The Extra's Advent: My Villainess Fiancée is a Yandere-Chapter 9: Disaster Magnets
"...That’s a wyvern, you idiot."
Hearing those words, even the usually calm Elowyn frowned and drew her sword.
Following her action, Luke pulled out his twin daggers.
Mira and Cael, however, didn’t bring out anything.
Well, both of them had different reasons.
Mira didn’t need any. As for Cael, he... forgot.
Yes, he really did forget to bring his weapon.
Don’t blame him, okay? Even with "Caelir’s memories," he still hadn’t fully adjusted to this world.
"Luckily, it’s just a mindless beast. But don’t be careless, it’s still an [Imperfect Gold] monster."
Luke said as he stepped forward.
Just like humans, monsters were also measured by rank.
But unlike humans, monsters only had two grades: [Imperfect] and [Perfect].
People had already begun evacuating to the restaurant’s basement.
The basement was made of reinforced metal and powered by an energy barrier; it was strong enough to hold until reinforcements arrived.
The wyvern, rapidly closing the distance, released an energy breath.
Just as the beam neared the building, Mira raised her arm and swiped to the left.
An invisible barrier formed; it was made of mirrors and reflections.
When the energy beam struck the mirror barrier, there was silence.
No explosion.
It was as if the mirror had swallowed the attack whole.
The wyvern sensed danger and attempted to retreat, but it was too late.
From within the mirror, the wyvern’s own breath was reflected back at double the speed and power.
The attack slammed into the wyvern, sending it crashing into the ground with a thunderous bang.
Luke and Elowyn instantly moved, intending to finish the wyvern while it was grounded.
But then something unexpected happened.
The wyvern’s body began to dissipate, as if it had never been real, nothing more than an illusion.
Still, they didn’t lower their guard.
They could sense the presence of two people at the crater.
"Goddamn it... I told you, the two of us can’t pull this off without the youngest."
"Sigh... whatever. We’ve been discovered. Let’s finish this quickly."
Two men wearing black full-body suits and face masks spoke to each other.
"By the way, where’s the youngest?"
"It seems he found the target."
Mira, Luke, and Elowyn heard every word and readied themselves.
"Who are you?"
Mira asked in a sharp tone.
The men ignored her and continued,
"Even kidnapping one of them will earn us millions. Hehe."
Mira’s anger flared. She raised a finger and pointed at them.
"Do you really think you have the power to kidnap us?"
The men exchanged a glance before replying,
"Indeed, we’re not your match. But our youngest is more than enough to kidnap your little friend over there."
He pointed toward Cael, who was standing a short distance away.
Cael was confused when the main trio suddenly turned toward him with worry.
’What did I miss?’
He turned around, just in time to see a shadow fall over him.
In a split second, he vanished from the spot, swallowed by darkness.
...
Meanwhile,
On the other side of the mountain, a silver-haired boy sat casually on a wooden bench.
He tilted his head and muttered,
"What happened to the clone?"
It was Cael, the main body.
Yes, the one who had been kidnapped was only a clone.
After reviewing the clone’s memories, he spoke in a low voice,
"Sure enough... as the wise one said, the main characters are disaster magnets."
...
As soon as Cael disappeared from Mira’s, Luke’s, and Elowyn’s sight, they launched at the kidnappers.
They couldn’t use any killing moves, because only the kidnappers knew Cael’s current location.
So, they were forced to restrain them without killing them, which put them at a disadvantage.
But that didn’t mean they were out of options.
Mira used her power to encapsulate all of them within a mirror barrier, filled with endless reflections.
The kidnappers tried to run, but the moment they made contact with the mirror walls, they found themselves thrown back inside.
With that, their escape was partially sealed.
Now, they had two ways out.
The first was to wait for Mira to run out of mana, which was highly unlikely in a short time.
The second was to break her concentration on maintaining the barrier.
With that in mind, the kidnappers launched themselves toward Mira.
Of course, Luke and Elowyn weren’t going to stand by and watch.
And so, their blades clashed violently.
...
Sub Shadow Realm
It was the boundary between the world of the living and the world of shadows.
Here, every being could see and hear, but... everything was dark. No, more like a space without light.
Many might ask whether darkness and a space without light were the same.
Were they correct? No. In true darkness, even light bows its head.
But here in sub shadow realm, light can be illuminated.
Cael’s clone found himself here. All he could see was pitch black.
He tried to move forward and found that he could walk without any problem.
He clapped his hands and heard the sound echo.
Cael didn’t feel any discomfort either.
"Where the hell am I?"
He muttered to himself.
But his words continued to echo through the realm.
Just as he was about to ask his main body to dispel him, he heard footsteps behind him.
Cael glanced back and saw a man dressed in a full black suit, his face hidden behind a mask.
This man was the "youngest" the other kidnappers had spoken about.
"You’re even more of an idiot than I heard, Caelir Vayne."
Cael raised an eyebrow.
"Oh... you know me?"
The man nodded and said,
"Originally, I was going to kidnap your brother, Lucian Vayne. But the moment I got close to him, he stared right back at me."
The man’s voice trembled as he continued,
"I’m no amateur with the shadow element. But if I had any less mastery in my concealing, he might have seen through me."
He pulled out a dagger and pointed it at Cael.
"So we changed our target from your brother to you. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a genius like him or an idiot like you. Anyone from the Vayne household is worth it."
The man laughed as his figure dissolved like smoke, his words echoing behind him.
"Hehe... don’t worry. I won’t kill you. But you’ll feel a little pain."
Cael simply stood there, unbothered, processing the man’s words.
’So, in short, he got scared of Luke’s gaze and switched targets to me.’
’Sorry, buddy. All your effort is wasted.’
’I’m just a clone. And even if you caught the main body, the Vayne household wouldn’t agree to your terms, since I’m no longer part of the Vayne. Not that it’s public knowledge.’
’Now then... how should I handle this? Should I ask the main body to dispel me, or test my combat abilities here?’
