"And You’ll really not reject me instead? Please?" My voice cracked at the end of my sentence.

"No." Angelo responded and I was silent for a while before suddenly blurting out.

"I hate the three of you so much, so so much!" I cried out, meaning those words with everything in me.

Landon was still not saying anything, but he was staring at me so intensely. Demon glanced away, but Angelo stepped forward, and fesr flew into my throat, making me instantly inch backward. In the next moment, he grabbed my arm and jerked me forward, then he leaned forward.

"Do you think we care that you hate us? Because we don’t. Your father should have thought twice before he thought of killing our mother." He gritted out in a low voice before suddenly letting me go and I almost lost my footing.

After that, they all turned to leave, leaving me feeling extremely angry, stuck and frustrated.

I was so frustrated and so angry. I want to break down but I forced myself to not do that because it really won’t help me in any way.

Instead of just starting to cry, I went into my closet smf began to pack my stuff. Since the princes said I’ll be moved out of this room, I had to start packing then. As I packed, I kept thinking about how much I detest them so much.

Who knew they could be this horrible? I hadn’t the slightest idea, else I’d have kept trying to run away. Who knows? Perhaps if I hadn’t stopped trying, I might have successfully escaped by now.

I let out a sigh as I stopped packing for a moment, then a stray tear slipped down my cheeks, which I quickly wiped away while feeling angry at myself for daring to cry like it was gonna magically change my situation.

But I just feel so tired and drained. I’m a trained fighter, but compared to the princes, I was very weak. It wasn’t like since I got here I never tried to leave. I did try, it just never worked out. Now it’s seeming like I never made any attempt at all cause I have nothing to show for it, and I hate feeling like this so much.

I let out a shaky exhale as I pushed myself to my feet. I couldn’t believe a princess like me was turning into a slave in a few hours. I mean, I never felt like a princess my entire life but I was still one regardless.

As I resumed packing, I tried to cheer myself up. Perhaps once I become a slave, I definitely won’t have guards watching me anymore, and I’ll be sent errands outside the palace. Which means I could use that avenue to escape!

That was definitely something to look forward.

As I finished, then went to take a shower, I reminded myself that this wasn’t the end of the world and that I was still gonna figure it out no matter what I always do.

Like the princes said, I was moved out of my room in exactly two hours. It almost felt like I was dreaming, but I knew damn well that this was really happening. It felt beyond humiliating, all the maids who used to hate me were opening crackling as the guards who came to move me out, left me to drag my bags all the way to the slave quarters myself, amidst all the laughs from the maids.

When I was roughly shoved into one of the rooms in the slave quarters, I was so shocked to realize that I was placed in the same room as Isis and Ada. Their eyes widened as they hurriedly approached me.

"My lady, what happened??" Iris cried out as she helped me up.

"Why are you here, my lady? And why are your things here as well? Ada asked. They both looked so worried and concerned that something snapped within me and I burst into tears the next moment.

And almost immediately, they were both pulling me into their arms.

After they hugged me till I stopped crying, I finally told them the truth, that I was the princes’ mate but was asked to hide that fact and all, and all the recent events that occurred. They were both so shocked and they revealed how happy they were to hear the news that I was the princes’ fated mate and also the woman they’d be getting married to.

They both hated the princes’ betrothed brides like I do, and that made me feel a little bit better.

"It’s alright, guys. I’ll be fine," I tell them but I knew damn well that I was lying through my teeth.

Apparently, a lot of rumors had already spread through the kingdom concerning me and everyone now hates me. That made me let out a sigh as I flopped into my new bed that felt hard and uncomfortable, but I was sure I’d get used to it in no time.

Before I could let my eyes flutter close, I was summoned by the head of the maids here in the palace. She was a beautiful and busty woman that seemed to have a permanent scowl over her face.

"I heard you’re the princes’ mate but after your father’s crimes came to light, you’ve been reduced to a mere slave." The woman drawled as a few girls standing behind her laughed, while I remained silent.

"Oh, yes... from now on, you’ll address me as Lady Beatrice, and with respect, of course,"

I nodded tensely, feeling so humiliated right now.

"Words, girl." She snapped and I nodded again, but when her eyes narrowed, I let out a sigh.

This wasn’t gonna be easy at all, because I could effortlessly beat this woman up and her lackeys, but I have to control myself no matter what since they could easily call a guard for help, and then I’ll be overpowered and outnumbered.

"Yes, lady Beatrice." I finally responded and she grinned, cleverly pleased.

"Good," she crooned before glancing over at a book she was previously holding.

"You’ll get your first chore right now, Sue. Go to the kitchen, the princes has requested for some drinks and the chef has already prepared it. Go serve it to them in their lounge area.

"Yes, Lady Beatrice." I forced the words out through clenched teeth before storming away.

I couldn’t believe this was my life now.

How the heavens have turned away from me once again.
