The Destiny Villainess Wants Me To Work!-Chapter 89: ’Art Of Torture!’
The door to Captain Song Jinyu’s office at the Jiangnan Police Station was pushed open urgently.
"Captain!"
The sudden noise broke the quiet of the room.
Song Jinyu looked up from the documents on her desk, a slight frown forming on her face. Her sharp eyes immediately landed on the man standing in the doorway.
"Officer Lu?"
She straightened in her chair.
"What’s wrong? Did something happen?"
It was rare to see Lu Han behave like this. Among the officers at the station, he was known for his steady temperament. A veteran with years of field experience, Lu Han was the kind of officer who rarely lost composure, even during difficult operations.
Yet now his breathing was uneven, and there was clear tension on his face.
Something serious had happened.
Lu Han stepped inside quickly and closed the door behind him.
"Captain Song... the outskirts..." he said, but the words stumbled out of his mouth.
Song Jinyu’s brows knit together slightly.
"Calm down."
She gestured toward the chair in front of her desk.
"Take a deep breath first, then explain."
Her voice carried a natural authority that made people instinctively follow her instructions.
Lu Han nodded and did exactly as he was told.
He inhaled slowly, held his breath for a moment, then exhaled.
The tension in his shoulders eased slightly.
When he spoke again, his voice was steadier.
"Captain... we’ve located the base of the Black Bull Gang."
Song Jinyu’s expression immediately sharpened.
"Their base?"
She leaned forward slightly.
"Where is it?"
Lu Han replied quickly.
"In the outskirts of the city—near the old warehouse area beyond the western vegetation belt."
Song Jinyu’s eyes narrowed.
For months, the Jiangnan Police Department had been investigating several cases of disappearances and trafficking. Every clue eventually pointed toward the Black Bull Gang, but the gang had always managed to stay one step ahead.
Their hideout had remained a mystery the entire time.
And now suddenly—
"You’re certain?" she asked.
Lu Han nodded firmly.
"We just received a call reporting suspicious activity in the warehouse area. When we checked the intelligence of that location, there had indeed been human activities there for the past few months. According to the information, all those warehouses have been rented by Henvor Toys and Co. It’s nothing but a shell company for the Black Bull Gang."
His tone grew serious.
"It’s highly likely that this is their main storage base."
Song Jinyu immediately stood up from her chair.
The movement was quick and decisive.
"Call the team."
Her voice was calm, but there was unmistakable urgency beneath it.
"We’re moving out immediately."
Lu Han hesitated for half a second.
"Captain... there’s one more thing."
Song Jinyu paused and looked at him.
"What is it?"
Lu Han frowned slightly.
"The mysterious report also mentioned... someone already fighting inside the compound."
Song Jinyu’s brows furrowed.
"Someone?"
"Yes," Lu Han replied.
"The caller said a woman broke into the warehouse area and started attacking the gang members."
For the first time, a trace of surprise appeared in Song Jinyu’s expression.
"A woman?"
Lu Han nodded.
"That’s what the report said."
Song Jinyu remained silent for a moment, processing the information.
A lone woman attacking the Black Bull Gang’s base sounded almost unbelievable.
But regardless of who it was, the situation had already escalated.
If the report was true, dozens of trafficked victims might still be inside those warehouses.
There was no time to waste. The woman might even be in danger.
Song Jinyu picked up her jacket from the back of the chair.
"Alert the armed unit," she ordered.
"And prepare the vehicles."
She walked toward the door, her expression sharp and focused.
"Today," she said firmly, "we’re ending the Black Bull Gang."

Meanwhile, in another part of Jiangnan City, Yang Qingxi had already finished giving several instructions over the phone.
Earlier, she had quietly arranged for someone to report the situation in the warehouse district to the Jiangnan Police. At the same time, she contacted the personal task force of the Yang Consortium, ordering them to discreetly monitor the situation and prepare for any developments.
Once everything had been arranged, the large living hall of the villa returned to silence.
Yang Qingxi sat on the sofa, leaning slightly back against the cushion.
However, her expression was far from relaxed.
A faint frown rested between her brows, and her fingers tapped slowly against the armrest as if she were thinking about something unpleasant.
Just then, soft footsteps approached from the hallway.
Zhang Xulin walked into the living room and stopped near the sofa. She studied Yang Qingxi’s expression for a moment before speaking.
"Miss Yang," she said, sounding slightly concerned. "Is something troubling you?"
"You look like you’re in a bad mood."
Yang Qingxi glanced at her briefly.
Then she asked calmly, "Do you know what happened last night?"
Zhang Xulin thought for a moment.
"Are you talking about the assassin who targeted Su Mo?"
Yang Qingxi blinked.
"Yeah—wait."
Her head tilted slightly.
"Targeted Su Mo? Wasn’t I the target?"
Zhang Xulin shook her head immediately.
"No."
Her tone was certain.
"She was only after Su Mo. If her goal had been you, I wouldn’t have stopped at breaking just two of her fingers."
Yang Qingxi raised an eyebrow.
"You broke her fingers?"
The information surprised her.
At the same time, a strange sense of satisfaction quietly rose in her chest, though she quickly suppressed it.
Zhang Xulin didn’t seem to notice her reaction.
Instead, she crossed her arms and showed a rather smug expression.
"I recently finished reading a book called The Art of Three Hundred Tortures," she said proudly. "I was actually hoping to try a few techniques on her."
She shrugged slightly.
"But since you let Su Mo decide what to do with her—and her target wasn’t you—I figured it wasn’t necessary."
Yang Qingxi fell silent for a moment.
"I see."
Her voice sounded calm, but there was a faint trace of regret in her tone.
"If only I had woken up."
