The Extra Seeks Chaos-Chapter 154: Battle [3]
Arin stood on the second floor of the male dorm building, searching for Alex through the gaping hole in the wall.
"This is going to be tough....."
He jumped down and landed on the ground as he gripped his swords and began walking forward.
"Hahaha!"
Arin heard Alex’s laugh and also spotted him.
"You’re surprised, right?" Alex asked. "Well, this form is powerful.... More powerful than the form I took when we fought in that forest."
"Just keep it in mind now that this will be your end, Chaos," Alex said as he gripped his staff.
Finally, they both stopped walking and stood a considerable distance away from each other.
Arin exhaled loudly, and then....
"Aura," he whispered.
Instantly, a red aura shrouded him like a thin layer of defense, increasing his physical capabilities slightly. Well, the aura skill was mostly for defense and making weapons.
But Arin wasn’t done.
"Overheat...."
The next instant, red lines began appearing on his skin, but the most noticeable thing was the red smoke now oozing from his body as if he were boiling.
Arin could feel his physical capabilities increasing rapidly. It was an almost intoxicating feeling, and it felt like if he didn’t control himself, he could get lost in that feeling.
Though, Arin was able to control himself while using the Overheat skill. Being a Progenitor was one of the reasons.
He could also feel his senses expanding.
’Though, there’s a time limit, and also a.... Drawback,’ Arin thought.

He hadn’t forgotten that the skill could only be used for ten minutes, and after the time elapsed, his physical capabilities would be halved for five minutes.
Without wasting time.....
BOOM!
He bolted towards Alex with immense speed, faster than before.
Alex’s eyes widened slightly. ’I can barely follow his movement....’
He quickly raised his golden staff, and numerous lightning bolts instantly formed in front of him.
With a single command, they all rushed towards Arin, but then....
"Arcane Chaos....."
A purple energy instantly left Arin’s body, and in that instant, the lightning bolts began changing trajectory.
Some moved to the left or right, crashing into the buildings and destroying them more, while some turned back, heading toward Alex himself.
"Shit," Alex cursed as he quickly deactivated the spell before they could get to him, but by this time, Arin was already close to him.
They both locked eyes, and then.....
"Death’s Whisper."
Arin’s eyes glowed purple, and Alex suddenly found himself in a dark space that felt oddly familiar, but in that same instant, his mind came back to the real world.
Without even saying anything, he quickly raised his staff.
BOOM!
Arin’s sword clashed against Alex’s staff, sending Alex flying with great force.
BOOM!
He crashed into the female dorm building as the debris fell on top of his body.
When Arin had activated the Death’s Whisper spell, Alex had found himself in the dark space again, but because his current form strengthened his mental fortitude, he was able to resist it instantly.

He knew that Arin would have already been swinging his sword, so immediately after he resisted the spell, he instantly raised his staff, though Arin’s strength was just too much.
Alex got up from the pile of rubble, but Arin had already leaped up and arrived on the third floor of the female dorm building, where Alex was.
Arin swung his sword again toward him.
Instinctively, Alex raised his staff, and a bright golden barrier instantly appeared in front of him.
BAM!
The barrier blocked Arin’s strike, but the building wasn’t spared.
Before the floor could get destroyed, Arin leaped back, and Alex leaped forward.
The floor instantly got destroyed as all the debris fell to the room below.
While midair, Arin instantly summoned water spikes and water balls, sending them toward Alex, who was also midair, above him.
Alex’s eyes glowed green, and with a wave of his staff, sharp winds were generated, clashing with Arin’s attack.
CLANG!
Arin’s water attacks were instantly destroyed.
As soon as he landed, he dashed toward Alex again.
WHOOSH!
Alex summoned wind, water, and earth spikes, sending them toward Arin, including fireballs.
Arin grinned as he increased his speed. He didn’t want to use his Chaos element spells too much to avoid the weaknesses, so he relied on his physical capabilities.
He raised his sword while running, and then.....
CLANG! BOOM! BOOM!
He began swinging his sword, deflecting the incoming attacks while dashing toward Alex at the same time.
Finally, he leaped above the last fireball and swung his sword toward Alex.
"Not so easy!" Alex roared as an earth wall formed in front of him.
BOOM!
The earth wall was instantly destroyed by Arin’s sword, but he suddenly felt movement beneath him with his enhanced senses.
Instantly, he leaped back, and in that same moment, spikes sprouted out from the exact same spot he had been.
Arin quickly stretched out his fists toward Alex as blood energy gathered in front of them.
BOOM!
Instantly, blood orbs began blasting out toward Alex with great speed, followed by blood spikes.
Alex began dashing forward, toward Arin while forming little barriers made of the light element.
Alex’s barriers were able to stop the blood orbs and spikes as he continued dashing forward.
He grinned as he evaded some of the orbs. They instantly destroyed the ground, causing debris to fly everywhere.
"Thankfully, Brad is on leave and won’t be back till tomorrow," Alex muttered. "So no one will interrupt me.... I must come out victorious."
He had also set up a large barrier around the male and female dorm buildings, including some other buildings around.
The barrier covered the entire space where he, his clone, Arin, and the other four were present. So, the students who were all in various other buildings in the academy, hiding from the "vampires," were outside the barrier.
This way, any student who was brave enough to think about joining the fight wouldn’t even be able to do so because of the barrier.
Alex had finally gotten closer to Arin, ready to activate a spell, but suddenly, Arin’s eyes glowed red, and he suddenly stretched out his right hand with a grin on his face.
Before Alex could even say anything, Arin had already initiated the attack.
"Blood Dragon....."
