Chapter 121: Cure For Depression

Scholar Emanuel continued, "They extracted the Quasars and entangled them so that they could have a way to get them back. They sent them through the barrier. Upon connecting with those Quasars in the dreamland, they found out that they were somehow able to take over a person."

"They wanted to bring that person back, but unfortunately, it was impossible. The Quasar’s entanglement was broken—something that was supposed to be impossible. It turned out that entanglement remains true only inside one brane."

"This way, it became possible to Jump in one direction only. Zytherians and Ulthars all started Jumping, sending spies."

Scholar Emanuel relaxed on his chair and looked at me deeply. "And then comes you and one of your girlfriends, through whom we found out less than a year ago how it was possible to bring the Quasars back. The idea was to not destroy the Quasars of the person we jump into. This way, his consciousness was saved, dormant behind the consciousness of the one Jumping."

"This way, we could contact the Jumper and observe his consciousness until that person showed clear signs that he wanted to come back. The exact way we did it with you. Then, by observing the Quasars of the person, we would create an exact copy of those Quasars here. The same things cannot exist; the new ones remained, and the ones in the other cluster were obliterated."

He concluded, "Thus making it possible to return the body to the previous owner."

I asked, "Was the consciousness destroyed together with the Quasars and then recreated here?"

Emanuel answered, "Not exactly. It’s more like consciousness got transported between the clusters. Consciousness is the only thing that we don’t truly understand yet. The only fact is that the bigger the comets, the more you start to think about the world being fake, a simulation. Every consciousness seems to be unique and undestroyable, but somehow it gets back to where the new resonating Quasars exist without a problem."

I thought for a while and then gave an idea: "I think that we should study consciousness. This might lead us to answers related to the barrier."

Emanuel chuckle, "Well I would like to see you try and find the answers. We have tried in many different ways before."

Later on, Scholar Emanuel put up some documentation on the holographic screen about the machine that made it possible to create and harmonize Quasars.

After the session was finished, I quickly made my way back to the Observer and left Coelus.

From there, I decided to check out the University of Excellence near Boston. I sat in my car and drove there. An hour or so later, I was at the spot.

I got out of the car.

Surprisingly, quite a few students were coming in and out. It was still months before the year would begin, and the building wasn’t finished, but I guess they were checking out the new university and considering their options.

As I was entering through the front door, some of the students seemed to have realised who I was and came up to me.

Amid the growing crowd of students recognizing me, I did my best to answer their questions and sign a few autographs. Nevertheless, as the crowd grew, I realized it was getting harder to get around in it.

"I’m glad you’re excited about the university, but I need to head inside for a meeting. Feel free to explore the campus, and I’ll be around later for any further questions," I announced, trying to disperse the crowd.

With that, I made a swift move toward the entrance, dodging a few more eager students who were still trying to approach me. As I walked through the corridors, I observed the ongoing construction and the meticulous planning.

As I entered the restricted area for professors, I overheard a conversation among a few individuals seated in the relaxation zone.

"Have you heard about Doctor Jarl’s story?" one of them asked.

Someone in the group responded, "No. Who is he?"

The speaker continued, "He was a Professor in the 1930s who went to Tibet and got deeply involved in healing practices and the monastic tradition of the monks there."

Another person chimed in skeptically, "And what’s so interesting about that? Seems like another crook."

The initial speaker then revealed, "Well... he found out about one very interesting tradition they had there. Rock levitation through dancing and music playing."

Laughter erupted among the gathered professors at the seemingly fantastical notion. Just as their amusement reached its peak, I entered the room, catching their attention.

"Good day, colleagues," I greeted them. "I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation. Rock levitation, you say?"

They greeted me and then I casually commented, "You know, there might be some truth to that story."

Surprised looks met my statement, and one of the professors chimed in, "You believe it?"

I replied, "There’s an interesting phenomenon called acoustic levitation. It involves applying a consistent frequency, say around 600Hz, and adjusting the amplitude and phase relationship between the waves. It creates oscillating pockets of pressurized air, exerting a force on an object that can counteract gravity. This is achieved through standing waves—two sound waves of the same frequency emitted from opposite directions and superimposed on one another."

A moment of realization dawned on the professors, and one of them added, "Actually, there’s video footage of rock levitation through sound waves. You might be onto something."

I nodded in acknowledgment and continued, "Exactly. If the monks in Tibet were playing music, especially if it involved precise frequencies and wave interactions, it could have led to acoustic levitation. They just needed to stand at strategic locations."

The professors seemed genuinely interested in the information I shared

I continued, "I think that this might be a great topic for research. Some devices attempt to manipulate cells within humans using electromagnetic waves, particularly those in the brain."

One of the professors chimed in, "It could further our understanding on the impact of sound waves on our biological systems. Instead of electro-magnetic waves, we could use sound waves."

As the discussion continued, I interjected, "There has been some research on the impact of specific frequencies on the human brain and our mental state. Scientists are exploring ways to resonate with the frequency of the neural system. In the long term, we could even use sound waves to manipulate cells however we like."

Encouragingly, I patted one of the professors on the back and said, "See, brainstorming is always good. I’m going to fully support this research if you decide to do it."

An older physicist among them nodded and said, "Alright. Let us start exploring by building a room that can send soundwaves with an extremely high accuracy of direction and frequency."

The group of professors began discussing potential plans.

As I walked away, I couldn’t help but reflect on the positive impact such research could have.

We could end up with innovative solutions for mental health.

Using soundwaves that have been carefully calibrated to help people with depression and other mental illnesses. This study could also lead to drug-free and non-invasive ways to improve mental health and well-being.

I was satisfied with the design of the offices and halls at the University of Excellence, and as I made my way out, I felt a sense of accomplishment.

Driving back home, I looked forward to some relaxation.

Upon entering the house, I headed upstairs and found my parents enjoying dinner with Veronica. I couldn’t help but be surprised at how quickly they seemed to have taken a liking to her.

I took off my cloak and approached them.

"Hey. Where is Oliv?" I asked.

Veronica ran up to me, her blonde hair falling on my shoulder, and hugged me, saying, "She went to the shop."

As I joined the dinner table, my father mentioned that there was news for me.

He handed me a letter, and as I opened it, a sense of déjà vu washed over me. It was a letter from Norway.

I opened it up with the knife on the table and took out a piece of paper.

It was information about being nominated for the Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2025.

I was nominated for establishing the Unified Quantum Theory and my research on it, demonstrating the possible entanglement of two atoms by achieving String Harmony.

Veronica peered over my shoulders to read the contents of the letter, and with excitement, she exclaimed, "We need to celebrate this, no?"

I took a moment to consider and then turned to my parents, saying, "I have an idea."

My mom regarded me with suspicion and asked, "What is it?"

"What do you think about visiting an unknown planet for a day?"

She looked puzzled, "You want to explore an uncivilized planet?"

I clarified, "No, that’s not what I meant. I’m just talking about taking a break somewhere new."

Veronica ran to Oliv’s room and yelled, "I am already getting ready!"
