Since he wasn’t inside the mech currently, it would be a bad idea to fight a confident enemy. So he laughed nervously and said, "Surely you jest, fellow cultivator. I don’t cheat people here. This is a reputable business."

Loki didn’t reply immediately. The first thing he did was to look at the exoskeleton in his hand and channeled his internal energy through it to make sure that there were no faults with it.

If it wasn’t clear before, it was clear now that he didn’t trust Tommy at all. Despite this being the case, Tommy continued to maintain his fake smile as if he didn’t notice what Loki was doing.

After Loki was done, he mused out loud, saying, "Interesting. I didn’t use a contract, yet you gave me exactly what I paid for without any tricks."

"Makes me wonder if you’ve done something to the armor that I can notice. If that is the case, then I can only say that I admire you."

Loki said he would be impressed, but Tommy shook his head and said vehemently, "I never cheat people. I always give people what they pay for. You can ask anyone, and they will tell you that I’m trustworthy."

Loki snorted, but didn’t press the issue. He changed the subject as he asked Tommy, saying, "How much will it cost to learn how to make something like this?"

This time, Tommy couldn’t continue to smile. His face fell as he said, "Over my dead body."

Loki tutted in reproach and said, "You’re not a child anymore, so you should know that we have to be careful with what we wish for. You never know, you might just get what you wish for."

He was threatening Tommy, but Tommy didn’t back down. He said, "I can’t tell you even if I want to. The knowledge of forging armor is a secret skill of my society. I will be killed if I were to tell you."

Then he stopped talking and paused to think. After thinking for three seconds, he said with some hesitation, "But if you were to join my society, I’m sure that something can be done. What say you?"

In response, Loki smiled and said, "That’s easy. How can I join your society?"

He thought that Loki would back down because Loki looked knowledgeable and should know that joining a society is an opportunity that is bought with something more precious than money.

But Loki didn’t seem to know about the cost, or knew but didn’t care. This made him confused for a while, but it didn’t delay his plan to rip Loki off.

He quickly smiled and said, "It is very easy to join. You just need to sign a contract with the leader of the sect. Everyone from the Forging Pathway is allowed to join. So someone as talented as you will be welcomed with open arms."

Loki nodded in satisfaction before saying, "When can I join?"

Tommy replied quickly, "As soon as you finish the initiation program."

Loki said, "OK. I can wait one month. But you have to tell your leader that I can only join if they can protect me from the Rein Family."

Tommy became solemn at the mention of the Rein Family. In order to make sure that there was no misunderstanding, he asked, saying, "Which Rein Family?"

Loki replied with a shrug, "Which other Rein Family is there? Of course, I’m talking about the ones from the Viking Blade Society."

So he said to Loki, "I will have to check with my leader first. I hope you don’t mind."

Loki asked in confusion, "Why would I mind? Wasn’t I the one who asked you to tell your leader about the Rein Family?"

Tommy remembered, so he said, "That’s true."

Loki had finished his business with Tommy. So he said, "Thank you for your service. Goodbye."

Then he turned and left with what he bought.

As he left, there was a spring in his legs. This was because he enjoyed forcing Tommy to behave.

He has killed Tommy many times in the past. But the feeling of killing Tommy is not as pleasant as the feeling of dominating Tommy in their transaction. Especially since he has killed Tommy one too many times and made it boring.

As for Tommy, he had narrowed his eyes as he watched Loki go. His mind was also churning with various schemes to take advantage of Loki.

Armors like this exoskeleton armor and combat armor like mechs are similar in defense and durability to the armor that he can create with the Liquid Metal Metac. But they have their differences, advantages, and disadvantages.

The main advantage of the Liquid Metal Armor is that it is quick to wear and use. Another advantage is that it can heal damage to itself by consuming its internal energy and some metals, so it is very easy to maintain.

The last advantage of the Liquid Metal Armor is that since it is a Metac, he can carry it around easily, and it will always be nearby for him to use. But its main disadvantage is also based on this fact.
