Chapter 577: Chapter 298: Bathroom. Young girl. Tentacles. (Day 1 of Thousands!!!)_6

"Uh-huh," Jiang Shu said, running his fingers through her hair, "why don’t you sit here for a while, then? I’ll go and get lunch ready."

"Okay," Liu Tingruo didn’t try to insist, settling down to wait on the couch.

Jiang Shu headed into the kitchen and tapped Xiao Yi on the forehead before continuing where Liu Tingruo had left off.

About thirty minutes later, Jiang Shu had prepared a simple two dishes and a soup, plenty for just the two of them to eat.

However, when he came back to the living room to call Sister Ruo to wash up and eat, he found that she had already fallen asleep on the sofa.

"Uh..." Jiang Shu looked at her sound asleep and couldn’t help but chuckle to himself.

Indeed, Liu Tingruo had gotten up at seven-thirty in the morning to start helping Jiang Shu, and not long after seeing him off, she busied herself with cooking.

Her efficiency was low, so she had little time to rest.

Given Liu Tingruo’s usual daily routine, she definitely got less sleep than normal today, so it was perfectly natural for her to fall asleep now that she was done.

So, he put the dishes in an insulated box for now and turned to go down to the basement.

He had something to discuss with Rat King Phil.

To successfully infiltrate the Sages Group, it would certainly be convenient to have the help of those rats.

Even Jiang Shu’s papermen couldn’t compare to these rats. The enhanced rats’ agility and intelligence were something the papermen couldn’t match, and they could even communicate with Rat King Phil, while Jiang Shu obviously couldn’t communicate with those papermen.

"How many enhanced rats would it take to survey a building block in three hours?" Jiang Shu found Rat King Phil and asked directly, "The area covers about the size of this villa district, but the buildings are much taller."

"Three hours... for just a preliminary understanding of the whole building block, fifty would be enough," Rat King Phil said, drawing from its ample experience to provide a reference, "Usually, that’s enough to draft the internal network of the entire area."

"Great, we’ll do it your way," Jiang Shu said. "You come with them."

"Oh, wait, where to?" Rat King Phil instinctively agreed but suddenly felt something was off.

"There’s no time to lose, let’s go and talk on the way." Jiang Shu smiled, administering a Sudden Death Potion injection to Phil.

Leveling up to Peak allowed him to carry quite a few items back home with him, but it still couldn’t be living beings, so this was his only option.

He had to turn Rat King and its enhanced rats into inanimate objects first, then take them all to the Thirteen District and resurrect them there.

Although it was a bit of trouble, there certainly was no mode of transportation easier than this method.

Not to mention whether there was enough time, just getting the rat-headed individuals onto any transport was simply impossible.

Then there were the fifty enhanced rats. Jiang Shu repeated the process and soon left the place with a bag full of rat corpses.

As he passed by Red Clo’s room, he hesitated for a moment, because for an instant, he thought of letting Clo loose to create problems for Police Chief Chris.

But in just an instant, he dismissed the thought.

Just Chris, he didn’t warrant letting Clo out. If Clo had some special ulterior motive, its destructive potential would be much greater than Chris’s.

Thirteen District was dangerous enough, to add Clo to the mix...

Jiang Shu could imagine the chaos that would ensue just thinking about it.

He suspected all the Three Major Groups in Thirteen District already had Clo PTSD, and if Clo showed up openly, someone would surely go mad.

Forget it, forget it, he thought. Things are going well for him right now, best not to complicate them.

Despite Red Clo’s apparent allegiance to him, Jiang Shu truly did not trust this person at all.

Black Clo always had a purpose for everything he did, but not necessarily Red Clo. He just thought about keeping his smile.

Carrying one super-sized rat and fifty small rats, Jiang Shu tiptoed upstairs, not daring to wake Liu Tingruo.

Any woman who saw this scene wouldn’t let him back into bed that evening.

——

In the makeshift base’s living room, the fox elegantly picked up the teacup in front of him, sipping the red tea in the bright sunlight, savoring the taste.

"Bang—" The Magic Table in the living room suddenly made a noise, and then a person with a rat head rolled out.

"Phew—" The fox’s eyes widened in shock at the bizarre scene; his first thought was that Jiang Shu had somehow mutated.

But soon, Jiang Shu’s face appeared. He pushed aside the corpse of the Rat King and pulled out the snake leather bag. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

A small Magic Table hiding two people and fifty rats, one could only wonder what he had been through.

Luckily, they appeared in this place in an instant.

"You... what is this?" The fox’s face was full of question marks.

"Got some help," Jiang Shu indicated the bodies on the ground, then dragged them into a single room and instructed Xiao Jia, who followed, to perform the resurrection.

"What about that bag?" the fox asked, his eyes fixed on the snake leather bag, surprised again.

"Oh, nothing much, just a helper," Jiang Shu then opened the snakeskin bag to show him.

The fox regretted it.

He began to doubt that Jiang Shu was a pervert.

But Jiang Shu didn’t have time to provide any explanations, as he had to go back once more.

The next second, he reappeared in the villa, then quickly walked toward the Fish Maiden’s room.

"Fish Maiden," he knocked on the door, then walked in.

Fortunately, the Fish Maiden was wearing a swimsuit this time; she stood up from the water and cast an inquiring look at Jiang Shu.

"Do you trust me?" he first asked, "I need to take you to a place."

This invasion also required the Fish Maiden’s power; only she could navigate directly to the president’s office through the waterways.

The Fish Maiden nodded.

She never refused the person who fed her and treated her well.

So, Jiang Shu used the Sudden Death Potion on her, it took three doses to successfully kill her.

But suddenly, he faced a difficulty looking at the Fish Maiden’s several thick, plump tentacles.

Miscalculated.

He should have let the Fish Maiden drain her water before dying.

Considering the large volume, he doubted he would get strangled to death inside the magic table.

"Alas," he sighed and reluctantly went over to manually dehydrate her.

Grasping the Fish Maiden’s tentacle, he squeezed and pulled, and abundant mucus oozed from the openings of the tentacles, which also had eyes on them.

At this moment, even though those eyes had lost their luster, they were all gazing at Jiang Shu, giving him the creeps.

But what could he do?

It was his oversight.

"Alas," Jiang Shu sighed again, reaching for another tentacle.

Bathroom. Girl. Tentacles. Mucus.

Recalling these keywords and looking at the scene in front of him, he slowly shook his head.

---

Liu Tingruo opened her eyes.

Her eyes felt fine now; the burning pain had long disappeared.

She sat up and looked around the living room for something.

There was no sign of Jiang Shu.

Blinking, she remembered what happened before she fell asleep.

Wasn’t Jiang Shu supposed to be cooking?

Then suddenly, Liu Tingruo saw Xiao Yi gesturing her to be silent.

?

Xiao Yi then pointed upstairs to the Fish Maiden’s room.

Liu Tingruo furrowed her brow; she felt puzzled and a slight bad premonition, so she went upstairs barefoot.

Making no sound at all.

Slowly, she approached the Fish Maiden’s room.

The door was ajar, allowing an easy view inside.

There sat the man she knew so well—Jiang Shu at the edge of the bathtub, his hands seemed to be doing something with the Fish Maiden’s tentacles, splashes of mucus ejecting over him and onto the Fish Maiden.

And the Fish Maiden was just wearing a thin swimsuit, lying on the edge of the bathtub with closed eyes and biting her lip, not showing much expression, merely letting Jiang Shu work on her tentacles.

A large amount of mucus stained her body too, giving her skin a shiny, alluring sheen.

At that moment, Jiang Shu became aware of something; he turned his head, looking at Liu Tingruo, then at his hands and the Fish Maiden beside him, and he was immediately shocked.

"Wait, let me explain!"
