The Cursed Triplet Alphas' Fated Mate-Chapter 38
Chapter 38: 38
Sue
When I still didn’t give a response, the three women folded their hands, glaring at me in clear annoyance. "Are you still not gonna say anything?? We ask you to get on your knees and apologize!" Angelo’s betrothed cried out but I still remained silent, not because I didn’t have anything to say, but because I could tell that my silence was grating on their nerves so much, which was pleading me immensely.
"And be sure to swear to never be around the princes again, then we’ll definitely spare you." Adele snapped, her voice a tad louder and so it alerted a few people who began to look away.
I stiffled a groan, feeling very irritated right now.
When Gina attempted to say something, the sound the the microphone clearing filled the room and everyone quickly turned around to focus on the stage.
The three women who looked like they had been about to murder me, whirled around and glanced at the stage, longing clear in their eyes as they all bounced with excitement.
When the Prince’s walked unto the stage, everyone screamed bloody murder, like they were in some sort of concert. Some people even fainted when Angelo took the mic up for some decorum.
I rolled my eyes and scoffed underneath my breath. Do these people know Joe horrible their princes are? Cause I’m certain that’s the only reason they love them like this. If they know how crazy the princes are underneath their ridiculously handsome faces, they’d definitely hate the princes like I do.
"Hello everyone, and thank you for honoring our invite, despite it being a very short notice." Angelo began and everyone screamed loudly, falling over themselves to be noticed by either of the princes.
I knew they were heartrobes of the pack because that was already a given, but I didn’t know it was to this extent.
"We have a very important announcement to give today." Landon spoke this time and everyone screamed again. Damon was silent, he just stood beside his brothers, a brooding expression across his face, which was doing it for a lot of girls because they were all falling over themselves at the sight of him.
"We’d like to announce... that we’ve found our fated mate!" Angelo announced in a firm voice this time.
The crowd erupted in screams and gasps of shocks. Beside me, the theee betrothed brides all grew still at the same time, their eyes wide and filled with confusion as they all exchanged looks. It was clear that; that was the last thing they expected the Princes to reveal tonight.
"Have they really found their fated mate?"
"WOW! After so many years!
"Who is the lucky girl!"
"Why couldn’t it be me?!"
"Aw, damn. What lucky bitch gets to be fated to these three princes!?? I’m so jealous!"
I could hear a lot of opinions around me from multiple girls at the same time, some were speaking out loud and some were whispering to their friends.
"And now... we’ll ask her to come forward!" Landon informed everyone and a silence came over the crowd. People instantly began to glance around, clearly trying to figure out who the mate might be.
Damon went to whisper something to a man standing behind the stage, and my heart began to pound really hard. I was so nervous right now that my hands were literally shaking. No one was glancing at me because I’m the last person they’d assume to be the princes’ fated mate.
In the next moment, a spotlight came on, then it began to move over the crowd.
I sucked in a sharp breath, then I completely stopped breathing till the spotlight stopped above me.
A pin could be heard if it fell down right now. Everyone around me had their mouth hanging open from sheer bewildnent as they gaped at me. However, nothing could describe the shock on the three betrothed faces, especially Adele. She didn’t just look shocked, she looked furious as hell as she gripped her dress tight.
"Let her through." Damon said with a deep voice into the mic and I swallowed emptily, just as the crowd parted into two like water being sliced with a knife.
I exhaled slowly, schooling my expression to complete blankness, then I held my head high, making sure all my nerves was locked away, and then I began to walk down the clear part till I was right beside the stage.
Landon was the one who held a hand out to me, and my heart stuttered in my chest as I slipped my hand into his outstretched one. A shiver rolled down my spine, and I couldn’t look away from his eyes as he helped me up unto the stage, then he made me stand before him and his brothers.
"Everyone, meet Sue, our fated mate who we’ll be getting married to in a week."
Everyone screamed loudly while clapping and I was shifting around and trying not to reveal any nervousness that I was feeling right now. I could feel the princes’ gazes on me and I was trying to pretend otherwise, but I knew that I was failing.
At the side of the stage, I caught sight of the king and Queen sitting there. The king had a stormy expression which made me duck before I quickly averted my gaze. He didn’t look happy in the slightest and I didn’t know why.
"Is she gonna be the pack’s Luna as well?" Someone from the crowd screamed and I felt my breath, waiting for a response.
"Yes, she’ll become our Luna as well." Damon responded and a long sigh escaped my throat.
Phew.
At least, even though I’d be forced into the marriage, I’d get to become a Luna, a position I grew up believing I’d get... so that should still count as something.
"What pack is she from?" Another person asked and I instantly stiffened, my eyes widening.
I was from an enemy pack. Should that be revealed to them, they’d definitely not want me as their Luna anymore.
