The effect of this widened gap between them is that even though the difference between their maximum energy capacity is still 3.518 times, Slav will be able to use as much as 5.402 times the energy that Jim can use in a day.
Not only will this make cultivation faster for Slav, but it will also mean that Slav will be able to fight for longer periods of time than Jim. The exact difference in cultivation speed and endurance can be as high as 5.402 times.
But no matter how high this difference is, it is still within the domain of normality. As for Loki’s situation, it is way out of this domain by a long shot.
Loki has a combined energy capacity of 308 units. That means his energy recovery rate at rank 1 was 5.133 units per minute. This is already 1.663 times greater than Slav’s enhanced energy recovery at rank 2.
Now that he has 308 energy threads, his energy recovery has improved by 308%. This puts his enhanced energy recovery rate at 20.944. This is 6.785 times greater than Slav’s energy recovery and 36.65 times greater than Jim’s energy recovery rate at rank 2.
As large as this gap is, it is not the end. Because Loki has four energy chambers, the 308 energy threads actually boost each energy chamber independently. So his total enhanced energy recovery is actually four times higher than it should be.
This means that the true energy recovery rate for him at rank 2 is 83.776 units per minute. Compared to Slav’s energy recovery rate at rank 2, his is 27.14 times higher. As for Jim’s, his energy recovery rate is 146.59 times higher.
The gap between the untalented Jim and the talented Slav is 5.402 times, but the gap between them and him is 146.59 times and 27.14 times, respectively. So he is making Slav look worse than untalented.
Since he is at the peak of rank 2 and his energy density is at level 8, the amount of energy a single unit of his energy chambers can hold is 128 times as much as what they used to hold when he just awakened. 10,723 seems like a lot of energy for one person to recover per minute. But it is much larger when it is considered that his total energy capacity is 39,424. This means that he is recovering all of his energy in a maximum of four minutes.
But this is only if he somehow runs out of energy completely. It will be very difficult for him to run out of energy because there is hardly anything that can make him use more energy than he is recovering per minute.
Rank 1 Metacs use an average of 10 units of energy per minute, while Rank 2 Metacs use an average of 100 units of energy per minute, and Rank 3 Metacs use an average of 1,000 units of energy per minute.
With a total energy capacity of 39,424 and a recovery rate of 10,723 per minute, there is just no way that a few rank 2 Metacs can tire him out. This is why it seemed like he had infinite energy.
Even a bunch of rank 3 Metac will be hard-pressed to tire him out. He will need to use 11 rank 3 Metacs at the same time before
rank 3 Metacs will be able to tire him out.
It has to be 11 of them because, as long as he still has extra energy recovery to make up for the depletion of his internal energy, his total energy will not run out, and he will still appear to have infinite energy.
Of course, the energy regeneration isn’t free. The energy has to come from somewhere, even if it appears to be infinite. Either the energy will come from his body, which will require food to replenish, or the energy will come from energy stones.
Both options will require a lot of money. So once he runs out of money, his energy recovery rate will become useless, no matter how high it is.
Fortunately, he has a lot of money, so he doesn’t have to worry about this. What he should worry about is how to fully utilize his high recovery rate.

Weapons and other artifacts are like Metacs in that they are temporary sources of power that he can’t take with him when he reverses time. But there is a way out for him when he advances to rank 3.
This way out is related to the Life Ability of rank 3 cultivators. This Life Ability is an advantage that rank 3 cultivators possess, just like the energy threads, the higher energy recovery, and the overload that rank 2 cultivators have over rank 1 cultivators.
