Chapter 2500: I am leaving

Silence reigned for a brief moment.

The auras of the Eternal Soul King and the Nirvana Crown Prince seemed to freeze in midair as the two powerhouses stared at one another across the battlefield.

Then, in the next instant, both of their powers exploded with overwhelming might.

The formations covering the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold activated at once. Massive runic arrays ignited across the fortress walls, generating a crushing gravitational seal that descended upon the figure of the Eternal Soul King.

Using that brief opening, the Nirvana Crown Prince moved.

His figure flashed forward like lightning.

Rebirth Flames ignited around his leg, while the fragments of the Sacred Treasure he carried surged with power. His kick lashed out like a blazing whip, striking directly toward the face of the Eternal Soul King.

"BOOM!"

An explosion echoed through the sky.

The head of the Eternal Soul King burst apart like a balloon filled with blood.

For a split second, the battlefield froze.

The Nirvana Crown Prince’s eyes widened as a flash of horror crossed his face.

Of course, he would be more than happy to kill Sharka—but he knew it could never be that easy.

Which meant only one thing.

"A trap."

The thought had barely formed in his mind when Sharka suddenly appeared above him.

A sphere of sky-blue energy materialized between the Eternal Soul King’s hands. The sphere vibrated violently before releasing its power in a single devastating attack.

A massive beam of burning soul plasma descended toward the Crown Prince.

The Nirvana Crown Prince barely had time to react.

He crossed his wings in front of his body just as the beam struck him.

The impact blasted him downward like a meteor, sending his body crashing into the stronghold below.

Fortunately, the defensive force field surrounding the fortress intercepted the beam before it could drive him into the ground.

A cold smile appeared on Sharka’s face.

However, that smile quickly vanished.

Hundreds of spears made of blazing plasma were already flying toward him.

These were the same weapons that had previously targeted the Red King, but this time they were far more numerous and far more powerful. Their purpose now was not to repel the enemy but to kill him outright.

Sharka’s eyes sharpened.

With astonishing precision and flawless martial skill, he began dodging the incoming spears of energy one after another. His movements were so smooth that it almost seemed like a dance across the battlefield.

Yet even he could not remain exposed forever.

After evading the barrage, Sharka quickly retreated to the safety of his army.

Immediately, massive defensive shields rose across the battalions of the Eternal Soul Kingdom.

The energy spears crashed against those barriers, detonating in bursts of blinding light.

At the same time, enormous siege weapons positioned behind the army fired their own attacks.

"BOOOOM!"

"BOOOOM!"

"BOOOOM!"

Explosion after explosion struck the protective barrier surrounding the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold.

The sky filled with waves of color as countless energies collided in the air. It was a magnificent and terrifying sight.

But for the warriors of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom, it was also deeply unsettling.

The Nirvana Crown Prince rose from the ground a moment later.

Burn wounds covered his body, but the Rebirth Flames surrounding him were already repairing the damage at an astonishing speed, demonstrating the terrifying regenerative abilities of his bloodline.

He clenched his fists as he looked toward the distant battlefield.

"Dammit!" he cursed.

"I was so close."

He already possessed the fragment he needed to secure victory in the campaign against the Eighth Realm. Yet now the enemy army was knocking on his door, leaving him no room to retreat.

"That is a very large army," a calm voice suddenly echoed nearby. "And they seem very committed. You have a long battle ahead."

The Nirvana Crown Prince’s eyes twitched.

He immediately turned around.

Standing among the gathered Royal Blutlinie was the Red King.

His sudden appearance shocked everyone present.

Kyra and the other Knights of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom stared at him in disbelief. None of them had sensed his arrival.

If he had chosen to attack instead of speaking, several of them would already be dead.

Unlike the cautious fear in the hearts of his warriors, the only emotion burning within the Nirvana Crown Prince right now was rage.

"Did you reveal the presence of the fragment?" he demanded.

The only other person who knew about the chest armor inside the stronghold was the Red King.

Naturally, suspicion fell upon him.

When Kyra and the other knights heard the accusation, they immediately stepped back and began circling the Red King.

Even though his aura terrified them, they were members of a fierce warrior race. They forced down their fear and focused entirely on the possibility of battle.

Cain noticed their movements.

But he only smiled.

"Your force field blocks all communication from leaving the stronghold," Cain said calmly. "And I am sure you had multiple surveillance arrays monitoring my every move."

His smile widened slightly.

"I am equally certain you found nothing—because I did nothing."

The Nirvana Crown Prince frowned.

The Red King was telling the truth.

He had carefully monitored the man ever since he entered the stronghold and had not detected any attempt at communication.

Of course, that did not mean it was impossible.

There were countless Ancestor Powers throughout Paradise capable of bypassing such restrictions.

However, based on everything the Crown Prince had observed, the Red King’s abilities seemed overwhelmingly offensive in nature rather than auxiliary.

Cain appeared completely unconcerned about the analysis taking place in the Crown Prince’s mind.

He glanced briefly toward the distant army before returning his gaze to the young prince.

"The only reason I remained here was that you feared I might reveal the existence of the treasure," Cain said casually.

His tone remained calm.

"Now that the secret is already out, there is no reason for me to stay."

He turned around.

"So I am leaving."

However, the moment he tried to walk away, Kyra and the other knights stepped forward, blocking his path.

Cain slowly turned his head toward them.

His eyes began to glow.

Within the minds of everyone present, two massive flaming scarlet eyes suddenly appeared. They resembled endless vortices capable of devouring both mind and soul.

"Of course," Cain said calmly, "I could also kill a few of you on my way out."

His smile widened slightly.

"I could use the exercise."
