Yun Shu was startled and shocked to see such a scene, because it was unexpected.

"What happened? Why are you crying?" Clasping his face with both her hands, Yun Shu made the guy face her as she asked him.

Even after being tortured to such an extent where his bones broke, he never cried so bitterly.

What was it that made him cry like a baby?

"As expected, that bastard fox made you cry, didn’t he? Just wait a bit more, I’ll take care of him right away...!" Yun Shu almost stormed out of the tent, only to stop when she saw the hands cluthing onto her clothes tightening.

"Lord Yun..." Bai Yunxian spat out the two words with difficulty as he couldn’t stop crying.

"Are you alright? Are you really alive? I’m not hallucinating, am I? You... you are real..." Bai Yunxian’s cry was desperate as he looked up at the man with his blurred vision.

He wanted to know that his coming to this place wasn’t just a dream, but a real thing.

And Yun Shu immediately sat down by his aaide, gently scooping him up as she put him into her lap, embracing him into her arms as she patted his back awkwardly, trying to calm him down.

"I’m here. I won’t go anywhere until you feel better so do what you want. Cry as much as you want, then tell me what happened. I’m all ears." Yun Shu said as she looked down at Bai Yunxian who looked like a little furball bundled up with a blanket, wiping away the tears from his eyes and face with her hands.

About half a stick of incense later,

"Sniff, sniff~" Bai Yunxian stopped crying, though he was still sniffing with puffy eyes that looked like a fish.

"Did you finish crying? Then you should take a bath and wash up your hair, it’s all messed up." Yun Shu smiled warmly at the guy who was all in a jumbled up mess.

"...!!!" By now, Bai Yunxian got back his consciousness as he was surprised after hearing this unexpected sentence.

It’s true that he came a long way without looking at himself, he was already a mess before coming here, and he did many more embarrassing things after coming here!

’What did I do?!’

Bai Yunxian screamed internally in shame of his unexpected behavior, while keeping his head low to hide the blush that crept up on his face.

"Lower your head a bit more, and it will fall off of your neck." Yun Shu teased the guy after seeing his embarrassed attitude and the clumsy attempt to hide that embarrassment.

"What?! Ahh!" Startled, he looked up, grabbing his neck to protect it subcontiously as he looked at Yun Shu, only to see the playful smile on her face.

’He was bluffing! I can’t believe he played me again’

Embarrassed and angry because he got fooled by Yun Shu again, Bai Yunxian pouted as he stomped his feet on the ground as he made his way to the bath, not looking back at Yun Shu, even though she can see his neck which was red as blood was dripping out of it.

"Heh." Yun Shu sat down on the bed as she rubbed her sore neck, at least he easied up and didn’t look as desparate as before.

It was worth it.

The bath was originally made for her, but it was Bai Yunxian who needed it more than her right now.

Since it’s a herbal bath, it will help him to relax and calm down.

Yun Shu still didn’t know what happened, but she can guess a gist out of it.
