The Demons from the Outer Zone descended upon this world only in the past few years. But the ancient battlefield of immortals and demons has existed since the Ancient Times, and it was last opened seven hundred years ago! The timeline clearly doesn’t match. The ancient battlefield of immortals and demons might not belong to the world of the Red Flame Zone or the Heaven Patrolling Zone. Instead, it could be a world that had already withered during Ancient Times. For some unknown reason, it didn’t completely decay but established some kind of mysterious connection with the Heaven Patrolling Zone. Thus, whether their current world remained on the branches of the Universe Tree or had fallen into the decaying mire, it wouldn’t affect the manifestation of the ancient battlefield of immortals and demons! The Outer Zone Demons suppressed in the Demon-Suppressing Tower likely descended from other decaying worlds after the ancient battlefield’s own world withered. The cataclysmic war of Ancient Times might have been a battle between the indigenous cultivators of that ancient battlefield world and the Outer Zone Demons. The fact that Outer Zone races like the Thousand-eyed and the Human-faced Willow are not yet extinct suggests that the indigenous cultivators were most likely defeated in that war!
If my guess is correct, the value of the ancient battlefield of immortals and demons might far exceed what people imagine! It established a mysterious connection with our current world even before *that world* withered from the Universe Tree... Perhaps it’s also connected to other worlds. In that case, the ancient battlefield of immortals and demons serves as a valuable passage bridging unbreachable chasms. Maybe it can be used to reach other worlds that still remain on the Universe Tree, worlds that haven’t withered yet!

Just then, the bronze doors to the second floor of the pagoda burst open, and a putrid, decaying stench rushed out. After a cautious exploration, Lady Scarlet and the others raised their defenses and proceeded inside.
Shen Mo regained his focus. He reached out to touch the Golden Flowery Realm at his chest, his expression somewhat complex.
With this spatial treasure providing a barrier, Flower Fairy Ami is unaware of the situation inside the Demon-Suppressing Tower... They aren’t aware of the full implications now, but there’s no guarantee they won’t leak this information in the future, alerting the Outer Zone races that have descended upon the Heaven Patrolling Zone!
