small mark on the creature’s scales.
[5 seconds]
The snake swung its colossal body and a muffled grunt escaped Qingyi’s lips as he hit a tree.
Some of his ribs broke and one of his lungs filled with blood.
[3 seconds]
The snake retracted its head, muscles rippling under its crystalline scales.
[2 seconds]
It opened its huge mouth, revealing rows of dagger-sharp fangs.
[1 second]
It advanced towards Qingyi, its jaw closing around him.
[Teleportation talisman activated]

Tang Biyue suddenly woke up.
Someone of her level could go for weeks without sleeping, but she still liked to do it from time to time.
It helped her think better.
Her beautiful green eyes fluttered slightly as she left her residence.
Her senses immediately picked up a strong source of energy.
With a smooth leap, she shot off in that direction, landing on a newly formed crater.
Her eyes were cold as they surveyed the battlefield.
With a single movement of her delicate hands, a colossal, bloody head fell, the body of the Crystal Serpent convulsing.
"He’s gone..." she said, her voice almost a whisper as she raised her head, looking at the beautiful moonlight that illuminated her serene face and the pale, voluptuous skin of her breasts.
Honestly, that was the best for her.
She was destined to live for thousands of years after reaching the Transcendence Realm, while Qingyi probably wouldn’t last more than a few centuries.
It was only natural.
She would never see him again and wouldn’t have to deal with the problem with her family’s elders.
But even so, she couldn’t help feeling a strange heaviness in her heart.
"Ah..." she let out a soft sigh.
It was time to take her brother to trial.
She couldn’t waste any more time.
