The Creatures That We Are-Chapter 1181: Man Child
Chapter 1181: Man Child
In a flash, the Dragonslaying Giantsword that had been knocked out of War Tiger’s grip returned to him—it wasn’t an accident. Dr. Jia had imbued the Dragonslaying Giantsword and the Black Gold sheath on War Tiger’s back with Qing Ling’s Metal, allowing War Tiger to manipulate his weapon from afar. Although he couldn’t control it finely like Qing Ling, he could call his weapon back easily.
He raised the Dragonslaying Giantsword above his head. Condition peaked at that moment, and the ace Vermilion Bird left him with was going to do its job.
Equivalent Exchange, triple buff!
Killing Expert, Eye for an Eye!
Violent energy gushed out of War Tiger’s body. The greatsword in his hands seemed to melt for a second into clouds of gray energy. Mark started mid-chase, sensing his sudden surge in power. But the death monster was fearless. He would even drill a hole into the heaven itself, let alone a mere human.
War Tiger’s eyes glowed like two orbs of white light. A hysterical grin distorted his face as he raised the dark clouds that had been his blade. Like the mythical hammer of the god of thunder, it came down and collided with the brown drill.
Blinding radiance drowned out the world. Wild violent energy burst across the sky like lightning, threatening to tear it into pieces.
Three seconds later, the brown drill lost the clash. It hit the ground in an instant, its trail visible like a chalk mark drawn by God.
The ground exploded. The energy ripples distorted it into undulating waves, hurtling and toppling the vegetation, buildings, and facilities.
Soon, the earth settled down, and silence returned. Mark kneeled in the center of the large crater, body covered in open wounds with countless bloodied horns protruding. He couldn’t believe that he had lost the clash.
He moved to pick himself up, but War Tiger descended at that moment and brought the Dragonslaying Giantsword down on Mark’s nape like an executioner carrying out a decapitation.
Mark’s head lowered once more, and his feet sunk into the ground. More horns burst out of his body like crimson corals.
He wouldn’t lose his head so easily, of course, and losing his head wouldn’t kill him anyway. His real heart and weakness was his horn.
However, it was a tremendous humiliation to kneel before his son!
“Agh!”
Veins popped up all over Mark’s body. Most of the horns retracted. He concentrated on lifting his head, but at the same time, War Tiger unleashed greater power and stepped on his heavy sword, pressing down the death monster’s head once more.
Innumerable crimson horns shot out of Mark’s body into an even larger patch of corals. Mark couldn’t believe it. War Tiger had become stronger still!
His head was pushed down, so he didn’t see that War Tiger had pierced his own chest with his left hand, triggering Killing Expert’s dying buff and doubling his power.
War Tiger was determined to stomp on his father tonight. He would serve up the greatest humiliation possible.
His blood dripped on Mark’s body. Although his face was covered in red, he grinned like a child.
“Isn’t this familiar to you, Old Man?”
“You fucking...have a death wish!!”
Mark raged.
His energy surged like a volcanic eruption, illuminating the world. However, the powerful brown was quickly offset by gray. The crater on the ground doubled in size and reached more than ten meters in depth. Gray and brown shards of energy scattered around, leaving the crater a pond of stained crystals.
Again, Mark failed to break out of War Tiger’s hold. He remained on his knees, his head touching the ground with the greatsword pressed to his nape.
War Tiger had used Blood Curse on Mark at the price of ten years of his lifespan, temporarily weakening Mark. And Drunken Master’s paralyzing effect was having an effect. At that moment, Mark felt lost for the first time. He had failed to activate his second form!
War Tiger became paler, yet he maintained his prideful stance like he had the upper hand. “You haven’t forgotten, have you, Old Man? I’ll remind you...”
“I’ve watched that match hundreds of times. Before the match, you trash-talked the opponent and said that you would end the game in three minutes, yet you were the one getting knocked out.”
“The new guy you hadn’t even spared a glance for beat you into a pulp. You lay on the floor, waiting for the referee to finish counting down: ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.”
“You wanted to get up, but you couldn’t. You were as pitiful as a rabid dog getting beaten to death on the street.”
“Yes, just like you are now! It’s the same, hahahaha!”
War Tiger stomped on Mark’s head harder.
“Old bastard! You’ve lived in wrath your whole life! Taking it out on others, on life! Yet your rage never quieted. Have you thought about why?!”
He pushed Mark’s face into the ground.
“Because your wrath originated from a fear of your incompetence!”
“You are the real coward. You don’t even have the courage to face your fear!”
“You think bullying the weak will prove your power?”
“You think the world will hear you out if you destroy what’s beautiful?”
“You think fate will grant your wish if you stay angry?”
“No!”
“It won’t!”
“Never!”
“God isn’t your parent! They won’t wipe the ass for a man-child like you!”
“They will simply applaud and cheer on the sideline until They tire of the show. Then They will push you to death and reincarnation!”
War Tiger made a final stomp. The overflowing energy was so tremendous that the world paled for a second. He crushed Mark’s head.
“And I, your son, is your ferryman to the netherworld!”
...
Silence stretched for three seconds. Then in an instant, all the crimson horns retracted to Mark’s headless body.
The land tremored. Mark’s body melted into brown molten light. The moment Mark’s head was crushed, he killed the body and forced his second form—Horns of Wrath!
Innumerable horns protruded from the ground, filling the crater and converging to the center.
From the sky, Mark’s voice spoke:
“I’m...angry.”
