Chapter 338: SS1: New Chapter Begins (2)

As they stopped at a huge door, Arren gestured for the elderly woman. Mildren looked at him with a slightly puzzled expression.

Arren smiled, understanding at a glance what she wanted to ask. "You can just meet him alone, Auntie."

Auntie Mildred was clearly taken aback by this, but Arren quickly interrupted her, who was about to say something.

His smile only widened, and he placed Mildred’s hand on the door handle. He patted the back of her hand and continued, "Don’t worry, Auntie. He... has been waiting to meet you."

Mildred seemed not to be aware of the weight of Arren’s words yet, but she would soon understand them.

Like he said, Arren didn’t enter the room and only followed Mildred’s back with his gaze. A few seconds later, the door closed tightly. Arren didn’t immediately leave; he stared at the closed door for a while before he turned around and left.

In fact, he lied. He was supposed to be with them, but he thought that they would be more comfortable without him there. At least, the whole attention was on Auntie Mildred. Thinking of this, he chuckled lightly. He would just apologize later for leading her into the hot seat.

Arren definitely forgot to tell her Spade was not the only one there, his father was also inside. Nothing could be done; he really forgot to mention it. Really.

A moment later, Arren halted his steps just as the sun was about to shine against his skin. His gaze landed on the field outside through the windows. It was the same serene scene, yet there was a significant increase of people in the palace.

Each time he saw the guests arriving one after another, Arren was always reminded that... Really, one of the most important days of his life would happen in just a few days!

Just the thought of this made him thrilled, but at the same time, there was also a little anxiety that crept inside of him. It wasn’t that he wasn’t sure of this wedding, but that... the prospect of finally being married to the alpha he loved after what they had been through, especially from their first life.

They were now here... about to officially enter the next Chapter of their lives. It felt so unreal for some reason. Sometimes, Arren always reflects on himself and the doubts that sprouted one after another after they planned the wedding.

Yet, at the end of the day, Spade was always with him. He was always there to ease his worries about the unpredictable future.

Arren bit his lips and subconsciously touched his nape, where the alpha’s permanent mark was, to calm himself.

He thought of himself over a year ago, when Arren resumed his studies and decided to graduate first before their wedding. Spade was also very supportive of it, but the wedding plans continued as planned.

Arren also continued with his psychological treatment, which was gradually healing the scars that were embedded in his soul. He was also aware that Spade’s agreement to him delaying the marriage also had something to do with it, more than the matter of his graduation.

Honestly, his reasons were mostly because of it too.

He wanted to open the next Chapter of his life without a huge burden, and the baggage of his past would be left behind completely.

Arren’s mind wandered for a while, reminiscing on the events of the past year.

"Did I mature this much?" Arren’s brows raised, seemingly surprised. However, he soon shrugged and continued leisurely with a chuckle. "If Rave heard me, he’s the one who will argue against me."

He was still Arren; not much had changed aside from him being a little more careful. He was not alone anymore, and he was about to shoulder a huge responsibility in a few days.

He laughed and decided to find the omega who was being busy instead of him, welcoming his guests instead of him. These guests were Ramon and his squad. Of course, Arren had not forgotten his so-called friends either. They were loyal to him at least, and since Arren was about to be the empress, having more friends could be of some help... hopefully.

"How irresponsible of you..."

Arren could not help but laugh as he imagined this Rave saying at his face in a gentle tone filled with contempt.

No matter what, the days continued to move forward for the better. And Arren knew it would only get better from now on.

And just like that, days passed, and the special day finally arrived.

The Day of the Wedding.

The empire had officially entered a festive moment, but it also became more alert than ever. This was an event that was special not only for the soon-to-be newlyweds but also for the whole empire.

The emperor was about to marry his empress, the moon of the empire. Obviously, it was an occasion worth calling a national holiday. Most major roads were closed, with a few routes being an exception. The citizens had long been advised not to leave their homes lest they would be inconvenienced on the roads.

However, the empire had a lot of extreme royalists, and this event was also important to them. The roads leading to the imperial plaza, where the wedding would be held, were already packed with people. They wanted to witness such a historical event.

At this point, the palace did not take action to stop them but just deployed more security to supervise the event. Anyone knew that it would be impossible to stop anyone wanting to witness the emperor’s grand wedding.

It was not only the empire’s citizens, but a lot of tourists had arrived in the capital city, challenging the security even more.

The event, which was attended by the most influential world leaders and individuals, was about to commence; no one wanted to miss it. The wedding was also broadcast worldwide and live streamed on social media.

Soon, cars and convoys transporting the guests began to pass by and arrive at the venue. The Imperial Plaza was decorated and renovated according to the theme but retained the solemnity that was necessary.

The colors red and white dominated the whole plaza, and flowers of different variations spread through the venue, making the whole place seem like a huge garden.

It seemed it was such a case, as a huge glass dome encompassed the wedding venue, serving as the roof. It was as though one had entered a majestic greenhouse garden. Occasionally, butterflies began to fly around, adding a vibrant atmosphere to the already magical place.

As one trailed through the flower path, the seats were arranged neatly at each side, but one immediately noticed where the seats faced, encircling the center of the huge garden.

At the center, one could see a platform with a flat surface, four pillars at each corner, and a table decorated with cups and cakes resembling a tea party.

If one looked at a vantage point, one would notice that the center was the very important piece of such a huge garden, and the surrounding seats were there only to witness the center table.

The guests and even the audiences from all over the world had no idea what it symbolized and thought that the theme was a bit unique. They all thought of the future empress as the one who wanted such a setup.

No one knew, however, how such a simple table was so significant for the soon-to-be married couple.

A similar table witnessed their beginning, and it would also witness their next Chapter.

The time was fast approaching, and soon, the crowd on the streets became excited and pulled out their phones. A familiar convoy with the flag of the emperor passed by, and everyone took a video of it.

The broadcast also became focused on the convoy, which soon stopped at the entrance of the plaza. Under everyone’s gazes, the royal guards around stood straight and saluted the alpha, who was about to get out of the car.

Even those officials already inside the venue stood respectfully, waiting for the arrival of the supreme ruler. A moment of silence began to permeate in the air, even to those watching the broadcast.

Instinctively, they couldn’t help but pay their respects, even if the monarch was so far away from them.

Not long after, the car’s door in the center opened from the inside. Under the respectful gazes of everyone, an imposing alpha climbed out of the car. Eveyrone’s gazes and the camera were on him, fixing their attention on him as if it were only natural to do so.

Wearing a royal suit of gold and white with medals ornamenting his chest, Spade, the emperor of the empire, stood dominantly in front of the saluting royal guards and the gazes of the whole world.

His hair was neatly styled, showing his forehead, which emphasized Spade’s unrealistic facial features. His amber eyes glistened with emotion as he glanced at everyone.

Taking a deep breath, he began walking inside, occasionally shaking hands with the important guests that he passed by. At the end of the aisle, where the resting platform was, he made eye contact with the Mother Empress Liviera.

When their eyes met, Liviera’s eyes watered for a moment, and his heart was overwhelmed with emotions.

As they got closer, Spade took the initiative and embraced his omega father, who also responded tightly. Such emotional scenes were captured for everyone to see.

Instantly dispelling any dispute rumors among the royal family.

Spade then shook hands with Duke Katz, Arren’s father. Their eyes seemed to converse for a moment before nodding at each other. Spade then took his position as a groom at the center.

His eyes landed at the door; different emotions welled up, but he held it in.

Now, he only had to wait. For his omega, Spade could wait... even for a lifetime.

Of course, he didn’t need to wait a lifetime for Arren this time.

Arren, who was always late for his appointments, could not afford to be late for his special day.

It was not long after Spade arrived at the venue that Arren’s convoy also departed the palace. His hands were wet, but strangely enough, despite being nervous the night before, Arren found himself so calm.

Perhaps it was the thought of Spade waiting for him that lessened his anxiety. The alpha was with him, there was no need to become so nervous too much.

Not to mention, his family and friends were also there. Arren was not too concerned with cameras either.

When his car passed by the huge crowd, screaming for his name, Arren’s lips curled slightly. It was real, soon... He was officially the empress.

Thinking of that, Arren anticipated the new experiences his future life would give him. However, before that, the present was more important.

The venue became more vigorous, and a signal of the arrival of the soon-to-be empress resounded.

At the center, if one had focused on him, one would see how Spade let out a deep breath. The alpha even straightened his suit, no matter how neat it was.

Oh, so... he was nervous as well. They would probably think that.

After a few minutes, the royal guards also took another stance of respectful salute. The camera focused on the car, just like Spade’s.

Inside, Arren swallowed and took a deep breath. And then, with a smile, as the car door was opened for him, Arren exited the car.

A beautiful omega soon graced everyone’s sight. His smile seemed so captivating that anyone would be drawn in with a thought. Arren was a bit different from Spade’s dominant entrance; he appeared more amicable as he gave a sweet smile to the royal guards and the audience watching the broadcast.

Arren, wearing a pure white suit embroidered with a small golden pattern of a crescent moon at the chest. Other than that, his hair was dyed blonde, emphasizing his features.

He fully embraced who he was, not letting anyone criticize his habit of dyeing his hair. It was also styled with a few strands of his hair that fell on his forehead.

Holding a small bouquet of red roses, Arren began to enter the wedding venue. Followed by the gazes of everyone in the world, he calmly trailed the flower path.

In such a majestic greenhouse garden, Arren’s attire seemed not out of place in the slightest. It even gave off the impression that the owner of the fairy garden had arrived.

He slowly walked forward, taking his time and glancing at the garden resembling their own. Arren did not seem to care about the people watching him as he leisurely took his pace.

Arren really did not. There was only one gaze he wanted to fix on him at this moment.

And soon, Arren subconsciously stopped in his tracks, his eyes glancing forward, finally meeting the familiar gaze. Their eyes met, seemingly talking with each other.

The whole venue, despite the huge attendees, or the viewers outside, seemed to disappeared. At that moment, they could only see each other.

Spade and Arren, with a few steps of distance from each other, seemed to read what they wanted to say. Their emotions intertwined as they both smiled.

The smile was captured on the camera, and in the broadcast, they even showed the faces of the two side by side.

The love and emotions they held for one another appeared to the world, bringing butterflies to the viewers.

Arren nodded and laughed, continuing to walk slowly, deliberately teasing Spade. Spade, too, could not help but chuckle at his antics. He did not do anything but watch and wait.

As he said, he was ready to wait for his omega.

Arren, looking at his alpha, with them being the center of attention, recalls something.

Gripping the bouquet, he laughed and walked a little faster, eager to arrive in front of Spade.

This time, as the next Chapter opened, Arren finally confirmed himself. He was not an extra. Arren was never merely an extra in his life.

Soon, Arren arrived in front of Spade, the alpha could not help but embrace him. This action earned a few laughs from the audience, but the two did not care.

Right. How can the emperor’s omega be an extra?
