The Sky Serpent was a majestic and deadly creature; it was a gigantic snake with a long and slender body, and it had blue and purple scales that shimmered in the sunlight. It had a pair of translucent purple wings that allowed it to fly and move through the air effortlessly and quickly. Its venomous fangs were elongated, and its eyes were yellow, giving it a terrifying appearance. Its long tail was tipped with a venomous stinger that could be used to whip its opponents. The Sky Serpent was a creature of great power and beauty that commanded respect and fear from all who saw it.

Elle's eyes shone with excitement as she read the card details. Not only was it an ultimate quality beast, but also one from a powerful race.

The Sky Serpent had an additional detail that no other beast summoned by her had until now. It had an immunity characteristic.

The Sky Serpents were called "King of Poisons" in the Sacred Dimension for nothing. Not only were they an extremely venomous species, but a rare few of them even had the "Immunity" characteristic.

When Elle saw the price quoted for the beast, she found nothing wrong with it. Even if the creature only had one skill, she still would have been satisfied with the cost because of the rare "Immunity" characteristics.

She excitedly showed the card to William, who had been silently waiting for Elle to find the card she desired.

William read the details and nodded with a smile, as he also liked the beast.

"Do you want to give it a try?" Elle asked William after she had found the beast she needed. ƒ𝑟𝙚e𝔀𝗲𝒃n𝒐𝘷𝗲Ɩ.c𝗼𝚖

William's luck was even better than Elle's since he had a ruling destiny awaiting him. There was a chance that William could find a beast that was even better than the Sky Serpent. Elle wanted him to try it even though he wasn't particularly interested in keeping a beast as a pet.

"Wouldn't me having a beast cause problems?" William asked Elle.

William was next in line to be the ruler of the Asquith Family and the Sun Elves. With his luck, he'd most likely get a beast from a powerful bloodline.

His having a member of a powerful bloodline as a pet might offend the race of the beast, causing a problem between the Sun Elves and another strong race. William didn't want to see that outcome become a reality. Since once he bought the pet, it would be like family, and William would do anything to protect his family members.

"Why don't you think of it as having a relationship with another powerful bloodline race due to the pet?" Elle considered this situation from a different perspective.

Elle knew her brother. He would never treat the beast as a pet; it would be a pet only in name. The beast might even prove to be a greater-than-ever bond between a powerful race and the Sun Elves.

William didn't immediately agree but spent some time pondering over what decision to make. Time flew by, and after a few minutes of discussion between him and Elle, he decided to give it a try.

William mostly agreed because of Elle's persuasion, so he promised her that he would activate the summoning switch at most three times. If he found one suitable beast in that time frame, he would buy it. If he didn't, then fate didn't want him to have a beast pet.

Elle didn't have a problem with it, so she stepped aside and let William take his turn.

Since someone else's turn had arrived, the number "10" on top of the screen disappeared.

William took a deep breath and pressed the switch, not thinking about the quality of the beast at all. William had left everything to fate for this situation, so whatever occurred, he would be satisfied with it.

Soon, five seconds passed, and a beast's image appeared on the screen. Not long after, a card flew into William's hands.

William didn't have to check the card to see the race of the beast on the screen as he recognized it. It was a member of the Basilisk group, similar to how Elle's first summon had turned out.

It wasn't Ghost Basilisk, but Shadow Basilisk, a higher-level bloodline than the former.

The start was good, as the Shadow Basilisk was of divine quality. William wasn't like Elle, who only wanted the ultimate quality beast, but he wanted one suitable for him.

Since William didn't like the Shadow Basilisk, he placed the card in its compartment and then pressed the switch, activating the second round of summoning.

The next moment, "1" appeared on the top of the screen while a square light box began to rotate at an unprecedented speed.

Five seconds later, the rotation stopped as a beast appeared on the screen.

William and Elle couldn't help but take a deep breath and look at the screen with a hint of nostalgia on their faces.
