Chapter 976: Bistrid(1)

With the sun rising on Thorr and the nearby cities, the store opened its door, announcing the start of a new day.

As Aakesh stood at the gate, the familiar sight of a group of people already there greeted his eye.

All of them were familiar faces. Aakesh didn't let them wait long and turned around to return to the store.

Despite forty-eight virtual portals in the store and forty people in the group, they hurriedly entered the store like a raging tide.

In no time, the store's gate turned empty, and all the customers were inside.

"Hello, store owner," Favan respectfully greeted Aakesh as he became the first to reach him.

Then the familiar routine followed, and Favan left after paying thirty-five lesser Sacred stones.

Customers approached Aakesh one by one and left for the portal room after paying for it, and soon, only Aakesh was left inside the store.

Not even five minutes had passed since the store's opening when an unfamiliar face greeted Aakesh's sight.

***

Bistrid belonged to the Wheat-Spotted Demon race. The race's name was such because of wheatish spots spread all over their bodies.

There were many different types of spotted demons, and Wheat-spotted Demons stood at the top of that list with only one other race.

The planet curiele was under the control of the Galaxy Obscura. Obscura was in the authority of the Voidborn race. Since the Voidborns stood at the same level as the Sun Elves, they had several universes in their control, and Galaxy Obscura was only one such galaxy of the countless ones they controlled.

The Voidborns didn't have enough manpower to control all those galaxies, so many of them were distributed to their subordinate races. The Wheat-Spotted Demon was one such race, and it regulated seven galaxies in total, with Obscura one of them.

Anyone below the Supreme God level couldn't control a galaxy, so it showed the Wheat-Spotted Demon's power by having six Supreme God cultivators, with one of them being peak, while two of them were late.

Bistrid's family was the supreme authority of the Wheat-Spotted Demons as his family contributed five of the seven Supreme Gods, with the peak Supreme God at the helm of the race being Bistrid's great-grandfather.

Bistrid's cultivation wasn't low either, as he was a True God level cultivator, with his sub-level being intermediate. Bistrid was less than fifty thousand years old, and he had already achieved such cultivation, so his family paid particular attention to him.

The arrival of Willian and Elle wasn't silent as they were from a race that stood on the same pedestal as the Voidborns.

The Wheat-Spotted Demons began finding the reason for their entry into this galaxy as soon as William landed here. The Obscura galaxy wasn't even top three of the galaxies they controlled, but it was at the sixth rank, with only Narrower at the last position.

It only took around a day for the demons to find the reason behind the Sun Elves' entry into the galaxy, and it was the store in front of Bistrid.

Since Bistrid was stationed in the Obscura galaxy and had a high status in the race, the Supreme God in control sent him here.

Bistrid's face was darker than the night, but the spots around his eyes were wheatish. The other body followed the same color pattern, but the number of marks increased around his chest. He stood naked in front of the store as there was no concept of clothes in their race.

The Wheat-Spotted Demons were a race suited for magic, so they weren't great fighters like other Demon groups, but their talent in magic was such that; they were born with an invisible elementary armor around them for protection. It was also the reason behind them not having any concept of clothes like other races.

Bistrid's face was cold as he had given up on his emotions long ago due to a particular trauma years ago. That trauma was also the cause of his reaching where he was today.

Bistrid's senses warned him against entering the store since he could feel an unbeatable opponent on the other side of the door. Since Bistrid wasn't one to stop over the death's fear, he raised his right foot and stepped inside.

The next moment, the surroundings around him changed as the barrier restricting him from seeing or hearing anything going on inside the store stopped.

Bistrid's eyes fell on the blue-skinned man sitting on the chair, looking straight at him.

Even Bistrid, who had this cold face for thousands of years, couldn't help but change his face when he saw those indifferent eyes. 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝒆𝘸𝚎𝙗𝒏oν𝙚𝘭.𝐜𝒐m

'Pride or Arrogance?' The question emerged in Bistrid's head as he sensed the reason behind those indifferent eyes.

Bistrid's eyelids suddenly trembled in shock as his sight came across the floor. How could he not recognize the stone used in the flooring? He had seen one with his own eyes when he went with his great-grandfather to meet the Voidborn controlling the universe in which galaxy Obscura.

Still, Bistrid didn't forget the reason for his coming here as he approached Aakesh and asked, "How do you know the heir of the Sun Elves?"

Aakesh only stared at the man and didn't answer. Bistrid waited for a moment, but seeing Aakesh not responding, he repeated the question.

Bistrid could sense an extreme danger around him if he dared to cause a stir here, so he maintained his calm.

"I am Bistrid, the officer sent by the law enforcement corps to find out the reason behind the Sun Elves' entry."

"It would be best if you answered all my questions honestly," Bistrid said. He introduced himself and his position, hoping for Aakesh to answer.

Bistrid wasn't one to give up on his duty when facing someone undefeatable, so if Aakesh still didn't respond, he would force him. Some might call it suicide, but for him, it was his personality.

"I am Aakesh."

As words finally began to come out of Aakesh's mouth, a slight wave of relief washed over Bistrid. Even though he would go as far as facing an undefeatable opponent for his duty, it didn't mean he didn't fear death.

But soon, the relieved feeling got stuck as Aakesh stopped after telling his name.
