The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 294: Return.

"Uh? What’s wrong?"
"Come over here," Ethan ordered, instead of answering her question. He fixed his gaze on her and followed her every movement until she climbed on the bed to join him.
"You’re the one who needs to calm down, Shikera. Except you want to tell me I just signed over my corporation, then don’t hesitate to say whatever it is," he said.
Shikera nodded. Resting her back against the headboard, she decided to say everything all at once. From her pregnancy to the contract their parents signed; to what she just made him sign and finally, what they were to expect after she gave birth.
"Ethan, before I say anything, keep in mind that I love—"
"A second, Kera," Ethan interjected. He picked up his phone whose screen was lighted up with a message notification.
"A minute. It’s Raymond." He got out of bed, walking out of the room to read whatever message it was that was sent to him.
Shikera’s brows raised at that. Though she wasn’t the least bit curious about the contents of the message he received, his expression as he walked out of the room aroused suspicions. He looked... flustered, maybe.
She waited patiently until he came back after a minute, like he promised.
"Hey," he called, walking to the closet where he took out a clean shirt and trousers.
"What was the call about? Where are you going?" she asked.
Ethan replied, "Just to take care of some business. It’s nothing, really. I’ll be back before you wake."
"Oh... alright then."
Her solemn tone made Ethan look up, his gaze softening as he paused in buttoning his shirt.
"You wanted to say something. It’s urgent, right?" he asked.
"No, it isn’t. I can always tell you some other time," Shikera replied. Yeah, she was sure if she told him now, he might miss the important stuff Raymond called him to attend to so she would stall just until the next morning. "When will you be back?"
"Tomorrow. And before I forget, we’ll return to our home tomorrow too. Your dad and Noah will be right after us so don’t worry about them," he informed, a smile playing at the edge of his lips.
Shikera returned it. It was an information that made her genuinely happy as she felt she would finally be able to rest from traveling from one place to another.
"I’ll be waiting."
Ethan nodded. Fully dressed, he approached Shikera to kiss her lightly on her lips.
"I love you," he muttered. Without bothering to wait for a reply, he turned and walked out of the room.

"Don’t you have the room card with..." Shikera trailed off.
Having expected to see Ethan behind the door, she was taken aback when her brother’s face was the one that popped in her view.
"What are you doing here, Noah?" she asked, her voice dripping in disappointment. She could remember clearly that Ethan said he would be back today and she had been waiting for him since early that morning. It was noon now yet he wasn’t back.
"Escorting you to the airport," Noah replied. "You know you shouldn’t show me how disappointed you are to see me."
Shikera ignored his words to ask, "Where’s Ethan?"
"I don’t know. Only received a call from him to come here."
"The airport... I’m traveling back by air?"
Noah released a sigh of frustration, nodding.
"If we are to get back as soon as possible, traveling by air is our only option. You think you would be alright? Your baby too..." he said.
"We will be alright. I would only have to endure half a day in the hospital so it should be alright," Shikera replied. There was no way she would inconvenience others with a long journey just to avoid half a day in the hospital.
"Cool! Ethan said you don’t have to get anything from here; someone else would do that," Noah informed, eliciting a nod of affirmation from her.
She turned on her heels and went to pick up her bag and phone where they had been lying on the sofa, before returning to the door to join Noah.
"Good to go?" she questioned.
"Of course. You only have to stay awake until we get to the car. After that, sleep as much as you want and rest assured, you’d get home safe and sound," Noah dramatically instructed. It was obvious that he was making an attempt to make the grim look on Shikera’s face disappear.
Together, the siblings stepped into the elevator that would lead them down to the ground floor.

Cyprian hummed along with the song playing from her headphones as she jogged out the large exit doors of her apartment building. She was still deciding how many minutes to jog for on that particular day, when her mind suddenly went blank at the sight of someone leaning against a car at the front of the building.
"Ray...What the hell are you doing here?" she questioned. After the last meeting where he met with her brothers, he had completely disappeared from her sight and she thought they were over now.
"I came to see you. Anything wrong with that?" Raymond replied, his face blank and expressionless.
"No...of course not. I...I was just surprised," she muttered. Removing the headphones from her ear, she shifted it down to hang it around her neck. "So what’s up?"
"Get into the car. We have to go somewhere real quick," Raymond said, turning around to open the car door. Ignoring her questioning gaze, he gestured for her to get into the car.
"Am I not allowed to know where we’re going to?" Cyprian asked.
"The airport. Shikera’s coming back."
"What?!" Cyprian screamed in happiness. "She really is?! Today?!" she yelled, attracting the attention of passers-by to her and Raymond. The latter didn’t mind as having people staring at him was the last thing that would bother him. Instead, the fact that Cyprian was this excited at the return of her friend while she had been nonchalant earlier when she saw him, was more of a reason for him to worry.
Before he could speak, he was pushed aside by Cyprian who rushed straight into the car and slammed the door after herself without sparing him a glance.
