The dragon's harem-Chapter 1421: Moon Magic
Chapter 1421: Moon Magic
"So? Did you send D to the moon?" Jasmine asked as she was sitting behind her desk, going through a large bag of trinkets. Cerilla and Dalla were sitting on the couch, sipping tea and waiting for her to finish.
"The trolls are dealt with, it was a dragon behind them. For D, she is with Lunara." Arad sat beside Cerilla and looked at Jasmine, "D, what does she want?"
"She wants to become a full moon. Her name is D, that’s a half moon. Moon sorcery grows stronger as the moon becomes brighter, but she wants to harness the power of the dark side as well. So she won’t have a weakness." Jasmine closed the bag, having finished gathering her things.
"She is an all mighty wizard under the full moon, but a regular elf when the moon is nowhere to be seen." Jasmine stood and approached Arad, "I’ll call her to Alina later, but since she wanted to study the moon, I thought that Lunara would be able to guide her well." She then pulled a necklace that she was wearing around her neck.
"This is what I was looking for. I’ve also picked up a few servants to move with me. The Guard nights are decent, but they lack a gentle touch." She then approached the window and looked out, "Even if we built the capital close to Alina, far away from the sea, you’ll still need a naval fleet. I’ll handle all of the marine matters from warfare to commerce and transportation. With enough working hands and resources, I bet we’ll build a fleet bigger than what we Dark Elves have."
"You say that as if it’s easy." Arad looked out of the window at the massive bay, "Ruris doesn’t have such a safe place to build and train sailors. This bay is a protected heaven. The waters are calm, unlike the death sea Ruris faces."
"No one said anything about building and training troops in the death sea. We can do all of that here, and then teleport them to Ruris’s waters using the bay’s array. It consumes a ton of mana for one teleportation, but I bet we can charge it. We have you and many other people blessed with too much mana."
Arad smiled, "So I’m just a battery?"
"Come on, you’re more than that." Jasmine looked back at Cerilla and Dalla, "Sadly, we have to wait a bit now. The servants need time to get ready to leave. Just a couple of hours would do."
She approached her desk and sat down. "In the meantime, I’ll get a few things ready."
"Then I’ll be sitting here." Arad sat with Cerilla and Dalla, and with that, time flew away rapidly.
Three hours later, Arad looked up, "Fine." He waved his hand, and D appeared in front of him with a pale face. She looked around, finally feeling relieved to be back on earth.
"I’ll never set a fucking toe on the moon again." She looked at Arad with a tired face. "You really don’t know how to pick women, do you?"
"It’s not your problem." Arad waved his hand.
"D," Jasmine called her, "How did it go? Did you learn anything?"
"Let’s just say I’d rather forget what I’ve learned. But since the goddess of magic didn’t show up to kill me, then I’m fine." She lay on the ground, looking at the ceiling. "Fucking Amaterasu, she didn’t just kill her younger brother Tsukuyomi. She ripped his body to pieces and scattered it across the whole universe. Each moon has a piece of his flesh sealed inside its core."
Jasmine frowned, "Are you sure she killed him? Human also scatter the ashes of their loved one when asked. She could’ve just been doing the same. Just imagine saying that a woman burned her brother to ash and scattered his remains across a thousand peaks. Depending on how you look at it, it could mean different things."
"I don’t know. I didn’t dig deep enough." D looked at Arad, "Your husband here has his other woman living on the moon, and she kept her eyes on me the whole time."
Arad looked at her with a smile, "If Lunara did that, it means you weren’t up to anything good."
D sighed, "You don’t know how bad it was. My magic is similar to Tsukuyomi’s. If I perfected it, I might’ve become the vessel for a long-dead god." She then looked at Jasmine, "That means I’ll die as well. Of course, unless I get approval from Luna herself to use her grandfather’s magic."
"So Lunara and Luna gave you two options: bend over or die." Arad sighed, and D looked at him with a frown.
"Not everyone like you can kill a god. In fact, how much would it cost to have you kill Luna for me?"
Arad laughed, "Forget it. I’m not fighting a god unless I have to. The god of war had to die, and that’s why I fought him."
"Come on, I know you can do it."
As the two talked, Jasmine sighed, "D, the important matters. What did you learn, besides the lore about the gods?"
"The moon is far smaller than our world, it has weaker gravity and no air to breathe. But with enough magic, building a city there might not be a dream. Of course, that relies on our free and fast ride to the moon." She looked at Arad.
"For my magic, I learned more things." She lifted her hand and waved her fingers around, drawing a full moon with glowing blue magic. "For now, I’ve got the inspiration to write one spell."
She looked at Arad, "You look like a hard nut to crack. Mind if I test it on you?"
Arad smiled and stood, "No matter what you’ll do. Someone dropped a moon on my head and it didn’t kill me."
D stood and frowned, "If someone dropped a moon on you, the world would’ve shattered."
"The world I was in shattered, a whole continent sank." Arad cracked his neck and extended his hand to her. "Where should we go?"
D tapped her staff on the ground with a smile, "Don’t worry, I’ll teleport us."
She, Arad, Cerilla, Dalla, and Jasmine teleported away, landing on a large golden beach at the edges of the Dark Elves’ kingdom.
"It might be moon magic, but it’s both a gravity and water spell. Get ready to get wet." She started floating beneath the sky, and the silhouette of a moon made of pure magic appeared behind her back.
"Oh! Great silver moon, proud and mighty, pull on mother earth and shake her torrents out." She lifted the staff with both hands, ready to swing it down.
