During that moment of thought.

I was certain I had nothing up my sleeve to get past Aldric.

He was simply out of my range and I couldn’t have possibly closed the distance between us during that time.

But if it was for certain, then I would have cooperated.

FWANG

[Skill Slot 1 Has Been Opened!]

[Would you like to create a skill?]

[Yes | No]

I knew exactly what to do when I clicked yes on my screen.

"I’d like to create a skill that allows me to shoot bullets out of my fingers."

[Detecting and Matching skill description.]

DING…

[A skill within the system has been matched.]

[The following skill is being shown…]

[Skill 1# - Mana Bullet (LV. 1) - Project mana-infused bullets from your fingertips. The longer you charge the bullet before releasing it, the greater its damage output.]

"Yes,"

[Transferring skill... the skill has been stored in your memory.]

As soon as my brain woke up, my body reacted without hesitation and I found myself pointing a finger at Aldric.

I was well aware of the power of my mana in this state, and all it took was a moment to feel it surging through my body.

With each passing second, the urge to release it grew stronger, coursing through every part of me.

"Bang,"

With the bullet of mana soaring through the air, it struck Aldric straight to the head, and he fell unconscious of my one shot.

Thank god my mother is safe now.

All I have to do now is just recreate the synergy that Ezekiel and Leanne did earlier.

I made my way to Ophelia’s bedside and noticed that her condition had worsened due to the poison.

The mana used by Leanne and Ezekiel were only sandbags that pushed the already exorbitant amount of poisoning within her body.

After seeing what Ezekiel did no matter the situation, I knew saving a person’s life was the right thing to do and now my only option was to use my memory to recreate everything I had seen before.

[Trinity Trait Skill: Replication Technique: Mana Direction, Flow and Control]

I placed my hand just above Ophelia’s thigh and followed the main flow of poison with my own mana. I focused on guiding the poison out of her body.

If I could create a rush or a quick flow, it might be possible to save her.

But the thought of the poison reaching her brain and causing irreparable damage scared me.

So carefully I used my mana to collect and gather every trace of poison from her body. Once I had it all in one place, it formed into a glowing purple like energy ball about the size of a soccer ball. I couldn’t help but wonder how I was expected to handle such a powerful force.

[Time remaining: 0:15 Seconds]

"mhmm…"

"…!"

Ophelia’s eyes opened for a second; I wasn’t sure if she saw me, but I needed her to go back to sleep.

"shh…"

I put my finger to my lips, and she quietly closed her eyes again.

With Ophelia drifting back to sleep, I focused all my concentration on expelling the toxic energy I had gathered within her.

Taking a deep breath, I placed my hand over her mouth and used my mana to create a channel, guiding the poisonous energy up through her throat.

"Come on, come on," I muttered, sweat beading on my forehead from the effort.

With a final push, the glowing purple orb of poison erupted from Ophelia’s mouth. I quickly contained it with my mana, not daring to let even a drop escape.

But then came the question: what was I going to do with this deadly substance?

I scanned the room for a suitable disposal spot, knowing that this energy would have been better used elsewhere.

[5…4…3…2..]

In a split-second decision, I pointed my finger at the floating orb above Ophelia and unleashed a bright beam of blue light powered by my mana.

BOOM!

The beam pierced the orb and dragged it away.

With a loud blast, the beam shattered through the ceiling, causing the poison to explode in the air from outside.

[The Trait: Trinity Has worn off… all stats have been reverted to their original state.]

As the last traces of poison dissipated into the night air, I felt my energy drain away. The Trinity trait faded, leaving me feeling weak and shaky. I stumbled back from Lady Ophelia’s bedside, my vision blurring at the edges.

"Julian!"

My mother’s voice cut through the fog in my mind.

I turned to see her rushing towards me, her bonds somehow undone. She caught me just as my knees gave out, cradling me against her chest.

"Is that really you, my foolish little child…" my mother murmured and just looking from above, she had tears in her eyes.

"What have you done?"

"Saved her, I think. Is she okay?"

Erica glanced over at Lady Ophelia, who was breathing steadily, her color already improving.

"Yes, I believe she is. Thanks to you. But… your hair and eyes, how did you?"

"I don’t know. I didn’t think I could do this, but please don’t tell anyone about this."

I knew there was something off ever since I had been born into this world.

In this life, I wanted to be strong so that I could defend myself from anything and any person that tried to hurt my loved ones or even myself.

I had all the powers in my hand now, but I could tell that this lineage and blood of which I hold in my body is something much more special than anything I had ever expected.

Godford...a name associated with both demons and gods. It doesn’t make sense.

If my abilities are linked to this name, then there must be a reason why my mother kept our family name hidden all these years.

And even more curiously, why she kept it a secret her whole life.
