The Extra Villain: I Made a Contract With The Dragon Empress!-Chapter 275: Saving Victor
"Victor?" Jason’s eyes widened. His gaze locked onto Victor, whose body was floating inside one of the water-filled tubes.
’How could that person be here? It was clear now why I hadn’t sensed his presence,’ he muttered irritably.
He didn’t rush to act. Instead, he observed what the man who had just entered would do.
"Jie... jie... jie... how funny and sad at the same time. They’re all the next sacrifices. Soon, the demons will appear in this place and wreak havoc! Hahaha!"
The ugly old man laughed heartily, spreading his arms wide in pride.
He glanced at the unconscious people inside the tubes with a playful gaze.
As an important figure in this ritual operation, he was certain he would receive a huge reward later.
That was why he eagerly awaited the final ritual to summon the demons.
Just as he was immersed in his excitement, a cold voice came from behind him.
"So that’s your goal. I understand."
The old man’s eyes widened. Before he could react, a powerful blow struck the back of his head.
His body flew several meters before crashing into one of the tubes, shattering it.
Water gushed out, followed by the destruction of the other tubes.
"Ouch! It hurts! My head hurts!" He writhed on the ground, rubbing the back of his head.
Jason didn’t care about his reaction. His gaze shifted to the tube containing Victor, and he destroyed it.
Splash!
Water sprayed in all directions, forcing Jason to step back.
A few moments later, the water receded completely. Jason lifted Victor and placed him somewhere safe.
There was something more important to deal with first—the old man.
"Ouch... what happened? Who attacked me?!" the old man shouted angrily.
When he looked up, he saw Jason standing before him, his expression grim.
Fear spread across his face as he retreated in panic. A wall blocked his path, leaving him trapped.
"Don’t attack me! I’ll report this to my leader!" he threatened, his voice trembling.
Instead of showing fear, Jason grinned, crouched down, and clamped his hand around the old man’s throat.
"Do you think I’m afraid? Your leader? If you can, call him now. I’ll wait."
The grip loosened, allowing the old man to breathe again.
"Wait... I’ll call my leader!" he growled.
He knew the man before him was a professor from Saint Freya Academy, but that didn’t intimidate him.
His leader would definitely come to save him. He quickly formed a strange hand seal and tried to contact the head of his organization.
Second after second passed, but there was no response.
His face turned pale, and his heart began to pound.
"What’s wrong? Didn’t the leader you’re so proud of answer your call?"
Jason’s voice sounded playful as it came from in front of him.
The old man panicked. Fear seized him, and the urge to escape surged within him.
Just as he was about to use a silent killing technique, Jason clenched his right fist and slammed it into his face.
Boom!
The blow smashed the old man’s head into the wall, cracking it.
Fortunately, Jason held back. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been the wall that cracked, but his skull.
"Argh!"
The pain made him howl miserably.
Bang!
Another punch followed, even heavier than the last, cracking his skull.
Bang!
Bang!
Jason didn’t stop. He continued to strike with measured blows, focused on one thing—to make the man suffer without killing him. It was pure torture.
Only after the twentieth blow did Jason stop. His fist was soaked in blood, while the old man had long since lost consciousness.
His body sagged to one side in a pitiful state, but his faint breathing showed he was still alive.
Jason took out a handkerchief, wiped the blood from his hands, and tossed it aside.
He turned and walked toward Victor. When he checked his condition, his expression darkened.
"His breathing is too weak—I can barely feel it," he muttered. "But luckily, I arrived in time. Otherwise, he would’ve met the Grim Reaper."
Reaching into his pocket, he took out a bottle of silver-grade potion and poured it into Victor’s mouth.
Seconds passed before Victor’s unconscious body stirred.
His eyelids fluttered open, and he mumbled dazedly, "What happened? Why am I here?"
Jason let out a soft sigh of relief. "You finally woke up, Victor. Good thing I arrived in time. Otherwise... I don’t know what would’ve happened to you."
Victor was startled. He turned toward him and whispered, "Jason? Why are you here? And... what do you mean by that?"
Seeing how weak he still was, Jason chose not to answer.
He crouched down, helped Victor onto his back, and lifted him up.
The priority now was to get Victor out of this place. Only then would he go after Leina and Merlin.
Without hesitation, he stepped outside and left.
...
Boom!
Leina slammed Khar’s massive body into the ground, creating a two-meter-long crack.
Half of Khar’s body was destroyed, leaving the other half barely intact.
Exposed flesh and bone were clearly visible, enough to make anyone tremble in fear.
Leina pulled her hand away from Khar’s face and snorted coldly.
"You lost. Give up—there’s no point in fighting me," she said calmly.
She had thought Khar would be a threat, but she was wrong. He had clearly relied on forbidden potions to reach his current strength.
Khar gasped for breath, his face deathly pale.
"Leina... Solayne... you... forced my hand!" he roared.
Boom!
A violent wave of black energy erupted from his body.
Leina’s eyes widened in alarm. She quickly raised a magic barrier around herself and stepped back twenty paces.
The aura grew stronger with every passing second, sending out continuous shock waves. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Khar’s body slowly lifted into the air. Under the horrified gazes of Leina and Merlin, he grinned and shouted, "I offer myself to the demon!"
Boom!
An even more powerful explosion followed. Demonic energy surged from his body, making Leina’s and Merlin’s hair stand on end.
Leina’s eyes widened in fear. She turned swiftly, leaped toward Merlin, and grabbed his wrist.
"Run!"
Buzz!
Their figures vanished from sight.
A few seconds later, a dazzling black light appeared and detonated violently.

Whoosh!
Merlin and Leina reappeared two hundred meters away.
Leina panted as she looked at Merlin, her expression serious.
"Merlin, later you—"
Before she could finish, a massive explosion erupted not far from them.
Black smoke billowed from a huge crack torn open by the blast.
"Damn it!" Leina cursed. "That bastard really did it!"
