The Evil Lord's Wife Has Spirit Blood-Chapter 315
Seeing Michelle summon more living bows, Alexander summoned his shadow essence.
The next moment, it flew at Michelle at high speed.
Reacting quickly, Michelle wrapped Tenether in void and he flapped his wings, flying to the side. Because the void was speeding him up, he was able to avoid the attack, though only barely.
Looking back at the place where Alexander attacked, Michelle’s eyes widened.
The shadow essence spread out into a massive sphere that trapped the living bows.
In the first place, Alexander’s target wasn’t her but the bows. He just wanted to make it seem like she was his target so the bows wouldn’t have time to react.
Even though she didn’t like the turn of events, Michelle knew she stood no chance against Alexander. In both the moves he made against her, he was holding back, even if he was angry. And she was still unable to even graze him while he trapped her bows.
If Alexander used the full extent of his powers, she would be dead on the spot. She wouldn’t even know how she died.
Still, there was one way she could land a strike. As far as she knew, Alexander had never seen her use that method, so he shouldn’t be able to predict it.
Patting Tenether, Michelle whispered something.
The next moment, not caring about the audience beneath them, Tenether started transforming.
In the process, his body went non-solid and Michelle fell through headfirst. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Alexander’s eyes widened when he saw that, but he didn’t move to catch Michelle. He wanted to see what she was planning.
The people below screamed in shock when they saw a figure falling from the sky.
And they were even more shocked when the black bird in the sky transformed into a huge feline and started falling too.
As Tenether fell, he turned back down. Being heavier than Michelle, he fell faster.
When he reached her, he bit down on her clothes and pulled her to him so Michelle could grab onto the fur on his neck.
When she did so, he twisted back so he would land on his feet. Holding onto Tenether’s neck, Michelle basically sat on his back, holding on tight.
All that was done within a split second before the huge black cat landed on the ground, a young silver-haired woman on its back.
The people nearby stepped back, not wanting to get involved in the fight. It was clear the man up in the sky was much more powerful than what they could handle.
Patting Tenether’s back again, Michelle looked up at Alexander.
Tenether let out a purr before jumping up. He had transformed into a feline with powerful legs that was able to jump high. But Alexander didn’t know that.
So he was completely taken by surprise when Michelle suddenly flew at him from down below.
Fascinated by her method, he forgot to dodge and ended up punched in the face.
At the same time, Michelle wrapped her other arm around his neck and shoulders, basically hanging off him. She didn’t yet feel like falling back down.
Alexander rubbed his face, not really expecting such force from Michelle. He felt like his jaw was dislocated.
Seeing that, even Michelle was surprised. She knew that to dislocate a normal person’s jaw, she wouldn’t need all that much strength. But Alexander was a cultivator of a rank far above hers. His resistance should have protected him.
That made Michelle raise a brow. Just how did she manage to dislocate his jaw?
The only answer she could think of was that absorbing the three Life Stones had increased her strength.
But she didn’t see that when she was checking herself before crossing to the upper realm. Did that mean she gained the new strength from the third Life Stone she absorbed?
While Michelle was hanging from Alexander like baggage, Tenether landed back on the ground, looking up.
Noticing the people nearby, he let out an annoyed snarl, warning them not to get closer. Just like his contracted master, he didn’t like being near big groups of people.
Back in the sky, Alexander was looking at Michelle while she was deep in thought.
Noticing that, she snapped back to reality and looked at him.
Seeing his dislocated jaw, she reached out her free hand and pulled on his jaw, putting it back in place.
"That hurt..." Alexander rubbed his jaw.
Michelle rolled her eyes. "You didn’t answer my question."
Alexander nearly burst out laughing. Then, he looked down at the Ostrich family below and Tenether near them. "Let’s go elsewhere."
With that, he flew with Michelle back into the forest.
When Alexander landed in the forest, Michelle let go of him and looked around. Within just a few seconds, a small black cat jumped into her arms.
Tenether shrunk so the members of the Ostrich family couldn’t follow him.
With Tenether back in her arms, Michelle looked at Alexander. "So, how are you able to feel my presence? And what was that for?" The second question was clearly about why Alexander suddenly dragged her above the clearing where the Ostrich children were resting.
Alexander smiled. But it wasn’t a kind smile. Instead, it was a cold and calculating one. "Surely if some of them saw you now, they would later be able to connect you with Ana Ostrich. So you will have to keep your distance from them."
Hearing that, Michelle frowned. "So you are trying to isolate me..." She narrowed her eyes, clearly unhappy.
Seeing that, Alexander’s smile widened. "Of course. What else did you expect?"
Michelle furrowed her brows, refusing to answer that.
So Alexander continued. "I think I’ve always made my intentions quite clear." His posture was relaxed. "I will make you mine."
Hearing that, Michelle wasn’t all that sure. She still sometimes found Alexander hard to tolerate. She couldn’t imagine herself ever being all lovey-dovey with him. Just the thought of it repulsed her.
But she couldn’t imagine herself being lovey-dovey with anyone. She just wasn’t the type of person to do that.
Seeing Michelle’s expression, Alexander couldn’t hide the mirth in his eyes. The fact that he could infuriate Michelle without doing much was warming his heart.
Noticing Alexander’s smile, Michelle’s eyes narrowed. "Anyways, back to the first question! Why are you able to sense me even though the Heavenly Law ignores me? And that counts for Noctis and Unlucien too? Why were all three of you able to spot me without any effort?"
Alexander knew that Michelle wouldn’t let up. He had to finally answer, though he quite liked how annoyed she was by the fact that she didn’t know the answer.
"The Heavenly Law can’t fool monsters and Shadow Masters as much as others," he said simply.
Michelle lifted a brow. "How is the Heavenly Law fooling people?" she asked. She didn’t have enough knowledge to understand what Alexander was saying.
So Alexander explained, "For example, by hiding away creatures like you. Since the Heavenly Law ignores you, others also can’t see you. It puts a veil over their eyes. But that veil has a much smaller effect on monsters, and nearly no effect on Shadow Masters. That’s why me and all my subordinates will be able to spot you."
Hearing that, Michelle was fairly surprised. She didn’t know the Heavenly Law had preferences like that.
For a while more, Michelle asked Alexander things about the Heavenly Law before Noctis appeared above them. "The Ostrich family is starting to search for Milady!"
Hearing that, Michelle quickly put on her disguise mask and slammed her face into a tree a few times to create bruises.
No one stopped her. They knew it was for her plan.
Finally, to prevent her healing abilities from messing up the plan, she put her ice element spirit energy into the wounds, preventing healing.
It was a method inspired by the moment when the Silent Bastard bit her. The poison on its teeth formed a net within her wound that destroyed any new flesh that grew too close to the wound.
She did just that with her bruises. The ice element spirit energy formed thin nets which prevented the bruises from disappearing.
When Michelle heard voices approaching from the distance, shouting for Ana, she smiled a bit. Then, she looked at Alexander.
She had already told him about the plan, so he knew what to do.
Clenching his hand into a fist, he landed a punch on Michelle’s stomach and a few on her sides. Then, Michelle sat down under a tree, waiting for someone to find her, and everyone else disappeared. As for Tenether, Michelle sent him back into her space.
Lastly, to make sure she could be seen, Michelle put her shadow essence into her shadow and made it quiver gently. That gave her some presence to be noticed.
Curling up against the tree, she waited motionless until she heard a gasp. "Lady Ana!" Michelle didn’t know the person, but she had heard the voice. It belonged to one of the girls that rode in the carriage just behind the carriage she was in.
Opening her eyes and lifting her head to look at the girl, she effectively revealed her bruised face.
"Who did this to you?" the girl asked in concern, quickly coming over to help Michelle stand up.
But as Alexander didn’t hold back when punching her, Michelle was barely able to stand, and her whole weight ended up on the girl helping her. They both fell.
