The game has become a real alternate world-Chapter 526: Emergence of the Night Watchers
"Indeed, that’s impressive. I never thought the newly-formed Night Watchers would... hmm, be this mature."
The Bishop couldn’t help but say.
This was his sincere opinion; this was exactly what he thought.
Sometimes he considered that perhaps the Night Watchers had been established long ago, only revealing themselves officially a few years back.
"Because many can sense the arrival of the night, wanting to do something, unwilling to just stay put and merely watch," Blake said.
The Bishop opened his mouth but could only nod in agreement.
"Do you need any support now? After all, you’re the only ones capable of fighting like this. We can only watch from the sidelines."
Upon hearing this, Blake unabashedly replied, "Prepare enough food and water, and places to rest. High-intensity combat requires complete rest."
"No problem, that’s only natural."
During the exchange, the Bishop did not inquire about detailed information regarding the Void, as the primary concern now was to help the Night Watchers clear out the Void Creatures quickly.
Then close that unsettling Void rift, otherwise, everything would be meaningless. He did not believe these soldiers could clear out those Void Creatures.
A day had passed since the Void invasion.
The Night Watchers had all gone through one rotation, but the number of Void Creatures emerging from the rift hardly decreased.
The speed at which the Night Watchers cleared them matched the speed at which Void Creatures replenished.
Meanwhile, various factions of the United Army began frantically gathering and investigating all information about the Night Watchers.
This included the Elves, as there was a noticeable number of Elves in the Night Watchers’ ranks.
Ultimately, the information they gathered was:
The Night Watchers did not restrict race in joining, just like the Holy Light Church.
The Night Watchers were not dedicated to becoming a nation but firmly remained just an organization.
Understanding this information was primarily because at the current stage, the apparent leader of the Night Watchers was a Prince.
The Prince came from an enemy nation they were about to face.
This was very likely.
They had eliminated the Blood Race, and the remaining members of the royal family had already re-established their country on that land.
If it were a national-level force, the Night Watchers would not be worth trusting; the relationship with them would have to be reconsidered.
The diplomacy between countries and the diplomatic status between a country and a force are completely different matters.
At least, this world operated this way.
The various national forces simply applied the Holy Light Church’s template onto the Night Watchers.
Currently, the Night Watchers’ headquarters is in the Eastern Wilderness.
Their ideals, duties, and objectives are quite open.
To attack and clean up cultists, drive away the Evil God, and clear the invading Void.
They had known this philosophy from the beginning, and some were unimpressed.
But having faced the Void’s invasion and felt the oppression from the Void firsthand, they realized it more or less.
At least if the Night Watchers truly acted as they claimed, they would need to consider how to get the Night Watchers to build bases in their own countries upon returning.
The problem of the Evil God and the Void.
These were issues seen firsthand and experienced by the soldiers and officers present.
It was almost impossible to guarantee these problems wouldn’t occur in their own countries.
It’s prudent to befriend and maintain good relations with the Night Watchers organization.
After all, it’s just another organization similar to the Holy Light Church.
There might be conflicts of interest, but there should be more mutual cooperation.
At least at this stage, they might indeed very much need the cooperation from the Night Watchers.
As for the final information obtained, such as the Night Watchers being founded only a year or two ago.
Such information can be heard and dismissed.
Who would believe that?
Surely it had been hidden somewhere earlier, silently accumulating power, just like many organizations, even countries, or powerful forces.
