The Editor Is An Extra-Chapter 108: Mid terms 4
As the students rushed towards the not so massive exit of the massive stadium, a giant crystal appeared high up above the stadium. The crystal lit up, and let out multiple frames of projections, each projecting different landscapes across the pocket dimension, with some even following after some popular students.
"Hey, Emmett." A guy sitting at the side of the dark haired man said. "Wasn’t that your infamous kid brother down there?" What the guy wanted to say was ’useless kid brother’, but he knew better than to call a Darkfell useless in Emmett’s presence.
Emmett turned to gaze at the guy, with no expression on his face whatsoever. The guy slightly shrank back, but still kept a smile on his face, until Emmett turned away once more.
"Do you think any one of the twins would reach the semi- finals of the tournament?" A silver haired beauty sitting at the other side of Emmett asked. Emmett turned to her, a slight smile appearing on his lips.
"If you had asked me that question a few weeks back," Emmett paused. "Then I would have said with certainty that it is a forgone conclusion that my dear sister would, but my dear brother on the other hand wouldn’t make it."
He turned back to the projections.
"Now, however, I’m not sure. Rose would still definitely reach the semi- finals, maybe even the finals, Damon on the other hand, we just have to wait and see. It’s not like we’re going anywhere now, are we?" he turned back to her with a soft smile.
’Yes, show me more of what you’re hiding dear brother.’ Emmett fixed his gaze back on the projections. ’For your sake, I hope it’s entertaining enough.’

At the instructors designated seating area meanwhile, "Who do you think will win in this egg seeking challenge?" An instructor asked.
"Hard to say. It’s not all about combat, it depends on how great one’s luck is." another replied.
"Okay, how about in the overall practical exams, including the tournament?" The first instructor pushed.
"Alistair Von Drake would win." A melodious voice interrupted them in a matter of fact tone. They both turned behind them, and there on the seat a step above, was their fellow instructor, Instructor Summers.
"Your student?" The moustached man beside her raised a brow.
"Wow, Liz, you sure have a lot of trust in your homeroom students." Another man with a buzz cut, sitting next to instructor Black quipped.
Instructor Summers was the homeroom instructor of class 1- beta. She turned to the man with the buzz cut. "I was only stating facts, and besides, talking about homeroom, your class, 1- Delta doesn’t posses any chance of winning either, Instructor Lee."
"How would they?" Instructor Lee snickered. "Most of those damn well talented kids were put in 1-Alpha."
"Yeah." Instructor Black grinned. "Those kids are damn well talented. Sorry not sorry that your sorry asses are jealous."
"I’m not jealous." instructor Summers was quick to refute. "My student will win the entire practical exam, so I have no reason to be."
"The kid with the omega ranked physique?" Instructor Lee raised a brow.
"Yeah." Instructor Summers smiled. "I took him under my wing, while Edmond was too busy not caring." she smirked. "Maybe it’s you that’s actually jealous, Edmond." She jabbed at the moustached man.
"Why would I be jealous?" instructor Black scoffed. "You of all people know that the mortality rate of geniuses has always been high. What if I had taken him as my student, heavily invested in him, only for him to die in some minor skirmish. All my investments would go down the drain."
"You’re right on that one." Instructor Lee seconded.
"Whatever, your loss Edmond." Instructor Summers.
"What are you so smug about, Liz?" Instructor Black’s lips widened into a grin. "I know my students best, and I assure you, your so called protegé isn’t going to win this, of that much I’m sure."
"How about a bet then?" She turned to him.
"Hohoho, I’m definitely in on this." Instructor Lee chuckled. After him, multiple instructors also voiced their agreements.
"Fine then," Instructor Black said, with his grin still plastered on his face. "Since you’re voting on your protegé, I’m voting on the rank 1, Anastasia Necron."
"You know what? I’m on your side, Liz." Instructor Lee grinned.
So, that was how a betting pool was created at the instructors sitting area.

The air whipped past Damon as he fell from the sky, desperately trying to steady himself but failing.
How did it get to this? one would wonder. Well, we’ll have to go back to half an hour ago for that.
After he sped out of the stadium, he disappeared into the wild, whose immediate landscape was a chain of mountains.
From the novel, he knew where to look for eggs, but didn’t know the specific places they’d be in. For example, in this mountain chain, most eggs would be hidden in creases, or grooves, along the sides of the mountain, or even in caves.
Damon didn’t waste time, and began climbing a mountain with extreme efficiency. In less than ten minutes, he found a small crack along the side of a mountain.
Damon slipped into the crack, but unfortunately, someone was already ahead of him. Inside the crack, was a smiling youth holding on to two multicolored eggs, each at least twice the size of a basketball.
The youth’s expression soon changed upon noticing Damon. His hands clutched onto the eggs protectively.
Damon smiled.
"What bad luck you have young man. Now, would you be kind as to give me those eggs?" He extended his arm to the youth.
The youth hesitated, unsure of what to do. On one hand, if he gave away the eggs, he would be back to ground zero, on the other hand however, if he refused, he would have to fight this mad man. And honestly, he knew there was no chance in hell he was winning against Damon.
"Give me the eggs, and I’ll let you go." Damon continued. "There’s also option two." He smiled. "Violent dismemberment."
The knees of the youth that was hesitating between two options, grew weak. He hurriedly stammered. "I’ll... I’ll give them to you."
"Wise choice." Damon nodded. Damon collected the two eggs, and sent the youth out of the crack.
"Wow, it’s only been eight minutes, and I already have two eggs." Damon mused.
Damon secured the eggs into his spatial ring, and moved on. He continued climbing up the mountain for the next twenty minutes or so, but unfortunately didn’t find another egg, even in cracks along the side of the mountain.
"Those that came before me, most likely already swept this place." He mused. Even though the others didn’t know where the eggs would be hidden, it was common sense to look for them at places that looked sus after all.
Damon contemplated whether to go down the mountain, and climb another one. But in the end, he chose to keep climbing. The moment he got to the top of the mountain however, a powerful stream of lightning bolted towards him at speeds he had a trouble reacting to, since he wasn’t on his feet.
CRAKAKAKA!
A searing and jolting pain ignited Damon’s nerves as the beam struck him, and knocked him far back from the side of the mountain. And for the briefest of moments, before his descent began, he caught glimpse of the purple eyes, and rugged up lips of a certain Stormbreaker youth.
"Curse you, Levi!" He hissed even through the pain as he began descending down.
’Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!’ Damon inwardly cursed he tried to stabilize himself mid air, but kept failing. The air yanking, and whipping past him wasn’t helping either.
He knew that were he to hit the ground at his current velocity, he would turn to gore, or perhaps blood mist, the moment he impacted the ground.
The height from which he fell was very high after all. The mountain peak was well above the clouds. And since they couldn’t die during the test, he would be teleported at the last moment. But that also meant he would be eliminated.
His velocity continued to increase as he fell through the air.
"Think think think!" he muttered as he rapidly approached the ground. ’Wait...’ a thought suddenly occured to him. ’I could do ’that’.’
Two reflections appeared beside him, also falling down at the same speed.
As the ground approached, the two reflections suddenly held onto the main body, and threw him up as hard as they both could, so much that his body made a streak in the air.
The main body’s momentum ended up stopping, and even reversing, but at that cost, the momentum of the two reflections accelerated downwards even faster than before.
They hit the ground in less than a second. Damon’s main body meanwhile, hit the ground a second after they did, but had to transition into a roll, meat he shattered the bones in his legs.
"WOOOOOAAAAAAAAAH!" In the viewing stands back at the stadium, cheers erupted as a projection showed the entirety of Damon’s feat, especially among the second years. Emmett meanwhile, merely smiled.
"That’s one of my best students!" Instructor Black roared, among the instructors.
"..."
"...Ahem" the moustached man blinked, as he felt the gazes of all the other instructors on him.
