Chapter 657: Decision To Leave For Agartha

Arlan waited for Yorian and Sierra’s arrival at Wildridge Manor, his mind racing with concern. He paced the open lounge until he heard their footsteps approaching.

"Did the sky fall on the dragon’s head? You seem so restless," Yorian commented as he settled into a chair, with Sierra taking the seat next to him.

"Something like that," Arlan replied, his voice tense.

"What happened? Did the Demon find your mate?" Yorian asked playfully.

"No, but my mate might find him soon," Arlan replied, his demeanor serious.

"What do you mean?" Yorian asked, while Sierra leaned in, waiting to hear more.

"Oriana has been to the Demon realm," Arlan said calmly, though the revelation caused the other two to lose their composure.

"How did this happen?" Sierra asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Arlan narrated the events, worry etched on his face. "Do you think the beings in the Demon realm were alerted by her presence?"

"Certainly," Sierra replied. "If someone crossed the barrier around the Demon realm, it’s impossible that no one would know. I am sure they already know it."

"What would happen now?" Arlan asked, his anxiety palpable.

"They cannot leave the Demon realm, so we are still on the stronger side, but the rock given to Zaria might reach Oriana soon," Sierra explained.

Arlan’s eyes darkened with concern. "If Oriana has to go there and she is already my mate, will that Demon still be able to claim her as his?"

"I can’t tell for sure, but we believe the bond with the Divine Dragon, who possesses absolute darkness, should be stronger than any promise made using blood with darkness. Moreover, it shall depend on the will of the bonded. If Oriana accepts you, then the bond with you shall be stronger," Sierra replied. "But the Demon realm has its own rules, so we have to be ready to fight our way out."

Arlan remained silent for a moment before saying, "We are going to Agartha."

"Good decision," Yorian spoke. "If any trouble arises, there are two other dragons who can help you. I hope there is nothing left for you to take care of here, as the journey and stay in Agartha can be longer than you can think."

"Everything is settled here. My father can continue to govern the kingdom peacefully. I will ask my brother Lenard to return and take over my responsibilities."

"Good. We can leave whenever you say you are ready."

"I have to inform my parents and prepare a few things before leaving. We can depart tomorrow morning."

The other two agreed. Yorian added, "Until then, we will enjoy our stay here with Snowflake, if you do not plan to send her away after what she did."

Arlan sighed. "I can’t. It would break Oriana’s heart. We will take her with us to Agartha."

"That’s good for the wolf. She might learn better among the beasts there."

With their plans set, Arlan hurried back to the palace. He met his parents at Oak Palace, where the King had just finished his work. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

"What’s so urgent, Arlan? Is everything alright?" King asked with concern.

"Father, Mother, I’m here to inform you that Oriana and I will be away for a while," Arlan said.

"Where are you going?" Julien asked, while Ailwin had already guessed the reason.

Arlan explained everything to his mother, who was understandably shocked by the revelations. Having faced Edna for two decades, she understood that some truths were hard to believe but nonetheless real.

Arlan simplified the explanation, telling his parents only that he needed to mark Oriana as his mate and create a bond between them. This required them to travel far away to the kingdom of supernaturals, a place unknown to humans.

He chose not to burden them with the knowledge of Oriana being a demoness and the threats she might face.

"I will take care of everything here and inform others that you and Oriana have left to find some peace together," the King assured him.

"Thank you, Father."

"Before you leave, let me meet Oriana," Julien requested.

"Of course, Mother."

After leaving Oak Palace, Arlan spoke with Imbert and Rafal in his study.

"After I leave for Agartha, your presence here might raise questions about my absence without my guardian knights. To avoid this, if you two wish, you can take a vacation and enjoy time with your families or do whatever you want," Arlan told them.

"I would like to go to the Northeast. There, I can help Alex," Imbert added.

Rafal, seeing this as a good opportunity to be with his sister, spoke up, "I would go to the Northeast as well."

Arlan first turned to Imbert. "If you are doing this to avoid going home so your family won’t pester you about getting married, then you are free to do what you want."

"Thank you, Your Highness."

"But during this time, you should think about what you truly want," Arlan added. "You are my guardian knight and my responsibility as well. Whatever you decide for your own happiness, I will always stand by your side."

"Thank you, Your Highness," Imbert repeated.

Arlan turned to Rafal, "What might be your reason to go to the Northeast, Rafal? Rowan is yet to get married, so I believe as the youngest, you do not have any such pressure."

"Erin’s marriage is being arranged with Aaron, so I simply want to look out for her. I will help Aaron as well," Rafal explained.

Arlan agreed. "Very well. Tomorrow morning, Oriana and I will leave."

He gave the two knights further instructions on various matters, ensuring everything would run smoothly in his absence. With the practicalities sorted, he decided to return to Oriana, who he had left behind angry and aroused. He was sure she would give him the cold shoulder now, but he didn’t regret what he did. All he could do was try to soothe her anger and coax her gently.

Arriving the Honeysuckle palace, he approached Oriana’s chamber, he braced himself for her reaction. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door and stepped inside.
