The Evil Lord's Wife Has Spirit Blood-Chapter 350
In the Ostrich Academy, when Michelle didn’t return to the training grounds for a few days, Lucas started getting worried.
Even if she got pulled into the body-tempering space, she wouldn’t have stayed there that long?
So where was she?
Knowing she was staying in the dorm of Antony’s students, Lucas went to him.
After hearing what happened, Antony also got suspicious, so he called one of his female students.
It was the girl he asked to give Michelle the keys to her dorm room.
"Teacher, you called for me?" she quickly came over.
Antony nodded.
"Go to Ana Ostrich’s dorm to check if she’s there. If she doesn’t respond, just barge in." With that, Antony gave the girl a spare key.
The girl didn’t know what was going on, but she understood that it had to be serious.
It was extremely rare for a teacher to give someone permission to barge into someone’s room, not to mention encourage it.
So she didn’t question anything and went back to the dorms.
Quickly, she ran to the rooms far in the back and stopped in front of Michelle’s door.
Knocking gently, no response came.
So she knocked harder, but still nothing.
"Lady Ana!" she spoke, knocking harder.
When that didn’t work, she raised her voice to a near shout.
A moment later, she was already banging on the door, hoping she wouldn’t have to barge in only to find something terrible.
Though Michelle, as Ana, was keeping a low profile thanks to her nonexistent presence, most students were already aware of her existence in the sect, and speculations about her identity were being made.
In the end, she got accepted without going through the tests.
And having heard the speculations, the girl was scared of what she would see if she unlocked the door.
But when she heard no sound from the room even after banging hard on the door, she had to take out the key Antony gave her and sink it into the keyhole.
Twisting it slowly, the girl hesitated to open the door, but finally did it.
Her gaze swept over the room, and she suddenly wasn’t sure what to think.
Was Ana Ostrich just the type of person who left a mess in her room, or did someone break in?
The girl didn’t dare make assumptions.
She just took mental notes of everything she saw as she stepped inside.
"Lady Ana?" she raised her voice again, looking around.
The room was in a terrible state.
Things scattered around on the floor, like someone was frantically searching for something.
That wasn’t left behind by someone who kept their room a mess.
After confirming that Michelle wasn’t in the room, the girl walked towards the bathroom.
Opening the door with dreadful tightness in her chest, she froze when her gaze landed on the state of the bathroom.
Stumbling out of the room in shock, the girl managed to lock the door and rushed back to Antony, her face pale.
"Teacher!" she panted from running and shock, her fingers trembling as she returned the key.
"The– The–" she couldn’t even speak properly.
Seeing the state the girl was in, Antony had her sit down and gave her a glass of water.
"Don’t worry about it. I’ll have someone check it."
It wasn’t hard to tell that something must have been terribly wrong with the room even without the girl saying anything.
Antony didn’t want his student to get further traumatized by recounting what she had seen.
The girl grabbed Antony by his sleeve. "Teacher! There was blood!" she finally got out of herself, her eyes wide.
Antony raised a brow.
He was sure the girl in front of him had already seen blood and death, even killings, so why was she so terrified of the blood in Michelle’s room?
The only explanation was that something was more than terribly wrong.
Looking at Lucas, Antony was worried about his disciple. "Lucas, take her to John and have him look after her. I’ll go check the room."
Lucas nodded and tried to take the girl to the healer facility.
But from her shock, she couldn’t even get up and just trembled on the spot.
Seeing that, Lucas summoned his contracted beast, a small bird. Taking out a piece of paper, he wrote something on it and gave it to the bird.
The bird then flew off: to the healer facility to find John.
It was a fast messenger bird Lucas bought at a Beast Tamer Master guild.
Various tamed beasts could be bought and contracted there.
As a person relying mostly on physical attacks, Lucas didn’t really need a contract beast, but a smart and fast messenger bird was a necessity for a teacher.
Exactly for situations like the one he was in at the moment.
Actually, all teachers in the academy had something they could use for instant communication.
And not only them, Beast Tamer Master guilds were making quite the profit by selling messenger beasts.
After a while, John came to Lucas, seeing the girl next to him, trembling like a leaf.
Quickly, he started tending to her.
Seeing that she was in good hands, Lucas quickly went to the council building to report what had happened to the headmaster, Francis Ostrich.
Things concerning Ana Ostrich had to be reported straight to him, even if the situation was still unclear.
While Lucas was on his way to Francis, Antony was already by the dorm building.
Usually, teachers didn’t enter the buildings, but all students, maybe except the new ones, knew that if a teacher came, something was going on, and they should be compliant, helping if they were asked to.
Antony passed by the surprised students and went straight towards Michelle’s dorm room.
Stopping in front of it, he unlocked the door, steeling himself to see something terrible.
But remembering how traumatized the girl was when she returned after seeing Michelle’s room, Antony didn’t open the door.
Instead, he locked it again and went to the boys’ dorm instead.
"Jeff, Pete!" he found two of his disciples and took them with him.
He didn’t explain to them what was going on, since even he didn’t know yet.
Instead, he just told them to stand guard by the door and not let anyone look inside.
And he advised them not to look too much either. He didn’t know what was inside, but it wasn’t a good sight.
Jeff and Pete quickly nodded and stood guard by the door.
All they knew was that something was going on regarding their new Junior Sister.
As Antony entered the room, they involuntarily glanced inside, but saw just a messy room.
But they didn’t follow Antony inside.
Quickly, Antony glanced through the room before his gaze drifted to the open bathroom door.
The girl must have seen something there.
So, Antony walked over.
And when he did, he understood why she was in such a terrible state when she returned.
Even he was shaken up by what he saw, and he considered himself quite experienced, even in disgusting things.
Just as Antony froze in front of the bathroom, Lucas was making his way into the dorm along with Francis.
When the students saw their headmaster, they were utterly confused.
Just what had to be going on in that room for the headmaster to personally come check it out?
After forbidding anyone from entering the room, Francis and Lucas entered, only to see Antony standing in the doorway of the bathroom.
"What’s there?" Francis made his way over first, only to freeze just like Antony.
Seeing the state of his two colleagues, and remembering that the girl had mentioned blood, Lucas frowned.
As a body-tempering individual, he had seen much worse and more disgusting things than Antony and Francis, so he hoped at least he would be able to process the thing if he saw it.
Walking over, he peeked into the bathroom.
"Uuh..." he frowned, stepping into the bathroom.
First, his gaze locked on the state of the wall.
Someone used blood to write on it "YOU WILL DIE!"
But that was just the most eye-catching thing. Not the shocking one.
"Someone did some butchering here!" Lucas concluded, stepping over the mess on the ground.
Antony and Francis snapped out of it.
"And they concealed it well. A barrier’s around the bathroom to block out the smell of rot and blood." Antony commented.
Being a Master of Detection, he wouldn’t overlook a barrier like that.
Francis remained silent, looking through the bathroom.
Bloody organs were scattered all around, some fresh, some already rotting.
And there was quite the variety.
Intestines tangled like ropes around roughly extracted and damaged brains.
Hearts, stomachs, lungs, kidneys.
Someone did a rough, but good work extracting them.
They weren’t damaged, if the rot was ignored.
Along with those intact organs, there were pieces scattered all around, torn haphazardly like someone did it on purpose.
Well, considering the state of the place, everything was probably done on purpose.
The three teachers couldn’t stay in the bathroom for long because of the disgusting stench and had to step out.
It was unbearable.
After stepping out of the room and locking it, Antony told Jeff and Pete to continue guarding the door until they sent other students to replace them.
The door was locked, but still.
Curious students were capable of wonders.
So, everyone was strictly forbidden from entering the room.
Then, the three teachers left.
They had to find Michelle.
The state of the bathroom was most definitely only meant to be a threat, so she had to be somewhere, hopefully still safe.
