The General's Daughter Doesn't Want to Get Married!-Chapter 162: Defeated
Chapter 162: Defeated
Suddenly another light glowed around Yun Shu’s body, a bright and yellow light that was wrapping around her, disappearing the shackles around her little by little that were made by black magic.
"There is no time to spare anymore! Shoot!" With no time to spare at hand anymore, the leader panicked as he raised his hand, giving command while screaming on top of his lung.
’It’s almost time for the original plot to take place, hmm...’ Yun Shu thought lightly as she watched the man’s reaction, observing the situation around her as she did some calculations in her mind.
Yun Shu thought as she saw the restraint binding her disappear in the wind, leaving no trace. And after that, she was going to be pierced in her heart with the poisoned arrow, lose consciousness and die.
However, not this time.
It won’t be the same, because she had a promise to keep...
Pting!
Shaaaaaaaaa...!
The arrow was shot precisely, aiming right into her heart from behind. However, Yun Shu was right on time as she dodged the arrow, pulling down the old man by the collar to her side as she used him like a shield.
The arrow shot the old man in his right eye as he screamed out in pain, but Yun Shu didn’t even flinch, completely unbothered by what happened just now.
"Leader!!" The guys surrounding them screamed in anger and surprise. This event was something they didn’t expect.
The old man screamed until his voice faded, and his body stopped squirming after getting shot a few times. Yun Shu let go of the dead body as she pretended to clap down the dust on her hands, looking around them as she gave off a smile which felt like the most cruel thing they had ever seen before.
"So, who wants to join him next? Come forward, I’ll help you join him too."
The men in black all shivered in fear after listening to what she said, exchanging glances with each other. Their resolve to defeat her already crumbled when they saw how their leader died a brutal death like this, and now she was thinking of sending them to the afterlife the same way?
Just as they tried to run, it was already too late. Because a team of divine beasts were surrounding them by now.
"Take care of them slowly, leave no trace." Yun Shu spoke in a lighthearted voice, stepping out of the circle.
"What about you, General?" One of them asked her.
"The rest will proceed as planned, finish em’ all..." Yun Shu said as she stormed away from the place as the circle of divine beasts surrounding the demonic cultivators slowly got little and little, and sky zarring screams could be heard, though Yun Shu didn’t turn around to see the brutal murder happening, in an instant, the bloodbath within the circle turned into a stream as the divine beasts slowly left the area one by one, leaving no trace of the demonic cultivators behind.
To deceive the enemy troop, words were spread that Yun Shu got heavily injured and was fighting to the death in a coma, while this boosted the morale of the army after they heard how Yun Shu fought on their behalf and went into a coma. The whole story was confidential among some of the witness soldiers and divine beasts who were present there, as well as some of the trusted officials including Crown Prince Yun Si and Chi Yan, who delivered the letter to Bai Yunxian.
"Wow! It’s so boring just sitting around and doing nothing. I’m already feeling like going out and running a hundred laps!" Yun Shu complained as she pouted, sitting on her bedding and nitpicking.
"Yeah, yeah, I don’t mind you babbling nonsense. But don’t go and run around as you please, unless you want all our efforts to be destroyed." Zhu Zhengting didn’t get mad as he casually said the words.
After confronting Yun Si and sensing a danger against his little brother, Zhu Zhengting turned more careful around Yun Shu, protecting her and keeping an eye on her.
It seems that this guy was a trouble magnet, and he had to look after him if he didn’t want to get his brother cuckolded!
That was his excuse to keep an eye on Yun Shu, not that she minded him.
"But... Do you think it’s alright to continue keeping Xian Xian in the dark? He would be heartbroken if he were to find out later that we all deceived him like this." Zhu Zhengting furrowed his eyebrows as a shed of worry showed in his eyes.
After Yun Shu deviced her plan, Zhu Zhengting was against it. Especially the part where they all decided to keep Bai Yunxian in the dark about Yun Shu’s real condition.
"It’s unfair! She is Lord Yun’s wife, shouldn’t she know that he is out of danger so that it will keep her from worrying?" He was mad as he protested.
"Lord Zhu, I understand where you are coming from. But it would be great if we can keep her safe and out of danger, since after the enemy knows I’m in a bad condition and decides to come out altogether to kill or assassinate me. My wife isn’t good at acting, this piece of information can put her in danger."
Yun Shu’s words were in the right place, and Zhu Zhengting couldn’t refuse her either. So he also decided to keep quiet about it. Though he made a fuss about the content of the letter sent to Bai Yunxian being too harsh, he eventually had to comply with it.
And now he was here, taking care of his brother’s ’husband’ wholeheartedly.
"You should know this beforehand, Lord Yun. The men in our family are really good at bearing grudges, see how you can appease my brother after this."
"I’ll keep that in mind, thanks for caring, Brother in law!" Yun Shu acted cutesy on purpose to annoy the guy as she saw Zhu Zhengting leaving, then took a deep breath.
