A tense silence settled between them as Nikolai's intense gaze burrowed into her own. For a brief second, Mineah felt a shiver run down her body, a brief spike of arousal washing over her as his captivating eyes and hot breath made her feel like he was about to descend upon her like a man possessed.

"You're asking for this… Aren't you, Mine," he directly stated, his eyes never leaving hers as he broke through the tension.

The ladle that once separated them fell to the floor with a small clatter as she felt herself being sat down on the cold counter. From there, Nikolai positioned himself in between her legs, his gaze still firmly on her eyes as she stood looming over her exposed figure.

"You wanted this, Mine," he directly stated. "Don't you dare deny this."

"So long as we don't go all the way, then I'm fine with whatever it is you have to do to satisfy yourself," she hummed even as she allowed herself to relax in his grip. "I am your wife, after all, and I acknowledge my duties as such."

Despite herself, Mineah blushed as she felt her core start to dampen with her arousal. Nikolai had already taken her current stance as permission to let his hands roam around her body. Somehow, Mineah felt herself dampen even more as she heard his words. Even further, his kisses began to trail down her neck all the way down her shoulder blades, his hands gently caressing her curves as he slowly made his way down her body.

Her ears perked up. "Yes?"

"The stew…" he pointed out with a soft chuckle. "It's probably overdone by now…"
